Hi ByHIS GRACE

Im niether. The 7th day adventist do not believe in the sign of Jonah or that the 1000yr period of rest will be spent on the earth. And i realize most denominations do not believe the sign of Jonah but then again Jesus said many would come in HIS name and decieve many.I keep the sabbath with below scripture in mind.

ISAIAH 58 [12] And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.[13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

heyyyy waldens mountain---very good  post, yet, just a few lines to think about----ROMANS.14.vs.6------ HE that regardeth the day, regardeth it to the LORD;and he that regardeth not the day,to the LORD he doth not regard it. HE

that eateth,eateth to the LORD, for he giveth GOD thanks;

and he that eateth not,to the LORD he eateth not, and giveth GOD thanks....WE should therefore praise the LORD for every day & esteem every day the LORDS day--ya reckon??

Hi Shadow

I understand what your saying.But...

LEV.19

[2] Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

[3] Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

[26] Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

Theres another passage in new testament that people use to get rid of GODS sabbath. It speaks of observeing days, times and years. But in Lev.19 it says to keep the sabbath and in the same verse the WORD says not to be an observer of times. I just started looking into this last week and i found another verse about obseving times. Im not quite sure what its about but the fact that i found this one above mentioning to keep the sabbath and not observe times tells me there not one and the same.

Hi Bible reader

Like i said i have not really studied this. Really no need to. The bible does interpret the bible if you look hard enough.

Isaiah 30 [9] That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:

[10] Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

[11] Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

[12] Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:

We all know the HOLY ONE is Jesus. In the above passage HE speaks of prophets that will not here HIS law. I take the WORD by what it says. So if i hear anyone calling themselves a prophet and yet do not keep GODS 10 commandments i will not pay any attention to them. That includes HIS sabbath. Some will then claim Jesus abolished the law and they will try include the 10 commandments in this. HE did nail the law contained within the ordinances to the cross. But thats it.

uhhhhh waldans mountain----  :P ---don't want to start a big

arguement & I won't.....just a few scriptures IN the NEW COVENANT---TESTAMENT----in order for a WILL to become

in effect the one making the WILL[testament], has to die....

which at his death,  makes the OLD[covenant-testament] of none effect, superceeded by the NEW WILL,& nothing IN the OLD covenant can be enforced, unless it is  specifically defined in the NEW WILL---- either we are under the LAW or

under grace, BUT canNOT be under both at the same time...

ROMANS.6.vss.14,thru.ROM.7.vs.6.----WE are under the LAW of CHRIST...ROM.8.vss.1 &.2.--THERE is therefore now no condemnation to them which are IN CHRIST JESUS,who walk not after the flesh, but after the SPIRIT..FOR the law of the SPIRITof life in CHRIST JESUS hath made me [FREE ] from the [LAW] of sin and death.....ROM.8.vss.3.thru.14.-----

ROM.10.vs.4.--- FOR CHRIST[iS THE END OF THE LAW] for

righteousness to every one that believeth.......GAL.3.vs.13.&

14.-CHRIST hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us;for it is written,CURSED IS EVERY ONE THAT HANGETH ON A TREE;THAT the blessings of

ABRAHAM might come on the GENTILES through JESUS CHRIST;that we might receive the promise of the  SPIRIT through faith.....well waldans, i hope these scriptures can set you FREE from the LAW...WE canNOT keep the law or any part of the law, look back at the garden--1 law--DON'T--

also "IF" you keep one point of the LAW you are obligated to keep ALL of the LAW, each & every point, jot,& tittle.........

JAMES.2.vs.10.--FOR  whosoever shall keep the whole law,

and yet offend in one point,he is guilty of all......you are quite correct that scripture will interpret scripture,if we look hard enough...i doNOT offer these scriptures to offend, humiliate or

insult you or any one else for that matter, but only to offer a better way than the LAW,which has been fulfilled, do a word study on the word [FULFILLED] you will be surprised......... HEB.5.vss.1.thru.14.--heb.7.vss.12-----FOR the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.....YOU must study the new testament, the old testament is null & void.-----shadow2b------

You wrote

Since this is about prophets,i agee we shouldnt be discussing this here but...

PROVERBS 4 [4] He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.[5] Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.[6] Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.[7] Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.[8] Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.[9] She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Keep my commandments - get wisdom - She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace

WELL folks, after being on these boards for just a litle while now,& reading & posting in several different threads--I have come to the conclusion that there are some very good & accurate teachers on here & have a sincere desire to enlighten those that are in need of sound scriptural teachings.

BUT these very kind & loving christian teachers for the most part are ignored,& are subjected to ridicule,& even humiliated when their sound teachings point out severe doctrinal error..

The other thing i have noticed is those that seemingly canNOT discern or understand simple BIBLE truths continue on in endless & fruitless diatribes that only take away from the true christians study of GOD'S WORD & prayer time,& our drawing closer to THE LORD JESUS which i have concluded IS

the actual goal of those that continue on in these speculative & useless waste of our time....SO with that being said I will at this time take my own advice & study GOD'S WORD & seek HIM in prayer continuously from this point on----

Hi Shadow

Before you go i just wanted to send ya this scripture

2TIM.3  [13] But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.[14] But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;[15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:[17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

When this was written the only scriptures which"are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" were the old testament scriptures. The old and the new actually say the same thing, although many have taken one liners out of the WORD and twisted them to mean what they want. The law contained within the ordinances were nailed to the cross. Good luck in your search for the truth.

HEBREWS 13  [8] Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Waldens Mountain,

The bereans refers to a verse in Acts (can't look it up now -no time) where Paul is on one of his missionary travels and it says, "Now the Bereans were much more noble for they searched out everything we preached and compared it to the scriptures day and night, until they were satisfied that it was the truth." - (paraphrasing from memory).  People use "Berean" to mean one who honestly and carefully searches the matter out appropriatly for himself.

As far as Prophets today.  Without any scripture, pure logic tells you: If it warns us to beware of FALSE prophets, then does that not mean there must also be REAL prophets???

Otherwise it would simply say "From now on beware of anyone who calls himself a prophet."

But it couldn't say that, for Agabus is called a prophet decades after John was beheaded, and Agabus correctly prophesied that Paul would be bound and taken captive if he entered Jerusalem again.  Just like the prophets of the OT often did, he used an inanimate object to demonstrate: he took Paul's own belt and tied himself up with it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
