  1. Simply beautiful Isaiah. Thanks so much for putting this up. Very touching - Very inspiring. =)
  2. This is the live acoustic version of Peter Furler's song "Reach". It is absolutely beautiful. This song has helped me through so many "stormy seas". I could not help but share it. =)
  3. I totally forgot about his other prediction - I think most people did. But really, this seems like propaganda in its highest form..
  4. I thought about starting a new topic for the band '4Him.' Here is one of their more popular songs: The Message
  5. Not trying to add onto what has already been said, but this Scripture comes to mind: John 14:12 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
  6. John 15: 4-8 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
  7. You refer to others treating church as more important than prayer, fellowship, and/or devotions? Yes, i agree - And althought these do not make one a Christian, we must not forget - these are all fruits. And if we see that these fruits are not evident in someone's life, we must pray for that individual, not go around tearing them down.
  8. I suppose it is your motive behind the question as well as who you are asking.
  9. Ok - I see where you are going. Repentance is a heart issue. I have been there at times in life in which i would repent and automatically go back to the same sin the next day. But everytime time i go back and ask for forgiveness - and mean it - He forgives me. I do believe that there are certain sins that we can lay down and never pick up again. For instance, some may have been saved from terrible sins such as stealing ect. , and now that they are saved - they have never stolen any more. But all in all we do not inherit salvation, as you have stated, based on our good works - but His work. We do not inherit Heaven by our goodness, but through His perfection. When Jesus died on the cross He covered our sins - past, present, and future. But in closing to my reply - Repentance comes natural from a heart that has been quickened by the regenerative power of the Holy Spirit.
  10. I'm not sure what you mean by "fully repents." And - I do not believe Jesus repented of anything.
  11. Ok Gods_girl, i understand. Verbal "faith" is insufficient. We must not only SAY it, but we must also mean it - mean it to the point in where we repent (turn from serving sin; pursuing our lusts) and allow Him to claim us as children.
  12. God sends no one to Hell. We, in all actuality, send ourselves to Hell. Ref. to 2 Thess. 2:1-12
  13. Awesome! Actually, it was only until now that i have actually read this. All i can say is amen. True wisdom here. Thanks FresnoJoe!
  14. I read about that on Yahoo today. That is really interesting. Hmm.. i do believe this will slow down warnings concerning global warming too, other one. lol (well at least for a little while.)
  15. I don't ever have time for FB. I'm too busy on here!
  16. My response to 'The Message' translation, if the Devil cannot stop people from reading God's Word, he'll corrupt God's Word!
  17. I wondered the same thing... did animals talk before the fall? I also pondered on things such as 'are there animals in heaven RIGHT NOW? / did God create animals for heaven?' and if so do they talk? will animals talk again after peace is temporarily restored? wild speculation i know... ...But i guess we really don't know.
  18. Faith is not blind faith, it is believing with an intrusted commitment. It might have been because of one's faith that heaven / vision was revealed to them. I had a vision once, but it was the night that i gave up television. I was convicted of it and I let it go. 3:00 AM the next morning I had the 'in of body / out of body experience' which Paul referred to in 2 Cor. "But I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I know not; or out of the body, I know not, God knoweth) snatched up in this manner to the third heaven: and I know such a man, whether in the body or out of the body I know not, God knoweth; how that he was snatched up into Paradise and heard secret words which it is not lawful for men to speak; on behalf of such a one will I glory; but on mine own behalf I will not glory, save in my infirmities."-2 Corinthians 12:1-5 I had the same experienced on behalf of my faith. I would say such things would bring us more hope and increase our faith. It did for me. Hebrews 11:1 says - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. My two cents to a response would be this - Once faith is completed then comes evidence!
  19. besides the 'oxymoron' (that of hotmail being frozen, this is exactly why i do not use hotmail.
  20. Oh Amen! I am praying for the lost souls in Japan as well as the rest of world! I hope that Jesus comes back soon, I am tired of living down here; I am also praying to live longer so that I may win many to the Lord. You see, I, like Paul, am in a 'twixt between two' - (Philippians 1:22-26) "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 25And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; 26That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again." I do not count my life on earth as anything dear to me; For if I die, I have nothing to lose and all to gain, but if a sinner dies, he has all to lose and nothing to gain. Jesus is coming soon folks! We cannot be spiritual couch-potatoes! The harvest is plenty but the labourers are few. I have made up my mind about wasting time, the trumpet's about to blow! Come quickly Lord Jesus!
  21. ~ The Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven ~ Hi all! I have recently been studying Matthew 13:10-11 & Several of the Pauline Epistles -- Matt. 13:10-11 -- 10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. So first... What is the 'Kingdom of Heaven'? Well, some have said it is Jesus Christ Himself; This is true in a sense, but more specifically, it is a literal kingdom, the kingdom that is to be set up here on earth during the Millennial Reign. Matthew 3:2 -- And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Remember the Lord's Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13 ? Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. In Daniel 2:44, we can see the Kingdom of Heaven defined --> "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." ~ The Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven ~ Now, let's move on to the mysteries... (I have only found four so far, questionably three.) Mystery # 1 - The Mystery of Christ Ephesians 3:3-5 - "How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;" Romans 16:25-26 - 25 - "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:" This can also be linked to Colossians 1:24-29 which is, according to C.I. Scofield... Mystery # 2 - "The Mystery of the Indwelling of Christ" 24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: 25Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. (You can choose whether these two mysteries are one in the same or not. ) Mystery # 3 - The Mystery of the Church Romans 11:11-25 (King James Version) 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And finally, last but certainly not least... Mystery # 4 - The Mystery of The Rapture 1 Cor. 15:51-53 - 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (King James Version) 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. I appreciate all the study aids out there such as Scofield's Notes, Biblecc.com, and God Himself. I know this is probably nothing new, but I felt led by God in a sense to post this. Thx All! God Bless! --S2S 3/25 [uPDATE] - Mystery # 5 - The Mystery of the Gospel Ephesians 6:19 - 20 -- "19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel," 21 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Mystery # 6 - The Mystery of His Will - Ephesians 1:9-10 Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 4/3 [uPDATE] - Mystery #7 - The Mystery of iniquity (lawlessness) - 2 Thessalonians 2:7 "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way." This is cross refrenced with 2 Th. 2:6 - "And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time." * If you read 2 Th. you will find out that Paul is referring to the anti-christ. 4/4 [uPDATE] - Mystery # 8 - The Mystery of faith - 1 Tim. 3:9 "Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience." *This is prerequisite for the position of deacon in a church. The Mystery of Godliness - 1 Tim. 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." * The mystery of godliness seems to be that great work of Christ and how it was accomplished.
  22. Your cross is much greater than mine, I will not begin to think I can tell you how to carry it. But if I may, I would humbly ask if I might share in your pain. For my empathy demands it. And my empathy is that of what I witness to, the cross of Christ. So why did he forgive those who were so viscious to him, with such wanton brutal malice? For he said forgive them they know not what they do. They know not what they do? Can't they see what they do? Don't they feel? They are beasts. They destroy the trust and Love that everybody born should be able to count on. They take away everything that matters and leave a mans heart hating he ever even knew love. They don't know what they do? Is it possible? And what if you find out that what was done to you was first done to them? What if you find out that they despised your childhood because they had lost theirs? What if they were infected by the same disease passed down through generations? Will watching them suffer satisfy your anger, or will you relish the thought? For God will punish sin, and without your intercession they will suffer everything you suffered at their hands, and probably worse. Please understand that the enemy of God is the enemy of Love and wants to kill love and wants to make people hate love. You scorparium is where this battle is being fought. Satan certainly doesn't want you to forgive. That's his MO. He wants to see everybody suffering with him. Satan will say they know exactly what they're doing and they meant to do it. So decide whom you will believe, for the only way you can forgive from the heart is to believe they didn't know what they were doing. But somehow I think you know this deep down. That's what Christianity is, a faith in eternal love. You have the rare oppurtunity to actually walk the walk. The people who did this to you did not believe. But enough, I've said what I had to say. I don't know you. You don't know me. But I will speak for myself concerning why I had to believe Jesus. I had to forgive to become like him, or I became like those people I hated. My sincere prayers are for you. Amen! Wonderful post childeye. What more can I add? I believe the other main plan of the devil is to hurt God. Hurt God you say? How?! By taking one of His lost sheep (the sinner) to Hell. I would like to say Scorp, that God knows how you feel. Goodness! He was killed for our sake! Why did He actually die though? To forgive! Despite all internal/external circumstances, Jesus remained faithful. We need to forgive them, because if we don't, God cannot forgive us. It is in His Word. I Love you Scorp even though I don't know you @ all. May God have His perfect work in & through you. God Bless!
