Five. If you said ten, don't feel bad as most people do. "Each team" is the key here.

It also says, "men for each team..." There are a lot more "men for each team" than just the basketball players. There's the coaches, the trainers, the assistant coaches, and also the second lineup of players. All of these are situated "on the court" (Not strictly within the boundaries of the playing area).
