GOD has a personal will for each and every Christian's life.  Individually we are responsible to follow it.  All too often others in a well meaning manner try to bring Light in an area of a fellow believer's life whereby they think darkness exist.

Unless we're sure when we make that type of approach we should first inquire.  Reason being.....unless you or I walk a mile in that person's shoes we don't have a clue what GOD is doing in their life. (Romans 14)

You're a good brother and I enjoy reading your posts.  But my first responsibility is to follow in loyalty the leading of my Heavenly FATHER and the guiding influences of HIS HOLY SPIRIT in whose Word I am rooted and grounded in.  I love ya brother!  :thumb:

Now don't think this is a stupid question....ok nevermind it is !

Does this mean we have to get rid of our credit cards and debit cards?  What about the check book?.....We are on our way with the credit cards only have one and that will be paid off before our snow melts here!!!

some input would be good for me on this one..

and just a footnote I have heard of most of the people that are mentioned above but I honestly have a hard time watching them on tv...I tend to church channell surf to see if I can compare what they are all saying on the diff shows...it makes me dizzy so I just turn it off and pick up my bible :thumb:

Love and Blessing to all here

Oh, Angel...right you are! It makes me so dizzy it makes me sick so I don't watch too many.

Our brother Shadow has had some rough experiences but I have been blessed by the preaching of Joyce Meyers. I don't know about any prosperity teachings she's done - I hear a lot of ministers do get caught up in that stuff. I think she may have been but got out of it.  That's what I heard anyway.

I do love her teachings because she's so down to earth and has helped me. I do believe she supports many Christian charities around the world and is used mightily by the Lord.

If she was into the prosperity thing...I don't think she is anymore.

But I do think you can disturb your peace by listening to too many people. I don't. I listen to Charles Stanley and Joyce Meyers and sometimes Billy Graham but that's just about it.

I like to read Rick Joyner's books, also and RC Sproul.

I feel really uneasy about most television preachers.

There's this one guy who's on all the time...I mean all the time. He really gets a ton of airtime so he must be doing well. His whole show is focused on raising money...and he even has one show called, "Tri Vita" and sells vitamins.

I don't support people begging for money. I usually go to the ones who do little advertising and who are on a lean budget.

Those are the ones I know are trusting God to provide their needs rather than Madison Avenue advertising gimmicks.

It all comes down to scripture.  Know the Word, know it inside and out, know it backward and forward.  When they teach people how to recognise counterfit money-they teach them to become so familiar with the genuine-they can spot the counterfit every time.  This is how we need to be as Christians living in a world with so many teachers saying so many different things.  At the same time-we need to keep a teachable spirit so that we are able to learn from and draw water from the wells of living water that ministers bring us.  Whom I can learn from may not be the same as whom you can learn from.  For example, I do not like to listen to Charles Stanley but I really enjoy John Hagee, Joyce Meyer and Jack Hayford.  If I think they say something I don't agree with, I dig into the Word-spit out the seeds, and sometimes even change my mind on something that I thought I had down pat.  We live in a day that really fulfills the scripture of "heaping unto themselves teachers"  but it gives us ample opportunity to learn and grow.  We are blessed.

Grace, I know Joyce Meyers taught that, also..."spit out the seeds and keep what's good" and I laughed when I heard that...it's SO true.

I do the same...actually we do listen to John Hagee sometimes and I used to listen to Jack Hayford...but he's not on anymore where I am.  They're all great in their own ways and you're right - they minister to different people's spiritual needs.

I also think that Worthy Boards is a great way to share our experiences and to help one another to be accountable to each other...it's a wonderful way to keep in constant fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen!

I never got the "feel good, I'm a good person" message out of a Joyce Meyer sermon.

The fellowship I just came out of flat out ignored prophecy.

I don't understand. They didn't preach from the Bible?

What is it that you wish they had preached about?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
