Reminds me of the story back from the '70s when "Revelation Food" was a popular Christian scam among the Charismatics. They sold dehydrated food packages, so that when you couldn't buy or sell, at least you could eat. They offered two packages - a 3-1/2 year supply for the Mid-Trib folks, and a 7 year supply for the post-tribbers (Pre-tribbers didn't need any, of course). They suggested, however, that EVERYBODY should buy the 7-year package - in case their "eschatology" turned out to be inaccurate (chuckle). They DIDN'T, however, include guns, and ammunition with which to drive away your starving neighbors, and protect your stash. The Assemblies of God Denomination has always been, and still is Pre-trib oriented, and so since I've been AG for half the time there has Been an AG (organized in 1914), I 'll go with the pre-trib version of reality. But since I'm 78 and not in great health, I suspect that I'll watch the party from the other side of the grass, unless HE brings it on pretty soon. My Gut Feel, though is that Raptured Christians WILL NOT "Disappear", but will simply visibly die physically instead (and be changed in the twinkling of an eye into their SPIRITUAL Bodies to go HOME with Him). SO what the lost world will have to explain for itself, is the vast collection of sudden unexplainable deaths occurring simultaneously all over the world (with higher concentrations in geographic areas having greater proportions of Christians).

"Possessed" (implying ownership) is inaccurate. the Biblical word is Daemonizimai - to be oppressed by, or influenced by a demonic entity. Thus, the claim that a Christian can't be "Demon Possesed" goes out the window. A Christian can "Give place" to the enemy, and become progressively more and more influenced by the demonic, until a "Deliverance" ministry may be needed to get them free of it. A Person operating in the gift of "Discernation of Spirits" (1 cor 12) would be aware of a demonic presence, OR the actions / speech of the person in question would be a clue. The Spiritual realm is populated by all sorts of beings, both angelic, and demonic. So the answer is that they don't "go" anywhere, but it/they do cease to torment the one they've been torturing. The demonic will continue to exist until the final judgement when they join satan, and lost humanity in the lake of fire. Thanks

Seen it all before (I HAVE been in this for almost 60 years, after all) Charts and all. What you've presented is nothing more than the standard arguments for POST-Trib. There are corresponding arguments for PRE-Trib, MID-Trib, and A-Trib. ALl GOd's CHilluns gots "Eschatologies".

Since "Eschatology" is just another term for "Rank Speculation" I stopped having any concern or interest in it years ago. Bottom line - There's a church - mature, and united spoken of in Ephesians 4:3 - Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Since THAT "Visible Church" isn't even on the radar yet, and obviously won't exist in my lifetime, I'll simply watch it happen on the OTHER side of the sky. The only REAL answer is: It'll happen when He's ready.

"Living in SIN" is one thing, and "Sinning" as a Born Again Christian is quite another. If you're Born Again, why do YOU still SIN (just like everybody else now and again)????

The apostles were INFILLED with the Holy Spirit (The Holy SPirit IN) it evening of the Resurrection as recorded in John 20:22. and ENDUED with power from on high (The HOly SPirit ON) at Acts 2:4.

Since it's GOD who elevates, and places in power, and GOD who abases according to his will, the Elections in the U.S. are nothing more than the tools God uses at HIS pleasure to place whom HE pleases in office. The U.S. has been on a "Spiritual death spiral" for DECADES. We are NOT a "Christian Country", and never were (couldn't be Constitutionally) - even though there were "Biblical Principles" considered by the founding fathers. The visible church hasn't responded to 2 Chr 7:14 in anything more than a superficial manner, and our American Government system has constantly turned AWAY from Biblical values and makes laws contrary to righteousness. We are moving on toward the end of the age, and the Bible promises that things will politically on a world-wide basis continue to get worse, but then there's the "Mature visible church" of Ephesians 4 that's really not even on the radar - yet. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if the U.S. elects the "leadership" we DESERVE under God's judgement, instead of leadership in God's mercy.

There's always Agabus - Paul, however, cautions that Prophesy (or interpretation of tongues) in the course of a meeting SHOULD BE CONFIRMED before it's taken seriously. When I hear a "Prophetic word", I file it in "PENDING", and wait for confirmation. Over the last 50 years of "Full Gospel Christianity", the VAST MAJORITY of prophesies, simply die in "pending". But now and again there'll be a REAL one. Anybody that commits resources on the basis of an unconfirmed "prophesy" is a fool.

Back in the day, my Father would become angry, when in the "comment" section of the newspaper, someone would write their opinion, but NOT attach their name. He said that if somebody doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to identify themselves, why should we even BOTHER with what they think?? SO I use my real name in posting, and let the chips fall where they may. however in over 20 YEARS in posting, there never have been any "chips", so no problem.

And the OTHER issue is that Job was acting in a SUPERSTITIOUS MANNER by attempting to offer for people who weren't interested enough to offer for themselves. There's NO BIBLICAL COMMAND to do any such thing, and NO INDICATION the Job's offering accomplished ANYTHING.

NEITHER - I'm a "Calvinist leaning Eclectic". What's BIBLICALLY OBVIOUS is that the FATHER must DRAW A PERSON to the Son, OR THEY'RE NOT COMING. The Holy SPirit gives CONVICTION OF SIN, without which Repentance is IMPOSSIBLE, and only under the conviction of SIN is Salvation possible - OR you can "cut and run" back into death. When the Conviction passes (as it will) then "getting saved" is OFF the table - until the next time HE convicts of sin - IF He does - It's NOT guaranteed. Arminianism, Calvinism, and all the other "Isms" are totally UNIMPORTANT in terms of PRACTICAL Christianity which is NOT by "Theology" but by RELATIONSHIP with God which YOU initiate by taking HIS YOKE upon you and LEARNING OF HIM by getting in the Word, made understandable through the Holy Spirit. Simple as that.

To be CLEAR - the apostles had the Holy Spirit ON them by specific impartation by Jesus. NOBODY had the Holy SpPirit INDWELLING them as it would be when it was possible for them to be "BORN AGAIN" after the Ressurection. Jesus ministered the SPirit to them the evening of the ressurection - recorded in John 20:22.

But, of course, Peter wasn't a "Christian" when all these cited things occurred - just a "Religious Jew". The New Testament doesn't even start until Mat 28. NOBODY was "Born Again" of the Spirit - yet. Peter had a "Reality Issue" to deal with - He said: (John 13:37) Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will laydown my life for thy sake. Of course it was all <<<removed profane reference>>> and JESUS knew it, but Peter didn't - until the Lord SHOWED HIM just how "Dedicated" he REALLY was. And When in John 21 (Lovest thou me??) Peter was now able to admit that he REALLY DIDN"T have "Agape" love for Jesus - only "Phileo" (he really liked Him), which Peter had proven to himself in Mat 26.
