My brain exploded. My heart did in Feb. when my gf died of BC. I found billions of dollars of images of the Lachish relief in 3D! Site linked below- they're giving it away free. You might be asking: How is it worth billions of dollars bud? Well a 1 800 call I made to the UK about the licensing fees for a Lachish relief pic for a pastor friend proved to me that in sum total for the entirety of all the churches on earth it is worth a billion easy. You see the sales lady Holly -at one of those large image sellers -told me, after I exclaimed I didn't understand the licensing legalese : "Ron, I don't know much about Christianity but basically the pastor can use the photo you buy for a sermon on Noah's ark but he can't use it for a sermon or display for Baby Jesus. And you can't share it with another church." Never has it been easier to help the Church and earn eternal treasures The late Professor of Hebrew, Alan Millard, and the producers of the images have done the heavy-lifting. All we have to do is distribute their work, which is just as important to Lord Jesus. Millard died on June 6 before I got the chance to email him-my year has been the worst of my life. My Heart exploded in February My sweet Cali girlfriend Lesley unexpectedly died of breast cancer this year. Every moment of every day I miss her so much. I meditate on the super amazing verse in which Jesus proclaims that our Abba, Father is overjoyed to give us the Kingdom. These words keep my heart from shattering. Prettiest redhead that ever walked the earth. When the cancer spread to her lungs, docs had to make a hole in her chest to drain her every couple of days while she still was home. At first Kaiser Permanante told her they will teach her -by phone!-to drain herself which I found preposterous. After having an entire church pray to get her more help , they sent her a nurse, Praise Jesus! Lesley's fingertips split open from chemo in November and they had to get a special pulmo doc to take blood from her hands because her arm veins had collapsed. My little sister died when she was 6 after going through lung-piercing procedures at a another hospital. Deja-vu. The cancer then spread to Lesley's liver so she had to get these giant needles inserted into her side. She would say to me "Easypeasy sweety," because she saw a change in me . Her belly swelled up like a beachball in January. That was the first time I heard her ask why God was letting this happen to her. I told her-without knowing how little time she had left-that Romans 8 says unless we suffer we cannot be co-heirs with Christ. She was a real trooper-so brave. I would always tell her also how Jesus told the Apostles that there are many rooms in our Father's mansion. The Apostles rolled their eyes probably so Jesus had to emphatically declare in John 14:2" IF it were not so would I tell you I go there to prepare a place for you?" Lesley so loved that teaching of Jesus and I would tell her our rooms would be beside each other's forever. Doc had told her in July that she could easily live for many, many years so I was thinking of decades of happy future years with her on earth. The months of profound emotional and physical suffering for valiant Lesley and sometimes secretly distraught I, forced us into a truly infinitely deeper and intimate bond with our dearest Abba, Father through Jesus and the Spirit. I get to spend forever with Abba, Father and his most lovely daughter Lesley! Thank you dear Jesus and dear Holy Spirit! And the Oscar goes to .... The Lachish relief would no doubt have won the Academy Award for best eyewitness documentary if the award existed in 701 BC. It shows all facets in great detail of the most powerful army on earth's attack on Judah's 2nd largest city of Lachish.( I wrote a caption for it in the previous post.) We even see leaders of Lachish's resistance skinned alive and 3 citizens impaled. We see captives and their cattle being deported and more. The free to download and use in any way (Public Domain -you own it) 3d view of the entire 80 feet relief with a the ability to swipe over to a easier to view lighter color version on the back, transports you to the British Museum. Maybe even back to Lachish of Isaiah's time, which was about 30 miles south of Jerusalem. I have no doubt that the Lord Jesus has made this available to his beloved Church. Pastors are too busy to do everything. Sunday School teachers, and the lay person I pray, hopefully can chip in and help edify the youth and adult Christians alike. Below is part of the proven picture of Isaiah 36:1 from 701 BC. The late renowned Christian Professor of Hebrew of the University of Liverpool, Alan Millard, wrote about this picture in his book Discoveries From Bible Times. It is 100 percent authentic. Not even secular scholars question its genuineness. Even a couple of pastor friends of mine were shocked-in a good way- after seeing the pics and were glad we have undisputed evidence the Book of Isaiah is unquestionably true. Isaiah is oft called the Fifth Gospel as you know. In fact the Holy Spirit anticipated these discoveries (he of course caused it) because the NT starts off in Matthew 1:10 mentioning Christ's ancestor King Hezekiah who we can objectively prove existed as certainly as President Reagan or Einstein because of these evidences found in Nineveh between 1830 to 1849. After praying , I could just take 5 minutes and print of the free-for any-use photos of Isaiah 36:1 and share it with Sunday School teachers, VBS students and even pastors. The Lord has put it on my heart as a true calling to simply prove the Word to Christian youth/children and even adults sometimes. As my posts on this thread show, about 80 percent of church-going evangelical youth under 30 are leaving the Christian faith-mainly because no one in church simply proved that the Bible was really true. It actually happened to me when I was 19. I think biblically, our worship must be only towards the Almighty; that is why the Apostles worshipped Jesus, after he walked on water and saved Peter who was sinking in the sea- Matthew 14:31-33. Praise though, may be to almost anyone. -The difference between the two is more clear when one sees the somewhat wide-scope of the worship of God in the NT. Considering worship, Dr. Michael Morrison- an evangelical prof from GCS - explains that we must worship God in spirit and truth as Jesus said in the Gospel of John 4 :22-24. In Matthew 15:8, Jesus criticized the Pharisees, by quoting Isaiah, saying that they worshipped God in vain by merely honoring God with their lips but their hearts were far from God. Morrison says that our lives will show whether we really worship God- or is it all just in vain? In the Bible there are 3 types of worship: 1.worship that involves speaking 2.worship that involves listening 3.worship that involves doing Morrison says that there are several Koine Greek words in the New Testament for "worship". [He first explains that the word "worship" comes from 2 Old English words: 1) weorth which meant worth 2)scipe/ship which meant shape or quality] In Romans 12:1 Paul tells us to give our bodies as living sacrifices to God as spiritual worship. Morrison says because the born again believer is the temple of God, all of our entire self and life is an act of submission and worship. Paul in Romans 1:9 and 15:16 equates worship to preaching the gospel. In Phillippians 4:18 and 2 Corinthians 9:12 we are told that giving financial help to Christians is the worship of God. And in Hebrews 13:15-16 Christians are told to do two types of worship of God by uttering praises with our lips; and sharing and doing good to others. Your frank comment that even church-going adults are leaving Christianity made think of Jesus's words in Mark 4: 16-17: "And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy. And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away. I remember that some years I was talking to my mom's cable guy about his faith. He told me he was an unbeliever even though he had gone to Christian schools as a youth and did once believe in our Lord Jesus. I didn't know what to say but I showed him the photos of the Lachish relief from windowintothebible and some other stuff from their site. He genuinely was absolutely shocked to learn that there exists actual proven evidence for the Bible. He told me he will certainly consider becoming a Christian again. So I am certain we can prove the Bible to Christians. Christians are demanding we do this as studies show; and Christ has given us all the tools to do the job. And so through Christ's Word and his Spirit, we can counter successfully all the problems you importantly informed us of; and keep all Christians in Christ and in Church! We just have to very diligent as Proverbs tells us. We have to roll up our sleeves, and implement simply teaching and showing that Bible is really true. Hi my friend! It's great to hear from you again. I'm glad you found a church where they love one another! I always tell my friends that there should be a big plaque in every church with Jesus's New Commandment , John 12:34 inscribed on it "Love one another as I have loved you." I read a scholar say this this is about an even deeper love than :love your neighbor as yourself. It's a sacrificial love that we usually limit to our immediate family. Churches have to teach this all-important commandment by making it super obvious - and reinforce it- hence the plaque. People will choose to show greater, substantial love when they really believe that the Bible is true and that the church leaders expect it. A pastor, on faith in today's evangelical Church, told me that we must love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. "We must dig Ron, deeper in the Information Age." Christian kids are pondering things- many just won't say what they really feel and believe until they leave the Christian faith. A Mom of a church-going Texan high schooler asked me how to show her daughter the Bible was really true, after she came home crying because her classmates told her the Bible was all myths. I was on the spot so I showed her the photos of the Lachish relief, which even atheistic Wikipedia says is a true picture of Isaiah 36:1-2. I think she has a lot more confidence that the Bible is really true and she will able to defend her reason for believing, to others and most importantly to her own self. She will never leave Jesus like 75 % of evangelical youth are according to the Barna research from sis Tinky's 2014 Worthy thread. But most Christian parents just do not know how to educate their children in proving-simply- the veracity of God's Word. I'm not sure if parents are supposed to be mini- apologists even though Peter says to give a reason for one's faith. But I'm starting to think American Christian parents might have to! FJK, you may be right that a few may be ignoring what the Bible says on rearing faithful kids. Being a Christian parent is by far the most demanding-and rewarding- job in our post-modern world I've been told. But may be it's more confusion on how to, like the wonderful Christian mom who reached out to me. So others in the Body of Christ can get them what they- and Sunday school teachers - need to keep the church-going youth in Christ for their entire lives. You say it's "multifaceted" in causation- you are right; but there is one major reason possibly I'm learning. I just now remembered - because of you AnOrangeCat-Worthy Forum sister Tinky in 2014 bringing to my attention in a topic that a slim majority of Americans didn't think that the Bible is God's Word. But what dropped my jaw was a reply that stated : The following statistics come Dr. Paul Elliot, the Barna Research Group, Bible Literacy Center, and Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion: 37% of adults in Evangelical churches do not believe the Bible is totally accurate 45% of Evangelicals do not believe Jesus Christ was sinless 52% of Evangelicals do not believe Satan is real 57% of Evangelicals do not believe that Jesus is the only way to eternal life 57% of Evangelicals believe that good works play a part in gaining eternal life Less than 10% of adults in Evangelical churches cite the Bible as the primary basis of their worldview and behavior. 19% of those who are living with a partner outside of marriage are members of Evangelical churches. Over 50% of adults in Evangelical churches think other religions are valid. Nearly 75% of Evangelical young people leave the church when they reach adulthood. JTC, I watched AD The Bible... 3 or 4 years ago on NBC. I remember the part when Jesus appeared to Saul(paul) on his way to Damascus because I was surprised when Saul tried to full tackle Jesus to the ground! Jesus struck Saul blind in defense. "Oh," I remember thinking, "that's why Christ struck him blind." It did liven up things for sure; but I suspected it probably wasn't an accurate portrayal of Acts because I had already lost total respect for the series' historical accuracy after the Roman Emperor Tiberius visited Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem-which he never actually did. Entertaining certainly but sometimes historically false; sad because "AD..." could have been both historically true and moving. It could of been an amazing opportunity to spread the Gospel on prime time and on network TV. However I think I did hear that some episodes had good ratings so maybe it inspired some to read the Bible and search for the Truth. Maybe some were channel-surfing and saw it. After all not everyone is going to go out and catch The Passion of the Christ. It did have some really well-acted touching scenes I agree, for which reason I watched most of the series.

The Lord put it on my heart to get back in touch with an acquaintance over in Phoenix that I had only spoken to once in the last 10 years. I told the Lord that I wasn't sure that I should tell Tom the message that he wanted me to give him; so I told Christ Jesus that he must give me a sign that the message was appropriate. When I called him, Tom answered " Hi John...." I immediately said, "This is Ron. Do you remember me?" Tom replied, laughing," I thought you were my buddy John." You see when I reluctantly called Tom, there was no ringing sound; Tom was on the line the instant I dialed the last digit of his number. What had happened was that Tom actually had tried to call his best friend John at the same time I had called him. Something like this has happened to almost everyone no doubt. However Tom's just an acquaintance that I haven't dialed up to for a very long time; so it was far less likely to have occurred with him than with someone I call more often. I got my sign and did my tiny good deed. Extraordinary times for sure: I just saw Franklin Graham on a CNN commercial asking the viewers to accept Christ. I'm asking myself is this for real ? Everyone has by now heard about Saturday's White House news conference where President Trump announced -and later tweeted-that the drug combo azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine would be a game changer in treating COVID-19. He's possibly right according to a French study I heard on Fox News.(There are side-effects but in a life or death situation the risk is worth it) The good news is that these are existing drugs that are used to treat many diseases. The bad news is hydroxychloroquine is in short supply and the FDA is being really stupid - even criminal- by not moving much faster to approve these drugs for coronavirus treatment. Only once the FDA approves these drugs will then drug companies greatly increase production. The entire internet has known for months that hydroxychloroquine(alone) is somewhat effective for treating COVID 19. Over 550 Americans are dead and the FDA wants to "study" a decades old, proven (relatively) safe drug.(Don't take it unless told by a doctor because it sometimes causes an irregular heartbeat.)Trump is putting pressure on the FDA but Americans need to take action themselves by writing their congressman/senator. At the very least we should write to our representatives about the above treatment and Remdesivir, which the WHO said on Feb. 26 is our best hope(we can tell our friends to write too.) I think being concerned about the coronavirus and taking precautions such as washing our hands and whatever else one thinks needs to be done is just being practically wise not fearful. After all in Leviticus 13 God himself tells the Israelites to quarantine sick people and tells the sick to warn others they are ill.(Even scientists admit that was the invention of quarantine- nobody had a clue about germ theory until thousands of years later as you know.) God was telling them to be concerned and take action. He wasn't telling them to panic or not rely on him. God protected those Israelites by giving them knowledge that no one else on earth had or even could have in those primitive times. God will certainly always act on a believer's case but he can do it in many ways; such a inspiring medical researchers to make drugs or causing the coronavirus to be supernaturally stopped from hurting a believer. Pray both that Christ will protect us from the coronavirus and that he will give us an effective antiviral.
