  1. Maybe there's something about the English language having more words for every possible kind of dirt.
  2. This doesn't address the O.P. Yes it does. I think the O.P. is talking about whether the angel is Jesus and if the 'little book' is the Qu'ran Your post just doesn't really address these things. Revelation 1:1 should be obvious, apparently it's not.

  4. I like the story of Jonah, it exemplifies repentance. It is in the Bible, a little book of a minor prophet, but a greatness of wisdom. In the first chapter, verses 8 and 9, that expresses a kind of seal, even to suggest there is an angel standing on the sea and the land. There's a certain literal meaning, that is the experience of the prophet, and how that relates to the experiences of people, and from that are more figurative, abstract interpretations according to how anyone can identify with the story. Suppose the seven thunders are confessions, and are meant to be forgot, or that because the book of the Revelation is written down after John experienced the vision, the meanings of the seven thunders are suggested in the first chapters. To say it's sweet as honey in the mouth but it's bitter in the stomach, that could be going to a hypothetical interpretation of a candy-like, cartoonish image to a more hard-core personal realization of the same text. Proverbs is also a book of wisdom, such as verse 2 of chapter 25, that the ending of Revelation 10 could be hinting something about that, especially how it leads into Revelation 11 where the seventh angel sounded and the kingdoms of the world become the kingdoms of Christ. We can know the signs but we can't know the exact time of the return of Christ, it's almost as though if anyone tries to set the date, in the setting of it then God changes it, at which point they're stuck like Jonah on the outskirts almost disgruntled that Nineveh wasn't destroyed.
  5. Not having much experience with this, maybe for thinking in visual ways, but hearing a preacher go speaking in tongues there is an energy about it. There ought to be two or three witnesses that verifies the interpretation, I think. It's happened to me a few times before, I don't understand it, feels like gibberish but then after it happened I try to remember what it is and there is an accent to it. I think, maybe this word or that word, if I can recognize anything, but never sure enough myself. I have to concede to fact that such a gift is given out to some more than others, so I believe those who are good with it ought to be recognized for it and given opportunity to share the messages if they're prophetic.
  6. If I said what it is, who would believe it? I should say that I've done enough for God, but to put pride and ego in the way, or to just be stubborn, that is frustration. Recently, certain issues about the Bible were brought to my attention, even the reasons why Jesus spoke in parables, because the Spirit shows me something about the way so many have gone about the interpretation of scripture and prophecy. I don't understand, you can't tell them when they're incorrect, so I would much rather go watch a movie or something. As far as I know, the books of the Bible are translated well enough, the text of them, but the compilation is out of order and has been for centuries. Generally, in the day-to-day living, that is not a problem because of the Spirit, but when people start to read into things about prophecy there is a risk because there are different kinds of scriptures. God tells me to correct this problem, but apparently it's not meant for everyone.
  7. AS WELL AS Gentiles who believe on Jesus. Believing Israel is depicted in Romans 11:24 as "the good olive tree" into which the "wild" branches of believing Gentiles have been grafted. Hence Gentiles are admonished not to be highminded. At the same time, God has not abandoned His promises to Abraham, therefore at the Second Coming of Christ ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED (Rom 11:26). Therefore Christians -- the Church (Jew and Gentile in one Body) -- must understand that God has an eternal plan for the Church and also and eteral plan for redeemed and restored Israel. This is something which a lot of Christians cannot comprehend, because they do not believe the OT prophecies regarding Israel in the Land of Promise for eternity under Christ. There ought to be twelve houses, each having a discrete religious disposition, like theologies which are mutually beneficial and cooperative. I think it's a process like what is described in chapter 3 of Malachi, and for many Christians there is a difficult choice to make because it's not about Jews and Gentiles since the house of Judah is but one of twelve houses. A lot of Christians find out the hard way that laws against mixing fabrics improperly have a greater spiritual meaning to be fulfilled. I think the Jews are faced with the same dilemma but different circumstances, which is basically that all of the Jews fit into the house of Israel but not all the house of Israel fits into the house of Judah. I think that for Christians the issue is about coming to terms with the idea that Israel has both a heavenly and a mundane expression, and what the Jews regard as the written Torah and the oral Torah, the Christians regard as the Law and the Gospel, those have to be reconciled with the main priority set to love God and to love thy neighbor. For some reason that is obscured from people, and I think it's because so often the writings of the apostle Paul are cherry-picked to give the impression that the Old Testament has been abolished by the New Testament, and good luck trying to convince them that just isn't the case.
  8. thank you for the thoughtful message
  9. Trying to understand why Zionism is so controversial... the Middle East is insane, like to join the War of the Month club just to keep track of what's going on there, but ultimately it doesn't make sense that anyone would have faith in Messiah at all if there is no kingdom of Israel to receive him.
