She says scientist has been watching it, and it is very big. Does the bible talk about this should we be worry. I don't remember reading about this in bible. This worries me. I dont recall anything like this mentioned, and I read science news often, from several sources. Perhaps your friend is refering to any one of numerous hoaxes on the internet. Is there anything signifient about this year 2012, because I have been hearing a buss about this year and I though it was funny tigger398 mentions the date ( year ) 2012. Oh and I am not worried about the means of our end because I know I will be with Jesus. I am just hopeing it will be in my life time. The new agers have picked it up and suddenly its in our societys mindset. Since the mayans were 1) unsaved and lost in sin 2) practiced human sacrifice to false gods, I find it rather difficult to believe that they have any special revelation about the end of the world that the Jews and Christians dont have. Looks like your friend bought into the planet x - niburu hoax. This has been around since the 70s. There is nothing headed our way in 2012. Its next close approach will come in January 2012, when it will pass 0.178 AU from our planet. There is no chance of a collision http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast27feb_2.htm thats 16.5 million miles away :whistle (pretty close huh?) Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; Rev 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; Rev 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. Rev 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. How this relates to what your friend is talking about, I have no clue. I tend to look askance at date-setting. No matter what, the LORD is in control. I've had other people, I won't mention any denominations , tell me various doomsday dates that came and went. We're not supposed to know about dates anyway.
