    I have a question.

I don't think you've quite understood me "His" What i'm trying to say is do not put yourself in a position in which you believe you have the right to judge. sorry don't mean to hurt

    I have a question.

I did read the replys to your question but thought it best to answer from the start..........hope I put this across right. You are thinking what you would do in your situation, you and I are not God so it is unfair for us to speculate, because we do not understand God's reasoning..........I know that God is love, God is understanding and God is vengenance and I know God would not create someone simply to destroy them. I'll tell you what a true father does, He stands by His children and tells them the truth, even if they do not want to hear it God did not create you in order to destroy you.......the best way I can explain it to you is, God created you so that you could understand His love. But the most important thing you must remember is God created nations and He looks after each and every one of them. Does that make sense? Anne God keep you in His arms
  5. I find myself having to agree with you, granted Adam and his direct descendants were not super human, however I do believe that they were of higher intelligence, in the sense that they directly knew more about God than what we do. This is a huge topic, and is subject to speculation.
  6. I don't think he'll be successful in his claim folks, he has to prove that it is a misinterpretation among other things, and that could be a bit difficult. However, without a doubt, this case will drag on and on and will cost a lot of money. It's a crazy thing, when it gets to this stage
  7. I'm starting to get the feeling they don't like us very much.
  8. I know someone out there has something sensible to say on the subject
  9. Don't make me hurt you lot! I don't know, ask a serious question and this is what you get.
  10. somehow I hadn't pictured it looking like that!
  11. sorry bumping, hoping the weekend crew might have some ideas
  12. Shiloh, would you mind if I copied your posts regarding this subject into my computer file?
  13. not denying that amor, however I wouldn't want my children taught to observe muslim worship beliefs.
  14. This is an absolute joke!!! I am not against the muslim community, I disagree with their religion, but that's it, I DO NOT hate the people. What does make me angry is this kind of dictatorship!! How dare they demand that these children bend their knee to a god they do not worship. I'm very proud to see that some children had the sense to resist this teachers demands. It makes you think, though, why do this, why bring this into schools? More and more I notice there is soon going to be alot of home schooling happening over here.
  15. They're not planning on two separate laws, it's my understanding that they wish to unite it into one law. I can't recollect the exact details, however, certain members, not all, feel that there are aspect of law in other religions that would be advantageous in the governing of Britian. Take from that what you will. Tony Blair, our ex prime minister, has recently and publicily stated that it is his intentions to unite the religions of our society. (Those are not his exact words, merely my interpretation of them.)
  16. here's a hug for you leah, God Bless.
  17. Thank you guys, I found this old map on the internet, take a look and let me know what you think. I'm trying to get access to older maps, so if you know of any others post a link. Anne http://www.bl.uk/learning/images/mappinghist/large2303.html
  18. Yes, I think it generally translates as the "land of wandering." But I don't reckon Eden was contained within the borders of the Tigris and Euphrates though, however i'll look at that. Thanks
  19. Genesis Chapter 4 verse 16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. Does anyone have any thoughts on the location of Nod, or know of any references in the Bible, otherwise than the above, that refers to a possible location of Nod. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Anne
  20. I will look into your original question scene and get back to you.
  21. I also have read the book of Enoch, as part of my study in Genesis, I am not the most learned Bible student here, however I would issue caution when considering whether this book is to be relied upon as evidence. In short the book of Enoch sounds different, it seems somehow off tune to me. I would sincerely discourage you, unless you felt led to by God to investigate this issue. However should you decide to continue with your couriousity into the book of Enoch, I ask you to remember that there were two Enoch's. Enoch the descendant of cain, whom the first city/town was named after and Enoch the descendant of Seth. The question I guess I have is, considering the times within, which Enoch wrote the book?
  22. okay folks, in view of what you have all answered in response to the original question, I have a question, what is Strong drink? As in "Woe onto him that gives his neighbour to drink strong drink" Interesting question OP
