  1. and yet people still Blaspheme to one who can erase them with a word. Amazing. Thank you again for posting, God Bless
  2. Only take the faster route if it was on the way to the hospital with an expectant mother in my car
  3. Would you rather sing a song, or tell a story? Now I know everyone who knows me would rather have me tell a story, something about the inability to transport a tune in a bucket...;) But I do love weaving tales, and listening to songs
  4. This question always reminds me of the Cherokee proverb of two wolves, not scripture but surely a scriptural truth
  5. Green Yellow and Sky Blue Not sure if its important but they make up one 90 degree arc of the color wheel. But its creation I love
  6. Exactly all the great heroes of the bible had their Failures from Adam to Peter Just don't be like me, where you've been back to square one so many times you have squatters rights
  7. I have to concur here the name portends to focus on a man, an apostle. And I am pretty sure most people know how I feel about putting any man between you and God We don't need a new movement, we need to get back you the Original. Christianity - you and God
  8. Like all of it but 10 and 15 And fire only burns if you touch it. No reason to expose yourself Not that , that prayer is bad, but incomplete. God wants us also to take responsibility for ourselves and put on the Armor daily. THEN rely on His grace But over all very good suggestions
  9. Well there is a difference between argument and discussion. What defines whether we are discussing or arguing is not so much emotions, but whether we are listening. If we have our preconceived notions and are not willing to hear what someone else has to say then we are arguing None of us have a complete picture of God and we need to share and listen to others ideas and revelation to fill in the blanks in our understanding. We have a volcano here in California called Mt Shasta and it sticks up 14,000 right in the middle of a valley. You can see it from all sides a from miles away. But each side of that mountain has a different look, and if we only saw our view of it, we would have a very incomplete perception of that mountain. We have to be willing to see it from other peoples perspective to get the complete picture.
  10. Are you listening to the voice of the Lord? Because what I hear you saying is guilt, anger, frustration and every whisper that the enemy as ever poured in your ear. It is okay to be weak. Even Paul struggled with things 2 Corinthians 10:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. What is not okay is to be a victim. We have the almighty Lord God with us, and if God be for us, who can be against us? What Does God say about you? Hebrews 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” He is with you. Always, He will never leave you, and He is not standing over you with a hammer waiting for you to fail. He is trying to help you. Romans 8: 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who[a] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit But it all comes down to the voice you listen to, and if you choose to be a victim or a victor, to be overcome or to be an overcomer, through the love, strength and grace of Jesus Christ Instead of giving power to all the negativity in your life, embrace the positivity of the Lord, as you renew your mind to a new way of operating you will find that all the chains of despair will fall off. God wants to help you, but you have to let Him. Take his word and use the to replace all those negatives We should not be ashamed of our weakness, but rather embrace it, because that is where God fills the gaps. Isaiah 40: 28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. We might not be able to move mountains, but God can, trust in Him
  11. I find reading things By Lee Strobel (Case for Christ etc) very interesting. For studies its always good to have a vine dictionary, a Naves topical bible and Strong's Concordance. Also I find having an amplified version of the bible handy as well, they used to all be on my desk, now its a computer where I can access this all online I also listen to guys on the Radio. Bott radio has a good group. Alistair Begg, J Vernon McGee are my favorites
  12. Good point. They used to stress in bible college that government agents don't learn to spot counterfeit money by studying counterfeits, but rather become so deeply accustomed to the real thing, that anytime they saw a fake, they would spot it right away!
  13. All very well said Being humble, so simple a concept . sometimes so hard to do
  14. In a very minimal way you made it personal....which is against the rules.
  15. You need to stop caring what he says. Pride is what's tripping you up here. You don't have to defend yourself if your words are speaking the truth. Ignore him, he doesn't matter. Say what needs to be said. Jesus told us we would be hated for His sake Matthew 5:11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
  16. As of yet I find nothing in your comments that are offensive. I see frustration and a little bit of an unwillingness to the situation, but its all Good. Your Allusions to Paul and Jesus are interesting, that you think this discussion is on par with that. Also they both willingly went to their death for the church. Are you truly counting the cost? Can you say what needs to be said without aggression? There is nothing wrong with posting a scripture if that scripture offends. But opinions, names, or insults or slights that offend are going to get you. I am not telling you this because I am perfect, I am not. I am in a similar position where I let my emotions get the better of me and reaped the consequences Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. If you believe someone is out to get you, do not let them
  17. I would assume that the problem is not what your posting , but how you are responding. Can't win this one brudder, so you have to choose.
  18. Now there is some wisdom there for we who are #easilytriggered
  19. Yeah I know...when I get gigged my first response is to get offended, but usually after an hour I realize this is their site, their rules and if i want to be a part of it (and I do) then I have to comply. I am not saying you don't have a case, but it is there house. You want to be part of it, be a good house guest
  20. You are adding to scripture. which simple states 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. And again after hours of extensive study and use of large exhaustive resources it has been determined that the word All...means All. I am not going to argue Calvinism with you.
  21. See here is my problem with that If God wants that all would be saved, and He does 1 Timothy 2: 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. and people go to hell..... then the attempt failed He offers us his love and salvation, He does not force it. But thank you for your reply.
  22. Bottom of the screen black menu https://worthyministries.com/terms-and-conditions/ Also as already posted https://www.worthychristianforums.com/terms I have run up against the same buzz saw as you, but it was my actions that caused any action on the part of Worthy. I can be abrupt, rude and worse, and the times I stepped over the line, I got "notified" and I deserved it
  23. We've all seen hamsters at the wheel furiously spinning. furiously in a panic and going no where. Sometimes our "discussions" can be like that. Because there are many things we believe, or think that we can't quite authenticate in scripture. What you know - is what God tells us in His word. If it is plainly stated in the word, then you KNOW its true (if you accept the entire bible as the word of God...which is another hamster wheel argument) What you believe - What God has revealed to you in scripture. This you have an absolute certainty about, but because it required the Holy Spirit to open it up to you, it is not always something you can easily demonstrate to others. What you think - Impressions you have gained in your own mind while reading the word. Valuable to you, but useless for others (analogous to speaking in tongues in congregation with no interpretation....but that's another hamster wheel isn't it) Now there are times in the bible (most notably end times subjects) where God has told us that certain things will happen, but not when and not always how. Rapture comes to mind. And since God has seen fit to give us the impression of the occurrence but not the details, is there any real reason to argue it. We all have our thoughts and opinions on these subject but if there is no hard authority to settle the issue, the discussions end up going round and round and no where. I am not saying its not important to discuss these things, it is very important. But when you take a dogmatic stance on a subject that is not established dogmatically well....spin spin spin again
  24. I would say that since this scripture says we will meet Jesus in the air, and He has n0t yet returned to the earth, that this might be the rapture. But since no one can prove or disprove any facet of future prophecy (save one...that It will happen) its an argument on a hamster wheel. Lots of action going nowhere. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
