Accounts and graphic photos of Iraqi prisoner abuse persist in the press despite the fact that the story has run its course.

The world already knows salient details of the prisoner humiliation and nudity, the causes of the abuse are under official investigation, and the courts-martial have begun. Yet, the caterwaul in the press against the American military and the war in Iraq continue.

The liberal media's SOP - if it hurts Bush - run it, if it helps Bush, hide it.

just out of curiousity.... are any of the other networks giving more than a passing mention to the fact that the first courtmartial has been completed, and the guy got the maximum penalty for his crime despite his "deal" for leniency in exchange for testifying against the others?

Given that I don't watch much of network of mainstream news at all, I can only say that Good Morning America was all focused on the abuse story this morning. They were going to interview some general, and all they talked about was how bad the scandal was for....blah blah blah.

They are like a freaking broken record. My wife turns that crap on in the morning and I am forced to watch 10 minutes of it while I get ready for work.

Personally, seeing Diane Sawyer every morning is enough to make you want to go back to bed and sleep it off. Can she plaster any more eyelash stuff on? HIDEOUS!!!! :oww: :wac: :upsided:

Stop fooling yourselves and trying to fool others. There is no "liberal media".

I've got a Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Production from Florida International University. I spent four years of college studying the broadcast media and how it works.

If you don't think that there is a liberal slant to the media then you have been living under a rock in Afghanistan somewhere.

Read the article I started this thread with, and if that isn't good enough for starters then try the following links on for size...

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/dennisp...p20040518.shtml

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/joelmow...m20040518.shtml

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/thomass...s20040519.shtml

Yeah, they are all from Townhall, but the research is undisputed, and the facts don't lie.

I could give you a thousand other sources, quotes, commentary, etc. I could also go to the Media Research Center and cite source after source of liberal left wing bias in the media.

FACT - 85% of all media personel are registered democrats.

Next time you are going to post a rebuttal to a factual article maybe you ought to come with a little more then just your opinion in the wind. Back it up with some facts. But to me this isn't even an argument worth discussing, because it's not even debatable how liberal the media is.

However, if you choose to think it's not true then I'm sure that rock in Afghanistan is comforting.

Fact: 85% of all statistics say exactly what you want them to.

If you're going to post something that is to be taken as fact, please post the source. As a scientist I can tell you that the field of statistics is heavily abused, especially in politics.

And BTW even if it is true, just because 85% are registered democrats doesn't mean they vote as such and are "Liberal" as you claim.

All of the articles you linked on Town Hall were almost wholly based on someone's opinion and not fact. Sure some of them contained facts but they were just as biased as anybody else's opinion.

NEW YORK Those convinced that liberals make up a disproportionate share of newsroom workers have long relied on Pew Research Center surveys to confirm this view, and they will not be disappointed by the results of Pew's latest study released today.

While most of the journalists, like many Americans, describe themselves as "moderate," a far higher number are "liberal" than in the general population.

If the media isn't liberal then why do surveys show that most journalists support homosexuality, abortion and other trendy causes? :t2: However it would be unfair to say that antiBush, antiAmericanism is confined solely to the Left. In the UK right wing newspapers like the "Daily Mail" are also banging on incessantly about the POW abuse and seem intent on conducting what can only be described as a hate campaign against President Bush and the US military. The Daily Mail used to be a good paper but has recently degenerated into something fit to be used only as toilet paper! :oww:

Catlover: You must be a Brit. I like you already! :t2: And the name, "catlover" wins some points, too. :t2:

There appears to be an exclusive club of us catlovers here at WBs and we're pretty much totally into our kids...I mean, kitties. :P

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
