Just highlighting what you have and see why... You're using your current condition to avoid... perhaps forgiveness which the Lord is using the situation to claim. Why are you afraid? Blessings jade, i do not listen/read watch anything that is not Christian usually with the occasional except ( if i am at another's house, hearing a hurricane earthquake or news item from others etc). This has been at least the past 6 years or so. i used to have tv with cable for my children when they came to visit but stopped that as well. Sometimes it has been disclosed later some i may not know this side of heaven truthfully i can admit that now i see through a mirror darkly and my joy is that it will be face to face one day the perfect will be know thoroughly. until then i will trust the Lord for those things that at this point are not understood while relying upon scripture. again not one person has shown me where the gifts of the Holy Spirit was only intended for the Apostles in the Bible. neither side of this should be arguing judgment down or condemnation on the other as it is not an issue of salvation. love your sister in Christ, Rebekah David You have a lovely way of speaking the truth! All things of God grow out of the bounds of our understanding, but loved one the beginnings are ours for the purpose of foundations of spiritual stance! The deeper aspects of God and purposes are held in the all knowing aspects of His being (but) so that we may trust and act upon His Spiritual guidance is given for us in His Word foundationally which is the building up of our faith... in this instance your belief system matches mine in that we are speaking of growing up instances of God's redeemed .... and we are brought to this in Scripture in the address of such Luke 9:49-50 49 Now John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us." 50 But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side." NKJV This is a relational issue with either Spirit or flesh and as much as I can determine (so far) it seem to be one of intimate decision upon each individual with The Holy Spirit! The best way to find ourselves is the waiting upon God for the direction of His Word ... This being my only direction as to instruction as His child for eternity... Blessings, Unbaised i am i was not taught about the gifts of the Spirit by my pastor. nor as i have stated have i asked for or received this gift. No one has shown where in the Bible it states that the gifts of the Spirit were only applicable to the Apostle's life time. (good thing the fruits of the Spirit are not deemed as only applicable in the Apostle's life time) love your sister in Christ.

Blessings, The people that i have met who speak in tongues are some of the most humble God loving Bible believing people that i count as a blessing to know. They do not "urge others to do so" nor do they say it is a matter of salvation. These people come from a variety of churches non of which are pentacostal. Which of these are as highly overused as tongues are? Which are so liable to misuse as tongues are? (Not trying to be argumentative, but tongues is in a class of its own as far as how it is in the church today, and the pride that too often comes with it.) Blessings Neb, yes its facinating to see how the Lord is unfolding it all. last year i saw on yahoo news that Venezuala and Iran had signed a military pact. This was at the same time that i was studying Ezekiel so i started to look a little more closely at what was happening politically with certain countries ( Venezual and Russia also have a similar pact) right around that time it was reported that Rusiia was shipping arms etc to Iran through Venezual. i lost most of the info i colllected when i went to a site in Georgia (the country) and got one nasty puter virus the only notes that i scratched out on paper unfortunately are these mutual military pacts Ethiopia and Aratraya with Iran May 2008 Sudan with Iran March 2008 i am pretty sure that Iran and Lybia also had a mutual military agreement but i did not write that by hand so it was lost. blessings Neb and Steven, yes but the major player Russia is not Islamic. the alliances formed between Radical Islamic nations and communist countries is startling and notice Saudia Arabia protest in Ezekiel so not all of it is for religious reason. in the past few years Russia has been using their gas pipe line to keep the former soviet block in line politically threatening to cut off their supply in the dead of winter. the gas in Israel will threaten both Russian dominance and economy. interesting i think thats the connection. love your sister in Christ, Rebekah David
