We are supposed to get snow sometime tonight, but all day the sky has been clear. When I left church this evening the eclipse had just started, when I got home there was a dark cloud that came in and covered it!!!! Oh no! Luckily, it was just a little cloud and it went on its way. I go and look at it (it's too cold to go out and watch it, but I have a nice view from my back door).

Wednesday night's forcast:

Mostly cloudy

:emot-highfive::emot-hug::wub::thumbsup:

i know, i know......

the last time we had one that we could see, my sons were about 10 and 11..... got them out of bed (on a school night) so they could see it.... started after 9 pm and went until after midnight.......

their mother was upset with me, I did not care, for this was the first time I was able to see one, and thought they also needed the opportunity as well, she missed out.

they also got to see the Solar Eclipse while we were in Hawaii... i think they were too young to remember, I believe one was pre school and the other kindergarten..... have not been able to get as full an eclipse since.....we used my camera gear to view it..... some times these things are a once in a life time thing, even if they happen every so many years, being the skys can be covered in clouds, they might not be visible the next time....

if a person can view it, they ought to take the time and do so.... view the great things God has given us, and enjoy them.

well, i looked outside and couldn't even see the sky, much less the moon. too thick of a cloud cover.

BUT, for anyone who missed it, click here. it's in fast-motion, but it's still cool.

watch the lunar eclipse

let the page load, and then click "play"

An astronomy class was outside with some telescopes.

One of them was focused on Saturn (the bright "star" that was to the left side of the Moon). Now that was super cool! The scope was strong enough to see Saturn's rings.
