Sort of a been there, done that reaction on my part. Yeah, maybe because he was a candidate. But he's not even a Senator anymore...just a guy that cheated on his dying wife. He has a lot of years ahead of him and he will most likely remain in the political arena.. Who do you want as your leaders? A "caught with his hand in the cookie jar and still denied it" person or one who is honest ?? It matters.. although in the last few decades it has not mattered as much as it used to and should matter... My biggest reaction is to how the left pretended the whole situation did not exist and attacked the right for talking about it.. Hummm... quelle surprise .... I wouldnt want John Edwards as President, for sure, but I just think this is sensationalism. It's not like he's going to be influential in politics after this. Infidelity is a private matter between a husband and wife. Of course, if it turns out he fathered this woman's baby, there are issues there; just not issues that concern the public. The entire media has become no better than the Enquirer. Btw, I don't see how this is a left/right issue at all.
