  1. The fear of the the Lord is the Beginning.......of wisdom the fear brings us to God....but once we are His that fear morphs into an awed respect fear of circumstances also brings us places....where we don't want to go. The is the perscription for the fear of circumstances and evil Phil 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
  2. Once upon a time, Palestine and Israel did coexist then Palestine got its neighbors (Egypt, Syrian, Jordan) to attack Israel with the intent to Push Israel into the sea Miraculously Israel survived, won and the arabs had their rear ends handed to them To the victor goes the spoils Don't start anything you can't complete
  3. I would make one comment here and that is that your relationship with God and your relationship with church, are two very different things you can go to ten churches or none, and still have a solid relationship with God or you could be the biggest church goer on the world and we weak in your relationship with God Just make sure your relationship with God is rock solid, and the church thing will take care of itself...for He will lead youi where He wants you to go.
  4. Isn't it just like God to cut through all the hoopla and go to the common man. If Jesus had entered the world as the king who he was, he could have never reached the common man, He would have been tied up with the elite But here is God Himself born in a feed trough, with and audience of animals and shepherd and angels Who would walk through the back stage of life, teaching and reaching people, and nevetr getting much notice, until it was His time. Phil 2: 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Yes Lord we praise you and thank you for showing us the way....and coming to us, the common man.
  5. Blasephemy of the Holy Spirit...The Unforgivable sin is very specific... It is saying that the work of the Holy Spirit is the work of the devil Mark 3 20 Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.” 22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.” 23 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27 No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house. The Unpardonable Sin 28 “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— 30 because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.” Redemption is available to all, no matter how evil, until their last breath. Paul killed Christians before He came to Jesus, and we know what He became
  6. Matthew 25 25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. 11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ 12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ 13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. Have you wicks trimmed (have your life in order) Have your Lamps filled (have your hearts full of the Holy Spirit and on the things of God) And watch for the coming.
  7. Jesus was testing the woman, because she was in sin...and he wanted to see where she would go. He appreciated her determination...but had to confront her with her sin first The soldier....had stated clearly his understanding of authority and who had it
  8. It is my understanding doctrinally that when the paul uses the word end times, he is refering to the entire stretch of time from pentecost to now.
  9. Guilty Pleasures that damage the soul - gossip
  10. I think Paul's choice was much like Jesus' choice Jesus knew that if He went to Jerusalem he would be imprisoned and crucified Paul knew the same thingm, If He went to Jerusalem, He would be imprsioned and eventually aent to Rome to be beheaded Both knew what was coming, both were tempted not to go to Jerusalem (Jesus by Peter) but both made the choice that sealed their fate
