I agree it's an easier read for most folks and a good translation- especially for beginners,people get very caught up in which " translation " to choose but realistically one should Know the Word of God is Revealed by Holy Spirit- God Reveals Himself to those earnestly Seeking HIM - I Believe in any translation!❤️And He Will Guide the Believer where he needs to go,even in purchasing Bibles With love in Christ,Kwik I do suggest beginners avoid Amplified versions until well versed

Hi @borndagain Not sure I understand what you mean by " brand" of Bibles - publisher? Are you asking about high quality publishers or considering " versions" in regards to accuracy ? Zondervan is probably the biggest publisher and makes good quality Bibles but there's also Crossway,Cambridge ,Nelson,Oxford and so many others .... Trinitarian Bible Society is very popular as well You said you & your wife want some " bling" too- what kind of bling? Jewelry or sequined Bibles? My suggestion to you is to download a Bible app such as BibleGateway.com on your phone and start reading the Word of God in perhaps something easy to read like the NKJV and you can opt to " parallel" read that along with a KJV for starters- then while your are following a sermon( if in fact you do) then you can opt to read along in any Version So before purchasing " a Bible" you can see what you prefer first Knowing about donations & tithes are fine but these are not obligatory mandates- God So Loves a cheerful giver & burnt offerings and sacrifice does not please Him.... doing so because you Love Him and its your hearts desire to Bless orhers as youve been Blessed is Pleasing & Acceptable in Gods Sight- understand the principle of first fruits and what that means as for tithing Hope that is helpful advice for you and your wife- seek God with all your heart,mind & soul- He Will Direct your path With love in Christ,Kwik

Not " harpoon" friends Besides,it's Koine Greek and the actual " word " used was not even " harpazo" but take from the verb Looking up single " words" in a Strongs dictionary or something similar is almost the same as taking single verses of Scripture out of context..... of course dictionaries ,lexicons etc are very helpful for those actually " studying" these Ancient Language Still,you don't have to be a scholar to Receive Knowledge or Understanding of the Word of God- it is Revealed to those Seeking HIM Greek word meaning "to seize, carry off by force, seize on, claim for oneself eagerly, or snatch out or away," often associated with the biblical concept of the "rapture" or being "caught up".

I'm going to have to read through all your posts( maybe others comments,maybe not) because I'm interested to talk with you just hearing what you are saying so far..... yes,where is this LoF- seems to be a pre-existing place Although the Word of God Does not speak of its creation or location except that it is a place of eternal torment & separation from God,I've often considered that it is not yet Created ,perhaps when earth is burned up before the New Heaven & new earth are Made so it will be? You're comments are loaded with thought provoking and very interesting points.... I'm not one with notions that are set in stone on things that are not specifically found in Scripture- or after years of cross referencing to put together my own " theme" to support any theory..I file these subjects under a " need to know" section in my mind(lol),if I need to Know then God Will Show me His Mysteries Revealed by Holy Spirit I'm so not interested in copy/pasted verses out of context but always interested in conversation- I mean we all have Bibles,right? And yes- the word" spirit" means one thing to one person and to another they believe it's interchangeable with the soul of a man.... we needn't study Greek or Hebrew to Understand the difference..... it's always clear when studying " in context" .... years of studying the Ancient languages with my carnal mind is of course" helpful/beneficial" but pales to Receiving God's Word that is Written on our hearts and Seen with the Eyes of Understanding in Eternal Mindedness- in other words,with the Heart & Mind of Jesus..... that's why I'm so drawn to people that speak from their heart and ask good questions,seeking God in Christ Anyway,I've got some reading to do,looking forward to a conversation about " Resurrection" & the Guaranteed Seal of Redemption..... the Promise of Eternal Life.The 2 verses of Scripture that drilled into my head from childhood(2Cor 5:8 and Luke 23:53)2 verses of different context to support the preconceived notion of " Christians die and go to Heaven".... hmmm,interesting concept So what does Jesus mean by " today" in Luke .... Well,there seems to be much controversy amongst Biblical scholars regarding this "Angel" ,doesn't there? Lol Some claim later scribes added the angel to give reason or support the " stirring".... others say it's questionable what was authentic & original in those earliest versions and many other arguments Well,the Counselor Knows Exactly what took place,doesn't He?... My advice to you dear Brother is to ask our Lord to Reveal His Truth..as for me,it is a trivial thing if anyone saw an Angel of God stirring ( troubling) the waters- somebody stirred them and Whomever it was did this just as He Calmed the Storm & seas - with just a WORD.... When I was Set free of the bondages of witchcraft ---Halleluyah,Praise Jesus!I was too frightened to sleep,that is when the most severe,intense demonic attacks would take place.... Well it's all part of desensitizing How about the series " lucifer" or" charmed" & so many similar ones---- if I did not have Eyes of Understanding I'd probably enjoy the whole premise of demons that really do have a good heart or witches using their powers to help others....people like to see the " good" in people and are blinded to the fact that demons are not " people" and are entities of pure evil The air waves are a powerful tool to lull carnal minds into temptations of obtaining power,wealth,influence,fame - it's not harmless entertainment,it's manipulation and engineering

That Free Pass Can Only be Obtained in Christ Jesus- by Faith❤️

Hi,Blessings ,Greetings Perhaps if you didn't address a Forum of Believers ( by saying " you") you might get a better reception regarding what it is your trying to say.....? Consider this" You might not think possible" or " your world will fall apart" and " your loyalty will come into question" as an example The things you speak of will not surprise any of " us" but much of the unbelieving world will witness things they'd never imagine we're possible, Many people will be besides themselves as the only world they know of falls apart,these are the ones without HOPE in Christ- Loyalty? How quickly they will submit to the rulers of darkness as they are OF this world though they professed " I am Christian " throughout their earthly lives following traditions of man and religious customs....it's not about " loyalty"- it is about Faith,Love and being Alive in Christ Jesus..... So,I think I understand some of what you are saying but what is your point- what exactly is it that you'd like to discuss?You keep talking about God being " happy" or " unhappy" which isn't exactly the word I'd choose to describe Almighty God regarding what is Pleasing & Acceptable in His Sight but that's alright- No,we Know burnt sacrifice and offerings are not what Pleases God- He is not Interested in rituals,customs or organized religious practice but He Examines the Heart of INDIVIDUALS..... Blessings Jadey I can't believe 6 years have passed since you posted this - Praise the Lord! At my most recent Oncology appt my Dr mentioned 4yrs have passed since this lung cancer diagnosis- I was in shock,I really believed it was around 2 yrs ago since cyberknife- it's just crazy how time flies This " thing" is just sitting there,doing nothing- no movement,no significant change in the last 3 scans,I'd prefer it be GONE but very Grateful it seems frozen in its tracks- Glory to God! How are you doing? Post treatment changes our life but I hope all has changed for the better for you and for God's Glory! We are all here by the Grace of God With love in Christ,Kwik
