Is it okay to let this go?

I work with a person that uses the Lords name in vain all day everyday. At first I use to tell her that it is wrong for her to do that, but her responses was how do I know that shes talking about my God. I told her that I knew because no one every uses any other God's name in vain, but the true God. Her response was she doesn't believe in God. So I lefted it alone, but every time she does it it really gets on my nerves and I just want to scream at her which is not what Jesus would want me to do so I don't. How can I ignore her and don't respond when she doesn't do it under her breath, but yells it at the top of her lungs?

I pray for her, because I know that no matter what I say I can't bring her to the Lord only the father can do that, but I will continue to pray. :prayer

I would say to her, "If you don't believe in God, why are you calling out His name?"

she's not saved, so you can expect nothing less. We can't expect non-believers to act like Christians! Sinners will do just that, Sin! Better come to expect that.

Have you tried simply telling her it offends you? And asking her nicely to tone it down when you're around? I guess that's what I would do.

Someone is bound to ask you why you shouted out George Washington's name. You can tell them that you're tired of always hearing the Lord's name taken in vain, so you decided to start a trend by taking George Washington's name in vain! :oww:
