Reminds me of a Bible passage 1 Timothy 4: 1-6 " Now the Spirit manifestly saith that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error and doctrines of devils, Speaking lies in hypocrisy and having their conscience seared, Forbidding to marry, to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful and by them that have known the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be rejected that is received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. "

That says when people say don't get married and don't eat meat the 'last times' are upon us. Now I know that many of you have no special place in your heart for the Pope, but he is the head of the largest group of Christians so an attack on him in this instance is certainly an attack on Christianity as a whole, not to mention the cow on the cross. That made me a little angry and I am not so easily unsettled. I will get mad, however, if people start throwing out things like Catholics don't eat meat on Friday and priests don't get married, because those aren't very broad spectrum, 6 Fridays a year, priests= 1/1000 Catholics at best. These are in reference to society. Protestants have a very open stance regarding divorce and remarriage, and Catholocism has a correspondingly recent ease in the rules for annulment and hand them out quite too frequently, so there aren't any fingers to point in these regards.

Here is what the defenders notes from a KJV website said about that passage from the Bible if you want to read without consulting a concordance or other works. I usually consult the KJV and the defenders notes that accompany it even though I am Catholic it is a very good reference.

That website makes me want to hurl. I love cows. I love eating cows. I love raising cows killing them and eating them. I like cow in my mouth, on my burger, on a rib. I like cows pretty much just so long they are dead and on a plate. Cows are a big pain in the rear if they are alive. Take this from me, if you are a cow lover, it is probably because you never had to work with them. They are just big dumb animals, but they sure do come in handy dead.

My daughter is a vegetarian and is pretty radical, but not in the sense where she pushes it on anyone. You might say she is a "closet radical" :oww:

Those PETA ppl seriously need to read this:

They indeed worship the animals of heaven, earth and water more than they worship the Lord.
