That's all fine and dandy but the Bible says nothing about multiple first resurrections, it only says there is 1 and it happens at the second coming.

Another opinion above that is spoken in a way that screams, thus saith the Lord, but... The truth is we are not told in the Bible what hinders. See I think it is Michael the arch angel, at least there is scripture that says he is the protector of Gods people. Their is no scripture that says the church hinders anything.

MG if you believe the pre-trib doctrine you believe a doctrine with many opinions added to it as though the Bible really says them. MG if you have ever repeated the pre-trib doctrine to anyone you have added to the word of God.

One thing is for sure, the pre-trib crowd don't mind adding(their opinion) to the word of God and saying thus saith the Lord.

Marv nothing in the verse you mention says anything about being in the Fathers house pre-trib, that is another speculation the pre-trib crowd has added to the word of God that misleads the public

How do you get the second coming after the 1000 year reign?

The rapture happens at the same time as the first resurrection, at the start of the 1000 year reign. The second resurrection happens after the 1000 year reign. There is no other resurrection of a mass group of bodies to meet the Lord in the air written about in the Bible, so there can't be a pre-trib rapture without adding another resurrection to the word of God. Hazard or Ester can either of you show us the pre-trib resurrection in the Bible? Verse and chapter please.....

The first resurrection happens at the second coming, prior to the 1000 year reign. The second resurrection happens after the 1000 year reign, where in the Bible is it written about a resurrection for the church pre-trib. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout and the trump of God, and the dead in Christ rise first then we who are alive will be called up to meet the Lord in the air. This is the rapture everybody talks about, the only resurrection that this speaks of has to be the one just prior to the 1000 year reign, which happens at the second coming.

The pre-trib doctrine teaches not only a third coming but a third resurrection, the Bible only teaches a second coming and two resurrections. You be the judge which to believe.

Rev:20 plainly tells us when the first resurrection happens. It happens at the second coming, not pre-trib

The book of Enoch has quite a bit of truth in it, which can be backed up by the Bible.

Those books are part of what made the pre-trib rapture doctrine so popular. I have searched the Bible through and cannot find a pre-trib rapture in it. Oh I know all the verses that the pre-trib crowd claims support their doctrine, but if they would take the emotions that books and movies like the left behind series, out of the equation, they could see the truth in the scriptures.

It's amazing to me that some people have a problem with the book of Enoch because it isn't included in the cannon, but don't have a problem at all with the left behind series and what those books teach.... WOW

True Last Daze, I'm not going to argue either way, the scripture you quoted is what I had in mind. They're isn't enough scripture about the subject to be 100% sure either way. That's why I put them as first fruits and leave it at that.

Christ and the old testament saints have already been raised (the first fruits) next will be at the second coming / rapture (the first resurrection) then after the 1000 year reign the just and unjust (the second resurrection). So simple a child could understand (Rev 20)

You got it right Ezra, until you brought them back to heaven. Rev. 20 has the Lord coming, the dead in Christ rising to meet Him in the air on their way to Jerusalem

The Bible contains all the info we have about Jesus, I know of a couple other writings out there, but if you read and compare them to the Bible you will see there isn't any truth in them. It's all about faith....

Why don't the pre-trib crowd state their true beliefs about this which are.... the rapture is the second coming,so the second coming written about in the Bible is the third coming.

We don't yet know what kind of bodies we will have, but we know we shall have a body like the Lord.

I have been in this battle a long time, sometimes I get tired, so tired I just want to sit back and rest a little. Am I lukewarm for stepping back from the front lines?
