  1. Jesus told us to pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. He also asked us to pray for his kingdom to come. If one lives God's Word he will make a home in him or her, and God's home is his kingdom. So pray to be able to live his whole Word.
  2. No, Mary had a child, and nun's don't want any children.
  3. I at one time watch Pat, but found him not to be of God.
  4. Feelings can't be trusted. Satan uses feelings to make people believe they are homosexual. Satan can and does give people feelings that may seem good, but in truth are evil.
  5. I therefore have no righteousness of my own but I do have a righteousness through Christ who paid my debt in full, sits at the right hand of the Father and has His home in my heart through His Holy Spirit who unites us in love and purpose. In Christ, Pat Yes Jesus gives us his Holy Spirit to dictate, and give us the grace to live the whole Word of God, and that is the only way one will enter Heaven.
  6. I personally find the King James Bible to be error filled. I don't believe this way, because of any study, but because the Holy Spirit has pointed out errors as I have read that translation. Personally it does not make much difference to me what bible I read, because Jesus/Holy Spirit will give me the correct meaning of any verse.
  7. A person being taught by the Christian Church about Jesus, may come to accept Jesus as his or her Lord and God. Then such a person is baptized in Jesus’ name. After one is baptized in water in Jesus’ name, they then may need an apostle to lay hands on them so they can receive the Holy Spirit. Paul was telling Timothy that not all who have been baptized in water are ready to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. (Acts 8: 14-17) “ When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, and they went down there and prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit, for as yet he had not come down on any of them: they had only been baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.”
  8. Yes Peter was talking a Christians, and a Christian is one who walks as Jesus Walked. Jesus obeyed his Father in Heaven, and we to be Christians/followers of Jesus have to obey Jesus our Lord and God.
  9. Yes the wrath of God is happening today, on those who do not live his Word. It is only the beginning of the suffering coming to those who sin.
  10. ~ Hi John As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” Romans 3:10-12 (NLT) These Are Wonderful Questions For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23 (NLT) You May Not Know This But It Is The Holy Spirit That Opens The Eyes For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (NLT) Of The Sinner To His Filth But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 (NLT) And Of The Gift If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10 Jesus Offers To The Dead Man Walking “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 My Prayer Is That You Will Give Up That Evil Illusion Of Self Perfection Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1 (NLT) And Turn To Jesus For His Righteousness So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 Before Your Soul Leaves And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (NLT) Your Body “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. John 14:1-3 (NLT) Be Blessed Beloved And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (NLT) Love, Joe Nothing you quoted says John is wrong. In fact almost every verse is taken out of context and does not address anything John said about sinning. You have just quoted verses to make it seem like no matter what one does of does not do they will enter the kingdom of God any way. Jesus told us that is a big lie. Jesus made it very clear in the following verse who it is that will be in Heaven with God. Only those who do the will of the Father in Heaven will enter God’s kingdom. The will of the Father is to hear, and obey our lord Jesus Christ. God the Father told the apostles to listen to Jesus, and one may not believe that means obey. The following verse tells us that the only way one will ever enter the kingdom of God is to obey what Jesus taught. (Matthew 7:21) “It is not those who say to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, who will enter the kingdom of Heaven but the person who does the will of My Father in Heaven. When the day comes many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?’ Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, you evil men!”
  11. John, this is true and Biblical so I hope all Christians would believe this as well. I would also add that we as Christians should hate sin for it undermines the high calling of Jesus Christ, our witness to Him and the ministry. However, I believe the only point we differ on is that if anyone does fail and sins we do have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ our Lord who is also our Savior. Praise be His Name! I am glad you have had such victory over sin in your life. As I've stated before I've never known a Christian who admits to no sin and actually does not sin. I've met many who by the world's standards were pure as the driven snow but when asked they confess they struggle with sin. My experience has been the closer we become to Christ the more we see sins that our pride has hidden from initial view. Awareness then leads to confession. This is the process of sanctification - the Lord working through us. I believe while we are in this world we are not yet perfected but that He is working on us to perfect who we are in Him. May the Lord give us all wisdom in this area and may God bless you In Jesus Name, Pat If I would deliberately commit a sin, then there would never be a place for me in the kingdom of God. Also Jesus/Holy Spirit always lets me know if I am in any danger of committing any wrong doing. One who allows the Holy Spirit to dictate to him or her, and has a personal relationship with Jesus our Lord and God, will become perfect. God will lead his own to live the whole Word of God, and then such a person becomes a home of God's. There is no sin in the kingdom of God/God's home. (Hebrews 10:26-31) “If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. There is left only the dreadful prospect of judgment and of the fiery wrath that is to devour your enemies.-----“ (John 14: 23) “Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.” i think 1 Corin 3: 15 fits in here If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. so you said if anyone sins they are not saved, that sounds different than this verse Saved from what to what? People make assumption that when scripture says saved it means saved people will go to Heaven. That is only an assumption. Show me I am wrong using the written Word of God.
  12. You have accepted a great and grave deception. This saddens me as I can well imagine the hardship for anyone acquainted with you and the impossible impossible standard you have set. The heart of a person speaks its own language apart from any translation and I would suggest your words do not express the heart of God but rather an impossible task master and an earned salvation with the unfortunate reward of imagining oneself as judge over those who do not agree with you. Sin is a tricky thing. We can see it so easily in others but rarely in ourselves to the extent of accepting that we might ourselves be wrong. Those who forswear themselves innocent, refuse any correction and have a high view of their own interpretation will reap the judgements sown upon others irregardless of whether or not they fully believe themselves truthful. That, is the nature of deception. The body does not consist of a head alone nor does one stone hew itself and set itself as the capstone. We have already that Head and Capstone and I would suggest that your doctrine be utterly rejected as untruthful and very damaging. I am not happy to come to that conclusion. We are to walk in the light as He is in the light. I am alarmed as I see these very odd and non-biblical teachings...twisted versions of the truth that cause one to ask "Did God really say?" at one time not long ago I was against women teachers of Gods words; this post is a prime example of why I have come to accept women as excellent teachers of Gods word. Amen sister or as they say today you go girl All I get from you is your opinion, which leads me to believe that you have a total misunderstanding of God's Word. Not only that, but you seem to believe that Jesus failed to do what he came here to do. (1 John 3:8) “He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work” You also seem to believe every one sins, so are all of the people you know of the devil, like John says?
  13. Way to go tigger! Don't let anyone tell you you are not a sinner. Of course you are! We all are! The bible is full of verses telling us that, and telling us how we should avoid sin. Paul told us how the Holy Spirit makes it so we no longer sin. (Romans 8: 4) “He did this in order that the law’s just demands might be satisfied in us, who behave not as our unspiritual nature but as the Spirit dictates.” If one listens to the Holy Spirit and obeys, he or she will never sin again. If one sins he or she are of the devil, and does not have any relationship with Jesus. (1 John 3:5-6) “Now you know that he appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen him or known him.” (1 John 3:9-10) “No one who has been begotten by God sins; because God’s seed remains inside him, he cannot sin when he has been begotten by God. In this way we distinguish the children of God from the children of the devil: anybody not living a holy life and not loving his brother is no child of God’s.” (1 John 3:8) “Whoever lives sinfully belongs to the devil, since the devil has been a sinner from the beginning. This was the purpose of the appearing of the Son of God, to undo the work of the devil. So you believe the bible contradicts its self, is that right? Or do you believe Paul, and John just got it all wrong? John says one who sins is of the devil, do you believe one can be of the devil, and God at the same time? You are teaching a false interpretation. Your interpretation is very dangerous first to yourself and secondly to anyone who fails to understand the work of deceiving spirits. It is utter deception to say, teach or believe that on this earth we no longer sin ... ever. If you actually and truly believe you have reached a place where you do not and will not ever sin again and consider the Apostle Paul to be an infant Christian, then I would suggest you pay special attention to the words of Jesus warning believers about deception. You have shared your opinion, now where is the scripture to confirm your opinion?
  14. So if a person is a Christian, and they commit the sin of lust... In your view, they don't just lose salvation, but they lose all hope of any forgiveness. They can never get saved again, there is no starting over. God will never forgive that person for that sin and they have no hope at all?? Their salvation is permanently taken away from them forever? That is what you are saying? No that is not what I said. A Christian is some one who walks as Jesus walked. A Christian who still sins is a infant in Christ, and not yet spiritual.
  15. So if you commit a sin, there is no forgiveness, no grace? You commit a sin and you are forever condemned to hell and hope of Gods' mercy? No point in asking for forgiveness? is the blood of Jesus only for perfect people? Read the following scriptures very carefully, and see where it say about insulting the Spirit of Grace/Holy Spirit. Insulting the Spirit of Grace is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, and that is an unforgivable sin. That doesn't really answer my question. I am not asking about the unpardonable sin. Let me ask it this way: If a person commits the sin of lust, and they repent and ask for forgiveness, will they be forgiven or is it the case that having committed that sin, there is no forgiveness, no mercy for them? If God sees you commit one sin He will never, ever forgive you? Is that what you are saying?? Not just any person. Just those who have been given the knowledge of the truth. Most people don't understand that one can't come to the knowledge of the truth unless God teaches him or her.
  16. There is a good example of what happens to those who insult the Holy Spirit in the next scripture verses. (Acts 5:1-11) “There was another man, however, called Ananias. He and his wife, Sapphira, agreed to sell a property; but with his wife’s connivance he kept back part of the proceeds, and brought the rest and presented it to the apostles. Ananias, Peter said ‘now can Satan have so possessed you that you should lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the money from the land? While you still owned the land, wasn’t it yours to keep, and after you had sold it wasn’t the money yours to do with as you liked? What put this scheme into your mind? It is not to men that you have lied, but to God. When he heard this Ananias fell down dead. This made a profound impression on everyone present. The younger men got up, wrapped the body in a sheet, carried it out and buried it. About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had taken place. Peter challenged her, ‘Tell me was this the price you sold the land for? ‘Yes,’ she said ‘that was the price.’ Peter then said, ‘So you and your husband have agreed to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test! What made you do it? You hear those footsteps? They have just been to bury your husband; they will carry you out, too.’ Instantly she dropped dead at his feet. When the young men came in they found she was dead, and they carried her out and buried her by the side of her husband. This made a profound impression on the whole Church and on all who heard it. Lying to the Holy Spirit is insulting the Holy Spirit, and that is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 10:26-31) “If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. There is left only the dreadful prospect of judgment and of the fiery wrath that is to devour your enemies. Anyone who disregards the Law of Moses is ruthlessly put to death on the word of two witnesses or three; and you may be sure that anyone who tramples on the Son of God, and who treats the blood of the covenant which sanctified him as if it were not holy, and who insults the Spirit of grace, will be condemned to a far severer punishment. We are all aware who it was that said: Vengeance is mine; I will vindicate his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

  18. ~ Dear John He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:18 When Believers Fall Short Of The Glory Of God For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 They Are Christians Yet No Holy Spirit? In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14 Because They Sinned? If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8 ~ Brother John If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:9-10 Stand Fast, Keep The Faith As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:12 And Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25 Love, Your Brother Joe One shows he or she believes in Jesus by obeying him. No one will ever enter the kingdom of God unless he or she live the whole Word of God. (Matthew 7:21) “It is not those who say to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, who will enter the kingdom of Heaven but the person who does the will of My Father in Heaven. When the day comes many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?’ Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, you evil men!” Eph. 2:5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) Wonderful grace !! Romans 7 :23 But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. As born again Christians we do not have the desire to sin--but it happens:( Do you believe that your out of context verses make what John said null and void? (1 John 3: 5 - 6) “ Now you know that He appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in Him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen Him or known Him.” John told us that if one sins then he or she has never seen nor knows Jesus. Is John wrong? (1 John 2:6) “But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did” Do you believe Jesus sinned? If Jesus did not sin then any one who claims to live in Jesus does not sin either, right? (1 John 3:8) “He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work” John tells us that if one sins he or she are of the devil. Think about that. If the persons who taught you about God sinned, then you have been taught God by the devil. (1 John 3:9) “No one, who has been begotten by God sins; because God’s seed remains inside him, he cannot sin when he has been begotten by God.” John tells us that those who have been begotten by God don't sin. Are not born again Christian considered to be begotten by God. John tells us they can't sin.

  20. Yes Peter did that, and that was before he received the Holy Spirit. Paul told us in Romans seven just how impossible it is for one to not sin, before he or she receives the Holy Spirit. The following verse tells us how God made it possible to never sin again. By the way if you say the a Christian will sin then you are contradicting John, and that is contradicting the written Word of God. (1 John 3:9) “No one who has been begotten by God sins; because God’s seed remains inside him, he cannot sin when he has been begotten by God.” A better translation says it this way: No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. (1Jn 3:9) ~ ESV This is more consistent with the Greek than whatever version you are using. The NIV renders it this way: No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. (I John 3:9) Again, this is better and agrees with the Greek. It refers not to committing a single sin but making habit of sin. **Comment removed** No translation of any authorized bible ever made up such a lie. Your quote contradicts it self. One does not need to practice sinning. I am using the most reliable translations available in English today. You are using the "Good News" Bible which is more of a paraphrase and not an official translation. So the version you are employing to make your case isn't regarded as an "authorized" translation." My quote doesn't contradict itself at all. I quoted the ESV, and the NIV and both agree with the Greek whereas your Good News Bible doesn't agree with the Greek because it is not tranlated from the Greek. it a paraphrased English Bible an as such, is not a reliable version for study or understanding of Scripture. By your standard Paul went hell because Paul harbored unforgiveness toward John Mark after John Mark deserted him on his first missionary journey. Paul said He was the chief of sinners. So by your standard, Paul went to hell. In context, Paul isn't talking about Christians in those verses. Here is the context: When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life! So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church? I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to settle a dispute between the brothers, but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers? To have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? But you yourselves wrong and defraud--even your own brothers! Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1Co 6:1-11) Paul was addressing the fact that the Corinthian Christians were having their internal differences and disagreements settled in the secular courts of the city of Corinth. They were taking the affairs of the church and having them judged by sinful, pagan magistrates. These magistrates were sexually immoral, they were idolaters, adulterers, homosexuals, thieves greedy, drunkards, etc. and Paul's point was these people, these pagan magistrates will not inherit the kingdom of God. "Why should we as Christians who will one day judge the angels have our matters settled in pagan courts," Paul said. Paul is adominshing them that these pagans, these sinful pagan magistrates have no standing in the church and it is not fitting that they should arbitrate matters of pertaining to the affairs of God's people. So you are completely missing what is being said by Paul in that passage. Is that so? YOU are totally wrong. The following scripture explains how Paul talked to Christians who still sinned. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3) “Brothers, I myself was unable to speak to you as people of the Spirit; I treated you as sensual men, still infants in Christ. What I fed you with was milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it; and indeed, you are still not ready for it since you are still unspiritual. Isn’t that obvious from all the jealousy and wrangling that there is among you, from the way that you go on behaving like ordinary people?” Christian who sin are infants in Christ, not yet spiritual. Here again is what Paul said: (1 Corinthians 5:11) “What I wrote was that you should not associate with a brother Christian who is leading an immoral life, or is a usurer, or idolatrous, or a slanderer, or a drunkard or is dishonest; you should not even eat a meal with people like that.”
  21. You asked so I will tell you. Know this though, I am no longer am posting on the Forums because Jesus tells me to do so. Now posting is just because I enjoy sharing what Jesus has personally taught me. When in my late thirties I was a Catholic who went to Mass and Communion every day. Jesus called me into his ministry, and after two years I said yes. It was hard for me to believe I could be a minister for God. I was just married with two babies, and thought being a minister was a priest. After finely accepting Jesus’ call, I asked what seminary to attend. Jesus told me:"NO! Don’t read about me, I will teach you about me." Next Jesus asked me to give him my life. About to say yes when the Holy Spirit let me know that if I gave my life to Jesus I would lose everything I owned. A few months later found me living in a tent with my young wife, three babies, and a dog. I not only lost everything, but also my way of making a living was taken from me. For the next forty some years I followed Jesus/Holy Spirit where ever led. God has made a home in me and Jesus is in constant communication with me at all times. Jesus has come into my living room, and sat next to me to teach me. He once, sitting next to me, had me open the bible and used the written Word of God to show me where it tells us a Christian is dead to sin. He not only taught me that but explained to me how he made it possible for Christians to not sin. Jesus has shown himself to me and has called me out by name. He also told me he is God, and that the bible is the written Word of God, and he told me to get more into the bible. By the way the only bible I had was the Jerusalem Bible. Jesus did not have a problem having it called his written Word. Jesus/Holy Spirit will never lead one to sin, and if a person follows God they will always receive the grace to resist Satan/sin. Thank you for sharing your life story! "Yes" Jesus forgave us all our sins when we accept Him,but since we still are in our earthly body so we do sin...but God in His grace will forgive us our sins if we ask for forgiveness:) I am filled with the Holy Spirit too but there are times that I know that I might have thoughts or anything in my life not pleasing the Lord and will ask for forgiveness, you never have those moments? Where are you living now? First if one who has been given the knowledge of the truth, and deliberately commits a sin there is no longer any repentance for such a person. A Spiritual Christian will not deliberately sin. What I shared with you is a long way from my life's story. My wife died six years ago, and I am now living with one of my children. Jesus taught me to live his whole Word. Do not store up for one's future. On can't be a disciple of Jesus unless he or she gives up all his or her possessions. disobeying any part of God's Word is a sin. Jesus said to offer the evil person no resistance, and to love one's enemies. Yet how many so called Spiritual Christian live God's Word?
