Einstien was a moron.

Hardly much of Einsteins theories are being proved true today and have helped in countless fields including electronics, medicine and of course space travel. His theory of relativity also explains many tnings we know to be true today.

I personally believe the theory of relativity coupled with some astronomy actually proves that the account in the book of Genesis could have happened the way it was written.

Imagine the universe being created on the edge of a quantum singularity. From current theory it is surmised that on one side times flows at a normal rate on the other side time moves much more rapidly (perhaps even millions of times faster). So from one side a day is a day but from the other side the same day is actually millions of years. This would explain the geological descrepencies we see. God didn't bother explaining this because the people at the time had no concept of relativity and advanced astronomy. Interesting idea eh?

Well, I may not agree with you on philosophy - but I find your views on science here intriguing! (I'm working to become a science teacher.)

I, too, think that God works on the quantum level - and thus the evidence for creation has been hidden.

Would be cool if this is what scientist eventually discover! :lightbulb:

Hidden? Yeah. I agree - TOTALLY! But... the quantum level? Barf! God doesn't need a quantum level or a quad scintillium hyper-excited level. Do you really think you can search out and find the mind of God? The Holy One? The Almighty wills it, and it happens. PERIOD.

Do you get my drift sis?

My Bible says He did it in six days. HE DID IT. Believe me Neb, you're NOT going to find out HOW this side of heaven. Why do you care about HOW He did it so much? Can't you just accept the fact that HE DID IT?

Can the finite ever understand the infinite? The Almighty? He who speaks and it happens?

You speak of quantum physics, quantum mechanics. Heck, even the string theory guys don't have a clue.

Me thinks you're on a wild goose chase here.

Please, put your brilliant and inquisitive mind to more practical matters, instead of trying to figure out how God does things. You NEVER will. Not here anyway.

God bless you precious sister.

Love yuh, :il:

John

I've always been a firm believer that science is in complete harmony with God. Some people may try to use it to say that god doesn't exist but in my opinion they're just misguided. The great thing about science is that it our knowlege of things constantly evolves as we learn more and we see what is actually possible. in the 50's we thought the sound barrier was unbreakable, today faster than light travel seems impossible, tomorrow who knows. Too many christians look upon science as the enemy rather than embracing it and trying to understand it's complex workings.

Take Charles Darwin, he's so often misquoted it's funny. Darwin simply said animals adapt to conform to their surroundings. He was a pious christian yet many christians curse his name.

Knowledge is power people.

It would make a heck of an argument for creation wouldn't it. That's enough for me. It both explains why there are descrepencies in timeline and why science seems to not mesh with such a short timeline. I know you guys will argue that god could have created it in 6 days, but if he did why would he leave evidence to the contrary?

You just trying to get another pie- aren't you?

Look, theres a verse in Proverbs that says something like:

"The heart of God is to hide a matter;

to search the matter is the heart of kings."

Inquiry is a God-given trait. Some people are curious about different things.

Aren't you glad someone got curious about electrical currents? Aren't you glad someon got curious about bacteria (taught us the importance of hygene, developed medicines, removed a lot of myths, etc.)? Aren't you glad someone got curious about the human body?

Well, quantum physics is just the next phase of scientific discovery. What is wrong with that? Understanding the atomic realm has done wonders for our ability to develop technologies.

Would you want people to stop developing better computers? What if the computer was never developed because people thought it was a waste? What if no one did the research that led to digital technology?

The whole fun us science is knowing what you didn't know before, understanding the world better, improving life, etc. Science is also peoples' jobs, as in income source. What's the point in me becoming a science teacher if science becomes dead (no new research, no new discoveries).

Think we know all we need to know? Why hasn't the cure for cancer been developed? Want to stop that esearch, too?

Just because I put a phiosophical twist on my understanding of science, is it evil?

I don't get it? Why the hatred against my love for learnig and knowing and finding new things and getting thrilled about such?

please do post us a credible source for your claim that bush endorsed china's threats. even the link you provided doesn't make that claim! maybe that jouralist is more discerning than you are.

you completely ignored my previous posts regarding this false baloney you're throwing out. but then, i've noticed that seems to be your style. hit and run insults with nothing to back them up.

Here are just some:

The Bush administration preaches "Al-Qaeda" is the biggest danger when in fact China is the biggest threat ever to the U.S. security.

You'll see how China will swallow Taiwan soon (before the chinese Olympics, that's a given) and how no one will do anything to stop them and how the red dragon will start spreading terror around the globe.

Hey Mobile!!!

Maybe i haven't read enough of your posts yet, but your Anti-Bush attitude really shines forth. I am curious though, are you a liberal who despises Bush or a right wing conservative that thinks he has betrayed the Party.

Doesn't really matter - just curious as I personally know both types.

John

Christians can't be so-called "liberals" or so-called "conservatives" because the christian political agenda fits neither one of those.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
