I have asked those questions myself. I used to walk around with a big sign on my forehead that said "walk on me." It was terrible and it stemed from being a victim of abuse, so I had a victim mentallity. I used to see a therapest (sp?) and this is what he told me; it is ok to say no, it is the other person's choice weather they are going to be mad about it or not. We don't "make" people mad, they chose to be mad. I used to be so afraid of making anyone mad at me because they might not like me, now...if they get mad, I know it is not my problem nor my fault (and I'm not saying that with an attitude). Of course there is a balance and I had to learn where that was. It was scary practicing to not be a door mat, but now, wow...what a freedom. I will be praying for you!

Snow, I am guilty of that also. I buy groceries with the full intention of cooking and consuming them, but because I live alone (aside from my cat) I grab a sandwich or microwave popcorn instead. I put off cooking, knowing the food is in there and by the time I decide "today I'm going to cook" the food has spoiled. My remedy for that is...buy the food the day I really am going to cook it

I have grandchildren, and I worry about what they have to deal with. Movies are soooo bad these days, once in a blue moon a good one will come out but not often. As far as t.v is concerned there is nothing wholesome on it. Whatever happened to sitting down with your family and a tub of popcorn and watching shows like flipper. I think families need to turn the t.v off and spend time together, have a game night or whatever. They need the influence of family values not t.v. I pray for my grandchildren, that's what gives me peace.

Pray for them, pray for the Lord to soften his heart...and let the Holy Spirit do the work.

Whenever I have fasted it was always liquid only, water, juice, broth. If you are going to fast just remeber to break it with gentle foods like soup (tomato), or fruits and then work your way back up to the normal things.
