This is my final word on this issue because you are interjecting ideas that I have not said. I am proud to be an American. I have served her and am willing to lay my life down for her. I am not proud that America kills millions of innocent babies every year. I am not proud that our society finds joy or apathy in homosexuality. God cannot and will not abide sin. God has always punished nations who leave His presence, who disobey his laws and commandments. (We are such a country). The Holy Spirit cannot occupy a body that lives in sin. Condoning sin is a sin in itself. Make all the excuses you want, nitpick all you want, but it does not change the fact that our nation is no longer prospering because of our national sin. We are on the edge of collapse, our government is corrupt and our society is decadent by any definition. There will always be a remnant of the true Church in this country, and God will protect and prosper that remnant, but the Great Apostasy is beginning and I will not be a part of it. Anyone who fails to condemn the decadence and apostasy occurring in America is just as guilty as if they were a part of it. Welcome to the Obama-nation.

1st let me say that I am glad that event was cancelled. I do have some trouble with the whole god has left our country because we elected a democrat or because of what they stand for . Yes we should be condeming homosexuality and abortion. But we shoud also be condeming an unjust war where are young men are dieing for whatever reason. We should be condeming all sex outside of marriage, We should condemn a governmaent that as our current one did cut welfare health benefits to poor children. Our government as led by both parties for many years has had close relations with saudi arabia a country whos top cleric recently stated that it is acceptable for a 47 year old man to marry an 8 year old girl. I guess I wonder what would happen if we stopped worrying whether abortion and gay marriage are legal and start doing something about them. Jesus didn't come to make laws he came to changes lives and hearts. The fact that obama supports abortion or gays doesn't stop me from showing people gods love and a better way to live.

AAAAHHHH, more Obama and America bashing, how christian like.

Obama is president because God has placed him there. All things are in God's hands. He raises up leaders and takes them down.

Where are our Moses' of today? When God was displeased with the nation of Isreal, Moses stood in the gap and began to plead to God for his nation.

Are we pleadingGod for or ntion, or our we too busy whining?

We need to be holding up our president and nation to God. That God will give him wisdom and lead the way He wants him too.

My problem is this.

I can barely hold on to my own daily struggle with sin as we press onward for the prize as Paul tells us to do. So what am I to do about national politics and some homosexuals half way across the country who want to have some sort of orgy? I can pray and I do, I can comment and I do, but for me I must first impact my own walk and my own family and community the best I can as a Christian. I am not apathetic toward the sin which surrounds us, but God also calls us as believers to peace, a peace which passes all understanding.

I will not become bitter or angry against this country it has given me much freedom and so far I have liberty and freedom of religion and speech. I will not lose the wonderful peace which Christ has given us to get all agitated over the parade of sin which was prophesized to come anyway. We can never expect too much from men or governments or leaders, they will always disappoint us our true citizenship is in heaven, here we are all pilgrims passing through.

how and why would you consider this a judgment from god ???? because we elected a democrat?????

Because God has left the building. And it has nothing to do with the "democrats" but with the individuals and their ideals.

What "building" has God left?

The building is America. God no longer favors us because of the decedent path we as a nation have chosen. As it was when Israel wanted a king, so it is with America. You want Christ out from the public eye, you want humanism? Well you got it.

By the way, "God has left the building" was a pun on "Elvis has left the building." Must be before you time, huh?

While Elvis was before my time I understood the pun. However, God never favored America. God favors His people in America. The reason why America is who she is is because of the faithful ones who dwell here. Just as Abraham prayed for Sodom and Gommorrah...if there be 10 righteous. The fact is that God has stock here because His Life is here. Or have you forgotten that those of us who are His have His life. Also, when has Christ ever been in the "public eye"? In order for God to leave Amercia then the Church has to go also.

Very Good point ruck. Mr parker has a job or has money in his pocket, has a roof over his head, eats good food every day until his belly is full three times a day, a car to drive, a TV to watch, has electricity, good water to drink, natural gas to warm himself with, air conditioning to cool himself with, has cable or satilite TV a web site where he can speak his mind freely, he lives in a country where there is no debtters prison, can get free food and medical treatment if he can not afford it, a free roof over his head if he needs it, can go to the church of his choice with out the government stopping him, he has freedom of speech, lives in the most powerful country in the world that gives us enormous freedoms, can vote for who he wants to, has access to any kind of education he wants and can get the funds to go to almost any school, collage, or university he wants to, can preach the word of God to anybody he wants to, he has his health and still he says that God has forsaken his nation.

LOL

This has NOTHING to do with the lives that we have here in America. I am not damning America so quit insinuating that I am. We do have all these thing you mentioned. We spend more money on fast food than most people in the world make in a year. The issue is: Is or will God punish America for the decadence, idol worship and apostasy that is occurring here. All indications from scripture is that he will. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God does not punish His people, you and me specifically (He corrects us), but He does punish societies who turn away from Him. He leaves them to there own devices and suffer the consequences of their choices. And the country of America as a nation has turned it's back on God. Stop trying to turn this into a personal statement about Christians, because I am talking about the Nation. If you can't see what is happening to our nation, then perhaps some people need to look at the history of nations like ours (Rome for one) and judge whether we are in a similar situation.

The natural consequence of sin is death, so in that regard I would agree somewhat with Parker.

You see it is not necessarily God "zapping" us like Sodom, but that the consequence of rampant sinful behavior will make itself known in our culture at large and in our country. Party cultures don't compete well against cultures where people work hard, study hard, and are committed to their families and children. You cannot have a culture where only a minority of children are being raised in intact, married homes with their two biological parents and think there will be no consequences. This is the first generation of young adults who will be less healthy and less well educated than the generation before them, what does that spell for our future?

Family breakdown will sow the seeds of our slow decay and slide into a second rate nation, it is simply a natural consequence of the decisions we have made as a society.

I believe it was Harvard Sociologist Carle Zimmer in his book Family and Civilization (1947) that pointed to eight signs of a cultures imminent demise:

1. Marriage loses its sacredness and is frequently broken by divorce.

2. The traditional meaning of the marriage ceremony is lost while alternate forms of marriage arise and individual marriage contracts replace traditional agreements

3. Feminist movements abound and grow. Women lose their inclination for child-bearing and rearing.

4. There is a growing disrespect of authority (especially parental authority)

5. An increase in juvenile delinquency, sexual promiscuity and rebellion

6. People in traditional marriages refuse to accept family responsibilities

7. An increasing desire for and acceptance of adultery

8. A greater tolerance for sexual deviation and sex-crimes

However I still love this country.

What I see is two societies within our one country. As long as we have our freedoms and liberty we can choose to live in the culture and type of society and family that we create for ourselves. Obviously this becomes more difficult as our culture decay's, however it is not impossible. This country is just too large and too diverse to paint with one brush.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
