--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These questions are not to be answered outloud, but ones to ponder upon........

This evening, when you arrived at church, did you notice me?

Did you see that I was not happy?, that I was alone?

Did you notice that i was troubled? struggling with a major decission?

Or did you go off in to your little group, laughing and joking, talking about the neighbors dog, how sick it is and how terrible it is, maybe we ought to have a prayer request for it. cause the children are just heartbroaken that it might die.

Were you busy talking to the pastor or the pastors wife, trying to make some brownie points? so that you can be in charge of the fall bizzare.... or the rummage sale, or maybe even get a word in to do a "music special".......

Were you over there in the corner whispering to one of your friends how so and so should not be working in the childrens ministry.......

Where were you???

Did you notice I was looking around? hoping that some one would notice me? so i could talk and get a load of my chest?

Oh, here comes a guy in a grey suit, and one beside him in a black suit...... one reaches over grabs my hand and shakes it and goes on.... not saying a word.....oh Why couldnt he have just said hi..... Why couldnt he have just asked how i was doing?

As the service starts up in song and prayer, no one hears me mumble in no more then a whisper, Jesus, if you are real, have some one talk to me... so that I know what to do.....

As the service progresses, the pastor has every one leave their seats for a few minutes and greet others....

It is as if I am invisible........All but one little girl..... She comes up, smiles, stretches out her hand and says " Hi" my name is Kathrine, what is your name? I reply with my name... She says nice to meet you... Every one returns to their seat.

The rest of the service is numb, blank, not even coming thru to my ears........Talked about some programs that are going to be started..... Talked about money..... Talked about the picnic next week..... Even talked about how a person should live their life, but nothing about Jesus......

Where were you? When I needed you? Are you part of the welcoming committee? I filled out that visitors card... I even have the little visitors sticker on my shirt.

Oh, maybe it is my shirt, not fancy, just a clean coloured tee shirt..... My pants? well, they are clean pressed cotton slacks... Yes, I am wearing tennis shoes..... Nope, no tie .....

My hair? Oh shorter then some, longer then others.... Clean and brushed.. Clean shaven cept for sideburns to the bottom of my ears..... Just an average guy....

At the end of the service, there was an alter call, for those that are sick..... For those that know of others that are sick...then the pastor called for those that have let Jesus go for a while.... But what about me??

I dont really know who this Jesus is......

Why wont you call me...

Tell me about this Jesus.....

While the alter call was going on, the people that did not go up front left the sanctuary.... They stood out in the foyer talking and laughing and carrying on... really a noisy bunch...

As the people got done at the alter, they got up, wiped their faces, and left.... and joined the group out in the foyer...

Which one were you? where did you go???

Were you so tired that you had to go home real fast?

Were you going to be late for work?

Do you have children that you left unattended? Or does the baby sitter have to get home....

Soon, I am the only one left in the sanctuary, the pastor had already departed to shake every ones hand as they left.....

I got up, and slid out the side door.... Never to return.....

Where were you when i needed you.....

Where were you when Jesus needed you......

Where do you go sunday mornings? or sunday evenings?

Where are you when some one needs Jesus??

Remember, you are maybe the only one that a person knows that knows of Jesus..... and maybe waiting for you to just say hi.......

If some one is standing there by them selves, and no one talking to them, and they look hurt or puzzled or confussed or bewildered..... Dont just ignore them.... become Jesus for them.... Let Jesus come thru you so you can tell them about Jesus... So that maybe.... Just maybe this person will not slip out the side door..... un noticed .....Even with a visitors card filled out.... Who is going to call on him?

You do not have to be an "Official" greeter to greet some one, nor do you have to be on the "Visitation" committee to go and visit some one.....

Folks, this has happened all too many times ...... even with visitor cards filled out..... people are still not even contacted then...... the last three churches i have attended, never have called on me..... no, not even once.... thank goodness, i know who Jesus is...... Thank God I know Jesus personnally... for if I didnt, i would be that guy slipping out the side door.....

think about it....... where were you????

--------------

May God Bless you and keep you in His loving arms, rocking you to sleep at night, guiding your steps thru the days, and guarding you from all evil and dangers along the narrow paths of life, always, forever......

Your friend and brother....

Mike

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
