  1. God didnt HATE Esau in the way it might normally be understood. Hate here is usually meant to be seen as a lesser degree of love.
  2. All that is good and correct, but there is only so much stress within a marriage that one can take. If he wants to keep trying to make it work then may the Lord bless adn guide Him in this but If she refuses to listen then he should walk away for his own sanity.
  3. But in context, most of those scriptures you quoted have nothing whatever to do with his situation. But the part I quoted to him does. If his wife is a non believer and only mocks him for his faith then he is free to divorce her and take another. If a prospective future wife understands his situation fully, she would be more than happy to marry him
  4. That would require another thread and you have to look mostly at the Hebrew and Greek as I already said. Did a long study on this years ago with a church elder
  5. No because the a/c will not be a Saudi. He may be a muslim, but the most likely place he will come from will be Turkey. As the bible speaks of Gog of Magog, Meshech and Tubal, all places found in Turkey.
  6. No. This is often how real wars start
  7. Yup that is true but that will bring things too off topic
  8. Nooo. It actually means that way it sounds. Honor your father and mother. Would be a lot easier for people to understand such concepts if they could understand the true nature of the Trinity. As Solomon said, There is no new thing under the sun. Including the concept of Father and Mother. The holy Ghost when you study Scripture in the ancient languages is FEMALE. Our true mother.
  9. You are talking about taking out a whole building full of Philistines, enemies of Israel, the only way he knew how, being blinded. He largely brought this on himself as he led a somewhat impulsive existence that the Lord allowed only to show the folly of men who think they know better than God. This might not have happened if he didnt marry an infidel wife. But God allowed vengeance upon the enemies of Israel by granting Samson the strength he needed to do the job. I just dont see, when you read the chapter, Samson simply despairing of life the way suicide victims usually do. He wanted vengeance for the loss of his eyes. To die this way is not what God would have wanted for him but....welll I am not that good at writing, let me just post an interesting commentary about it that probably explains it better https://enduringword.com/bible-commentary/judges-16/
  10. I agree. Dont worry if people dont want to associate with you, what matters is that Christ loves you even if it appears that others dont. Also it sometimes seems to me if you want to be included you have to go to the people, dont wait for them to invite you.
  11. God gives us all good things to be accepted with rejoicing and thanksgiving. Even cell phones. But the problem is here do you (and I mean all people here not just 'you') love your toys more than your Christian life?
  12. Its not about your physical existence. Jesus isnt speaking of people dying its about living a life of earthly pleasure.
  13. The Lord allows for divorce for spouses who simply cannot agree in the faith. Such people are not under bondage to the command that you shall not divorce your wife or husband 1 Cor 7 12But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 15But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
  14. Samson didnt commit suicide. His act was more along the lines of a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save his friends.
  15. No. You have only this life to be forgiven of your sins. You cannot be forgiven after you are dead. Judas was never a believer anyway
  16. Ok then I would like to see how this person feels about using TV/movies/plays to spread the gospel to people in other countries who are illiterate and in a few cases dont even have an alphabet (and so dont even have a bible)
  17. Actually they are commonsense tools of Christ What accord hath righteousness with unrighteousness? We are called not to yoke ourselves unequally with non believers (applies more strongly than ever today as governments expect us all to stand with Muslims) and that can equally apply to yoking ourselves with people who flagrantly violate the laws of our country
  18. They have the ability to create the world's first bionic man....ahem sorry that popped into my head when I read that
  19. ONE Give lazy prideful Americans/Canadians who think that construction, maintenance, cooking and cleaning jobs are beneath them a good boot to the bum. TWO Canada, the US and European countries are already coming to a standstill because of people who believe in open borders. THREE, Do you not see the illogic in your first two lines?
  20. Palestinians are largely Muslims who want to destroy Israel. Save that they repent and abandon Islam they have no place in Israel. They dont belong there
  21. No border, no country. At least a wall will slow things down significantly even if (as we all know) it cant stop illegals entirely? This is NOT God's will. So you think that illegals who are largely criminals should just be allowed to just come on over any time they please while law abiding immigrants have to go through the usual channels and pay money for their citizenship? Wake up man its attitudes like yours that are the reason why the US is having such trouble with MS13 ; because you think no illegal can do any harm
  22. One thing that is important to remember too is that there are some things about scripture that are non negotiable. You either believe in them or you are not saved. But there are things in scripture that are not necessary to believe in to be saved and God doesnt want us to engage in excessive nitpicking like Saturday or Sunday, eating meat or not, believing in the Rapture. You can certainly talk about such things but dont get into rancorous discussions about things that are just not that important.
  23. I was only just stating their mindset, trying to get into the heads of teenagers. Maybe they thought it was funny to include "definitions" that your average teenager would use, not realising that there is a place for such humor and a study bible is not that place.
  24. A lot of people have a problem with the KJV merely because they cant get past all the thee's, 'thine's thou's and 'ye's.....people in the 1600s didnt talk like that either. Btu the translators recognised that there were times when a strict separation of the singular 'you' and the plural 'you' was necessary. Something which modern English doesnt do but Middle English does.
