Only calling on the name of the Lord can do that 2 Cor. 5. The personal mannerism of individuals and their walk before the Lord be it outward or inward does not "fall" or come "under" religion. It is and has became their religion. It is their personal spirituality and FAITH lived out before God and man through their lifestyle and mannerism inward and outward they live out before man and in the eyes of their God. I didn't know Obama was a Saint, please tell of his good Christian fruits he has accomplished since he has been in office? Tell us how many unborn babies he has saved. Tell about how he is bringing the country's racial divide together instead of separating them by his own actions or lack of his actions. Tell me about his healthcare plan where we can choose our own doctor and how it brought our insurance premiums down. Tell us of his dislike for the sin of homosexuality. Tell us how he is making our country safer by not closing the borders or by his weakening of the military. Tell us how he cares so much for Christian that have been in prison in countries like Iran and how much he has tried to get them out. Tell us how he tried to save those four Americans that were killed in Benghazi and how he gave the enemy the weapons to do it. Tells us about the guns he gave to the drug cartel in Mexico, the same guns that were used to kill US Border Agents. Paranoid maybe, and I do agree God is in control in a way that is of his choosing, his timing and we shouldn't question it, for he is God. I agree Vietnam is also such a case of politicians getting involved in something they know nothing about, they tired the hands of the military (can't go to Cambodia), but how far back in history should we go. I understand why Other one would wonder about what does this thread have to do with God. My only answer would be since the fall of man there has been a battle between good and evil. I believe that battle will be coming to a head real soon and topics like this thread are what is setting the world stage for this battle. Would you make a deal with the devil even though you don't trust him? Failed military??? If there is a failure in any war we were involved in it would be because politicians thought they knew more about war than the warriors. Desert Storm was cut too short in my opinion, but the goal of the war was met, so I guess we couldn't call it a failure. Enduring Freedom seems to be an success. Iraqi Freedom was a good cause but the problem was President Bush seemed not to have a end of war plan ( a goal). Obama didn't have a war ending plan for Iraq either, as we see now with isis, just pulling troops out was a bad idea, a dumb idea. If our country has no other alternative and war is the last resort, the president must state to the trained military commanders what our county's goals are for the outcome of the war and use whatever conventional means necessary to meet them goals. After the goals are set the politicians must stay out of it and let the military do their job until the war is over, then the politicians can do their jobs. Oldzimm

My thoughts on this issue is simple, a muslim is a muslim and you can't trust them with their religious beliefs, not even the ones with a moderate belief. I fought against muslims and know them very well, even the ones I had good working relationships with I never fully trusted, I was always ready to defend against a knife in the back, you could say I slept with one eye open. Now you may be thinking Oldzimm you are paranoid and you are right in a way, though I wouldn't call it being paranoid, I call it being cautious. I think all these reply's are great and I thank you all. I really love how it seems when reading verses in the Bible they all have a meaning, a message. Some messages in the verses just stick right out, while others you may have to read umpteen times until it hits you and you say "I got it" (what a frill that is). Patriot I wasn't referring to what you said, rather on what the author that wrote the piece you posted said, if you took it that way I apologize and I agree with you. My advice to anyone who debates someone who is gay, stick to the word and don't stray from it. Most times a gay will say "putting the Bible aside, the supreme court says.....................", don't let them pull you away from the word, just say God's laws are the supreme law. Nobody can debate God's laws if you stick with the word, the best thing that can happen is they might start seeing the light, if not they will start throwing insults at you because they can't back up their point, then the debate is over. I believe number 8 (eye contact) might be the most important. Number 1 (the handshake) I heard many times is important but I'm afraid of breaking someones hand (specially elderly people), I mean do we squeeze their hand until they say uncle?
