  2. ....No. Just asking you to believe a fact like the sun existing in the sky. ....Jesus died for your sins and rose the third day. ....Believe in him, your eternity is secure no matter what.
  3. ok.. as you say, so let it stand in Jesus' Name. Amen. Thanks for your help.
  4. Do you think such secret illegal networks can exist in the U.S.? Of course it won't be a very top notch system but nonetheless, could it happen?
  5. Ephesians 5:6 "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." Matthew 15:9 "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." John 14:17 "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." Ephesians 5:6 "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." Isaiah 41:29 "Behold, they are all vanity;..." Psalm 41:6 "And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself;when he goeth abroad, he telleth it." Matthew 15:9 "But in vain they do .... teach<ing> for doctrines the commandments of men." Proverbs 14:7 "Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge." Jeremiah 46:11 "Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured."
  6. Mark 12:29 "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:" Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:" ------------------------ Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one 'LORD'. Lord: 2962. kurios : God, Lord, master, Sir. : From kuros (supremacy); supreme in authority, i.e. (as noun) controller; by implication, Master (as a respectful title) -- God, Lord, master, Sir. http://biblehub.com/strongs/greek/2962.htm The Lord our God is one Master, Sir. Isaiah 46:9 "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me," Mark 12:32 "And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:" Psalm 11:4 "The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men." Genesis 1:1-2 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
  7. The first example (Judges 19:2) below shows a place where the meaning of the Hebrew is obscure. Was it "4 months" or "a year and four months"??? In which translation does it say a year and four months? The word used in the Hebrew for this verse to signify 'four' is : 702. arba which means "four" http://biblehub.com/strongs/hebrew/702.htm and the Hebrew word to denote 'months' is 2320. chodesh which means monthly, new moon; which is from From chadash; the new moon; by implication, a month -- month(-ly), new moon. http://biblehub.com/strongs/hebrew/2320.htm So for four 'new moons'? And does a new moon occur once a month? Because they did not have the Gregorian nor Julian Calendars back then with the days and weeks and months on paperback format.
  8. I think The Holy Bible does contain all the answers but it is the ones who are of The Holy Bible, believers, scholars, followers, who do not have all the answers. In other words, they have not become proficient to the point to answer all the questions from the Biblical stand point. Which only goes to prove that we can ALL always improve and become 'fuller' and more proficient. And I believe this to be true in any 'sector' in profession. A professional 'card player' can become better and more proficient. A professional Lawyer can become better and more proficient. One thing required for both is application, time, practice, etc.... And even in Church, we are to 'practice' our love one to another..
  9. Thanks... may I ask a question please? You said to 'act justly' means to live in a socially responsible way, upholding the rights of others and safeguarding the weaker....... etc..... May I ask if there are any Biblical verses showing how a Christian is supposed to act and live around non-believers or pagans or heathens or whatever word a person might use to point to non believers?? The reason I ask is because I've been trying to find some but haven't been able to find any. Even the Churches do not address such questions and things...
  10. Sometimes God provides for all things to have one turn and begin hating him.
  11. Is to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God, requiring too much? To do justly, and loving mercy while knowing what 'just' is and walking humbly with God... That sounds like a lucrative career. Almost as a Federal Judge or Supreme Court Justice. But of course loving mercy more than doing justly and visa versa, is being 1 sided for any Court Justice. And so see how God Himself does Justly, loving mercy and walking humbly all the while knowing that the demons and devils and the wicked and the evil doers are walking about also.... If God can't do 'just' while showing mercy and walking humbly with those who ask of Him, how are any others supposed to be 'better' than what He has shown? And so The Name of God is blasphemed. Romans 2:24 "For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written." The Name of God is blasphemed through any because there is no Just doer, no merciful one who walks humbly with God. Not even when asked and begged for such ones in Christ Jesus of Nazareth's Name. Regardless that The Name of God should be held in reverence, if there are no provisions to the righteous but only blasphemies because of the lack of Just, and because of no 'loving' mercy towards the righteous and because noone is humble enough to do Just or have true mercy, why wouldn't there be an outcry within the souls of each righteous ones? And so they slowly begin blaspheming the name of God because of such ones and even because God Himself does not show Himself to be tasteful or Gracious nor Just nor Merciful nor Humble. If God needs specific prayers and requests to be made every single time oppression/evil never stops to cease, then it would seem as silly to continue serving a God who is Righteous. Those who have the means to move out of oppression is 1 thing. There are many who have neither resources nor means to remove themselves out from among continual oppression/evil. And if Church is the next step, Church can be just as oppressive/evil when the words coming from the Pastor are not Scripturally reinforced. When and if women are giving the sermons and when and if the men are not speaking of the oppressions/evils of the days of their own neighborhoods nor addressing any importance of remaining Scriptural, then why even bother thinking those words will help the Christian walk. The christian walk is with the the Good Shepherd, not with a man who has a Title of Pastor or Preacher. The Pastor and Preacher should continually know who they are under as well as reminding the congregation who they are under. And when a Pastor is on the altar as unclean because he/she is ritually unclean due to the emissions of copulation the night before or within the week of her ritual impurity, menstrual cycle, why even bother? They neglect the very Holy Bible which I am supposed to go to get fed from..
  12. What would you call those 2 people who continued to order lunch while the man lay beaten and bloodied on the ground as if he didn't matter? "As the injured man lay on the ground, two customers apparently ordered dinner as if nothing had happened."
  13. I did a little search into the Biblical definition of evil Although the world offers a definition of wicked, dangerous, malicious, etc.. as in the character of a person, the Biblical definition is different. The Biblical definition of evil is anything which causes distress such as: sickness, poverty, stress, loss of job, inability to get around, oppression, getting fired.. such as that.. The Biblical definition is not so much against the character of a person more so than a situation which causes oppression and distress. The Biblical definition of evil is also to do wrong, such as running a red light or not cleaning up the urinals after leaving some droplets seeing that the next user might be distressed at seeing another man's droplets. The term The Bible uses to describe the ones who are malicious, murderous, willfully violent against innocence, and such is the term : wicked. And so just as Christ said, we will all suffer from the 'evils' of each day. But then there are also the evil doers and the wicked who are setting snares, breaking into homes, seeking to destroy, seeking to shed innocent blood. Have you never heard of any persons who deliberately go out into the city at night seeking for a fight or to cause trouble for no reason except it is something to do??? So looking at the verse you posted: " The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth." yes, he might not like to look upon those who 'do' evil, who do oppress, who do distress, who do cause sickness, who do cause unwanted things.. and the wicked, those who are wicked and who practice wickedness: They might be the ones who do murder, who do rape, who do not care for other people, who do sell persons for profits, who do capture for slaves, who do steal, who do rob, who do break in and steal. These works are wicked as well as evil. Receiving a letter from the Electricity Company telling me that my electricity is going to be shut down because I didn't pay my bills can be 'evil' but not 'wicked'. To willfully say 'no' to your mother when asked to do something is, evil. To willfully say 'no' to your mother when asked to do something and then slap her in the face for asking you, is wicked. And so there is a difference. But here is a question.. If a person wanted to choose between 1 or the other, what might one choose to be? Evil or Wicked? Maybe 'both'? Even the world says that everything is a 'choice'. And here is what the world is today. Many persons not caring if they are 'evil', 'wicked' or both. Which leads to willful disobedience to all suggestions which contradict their own desires. Have you seen this by chance? Would you call this evil or wicked?? https://pjmedia.com/video/man-beaten-in-fast-food-joint-after-offering-to-pay-for-meal/ A response to the article "Just another white guy getting the crap beaten out of him by black people. This happens so often every day in America, it's not really news anymore. I suppose he just got his white privilege checked."
  14. HalleluYah! Truly blessed is that man and the son of man that does.
  15. hi... just like any thing else, in order to get 'good' at what you do, you need to spend time and effort in that particular thing. Darwin didn't come up with the Evolution Theory off the top of his head or after waking up one morning. As with Science, his pursuit in trying to understand something needed his time, his efforts, his investigations. Without him personally doing anything but sitting around accepting everything every scientist told him would have led him to never have come up with the theory. In fact he was so interested in the process of life that he investigated to finding the Galapagos Islands which he took a trip to. And so with anything, even Christianity, the more time and effort and research and practice you put into it, the better you will become. And remember that Christianity comes with a text book so you can read on your own time instead of just listening to the teachers.
  16. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/fd/f2/ca/fdf2ca21ee17c380a0975a681d47c833.jpg Of course i am not pointing to His blue eyes or light colored skin.. Many people can draw Him as they think.. But my concern is this... 1 Corinthians 11:7 "For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man." What do you think? Would that be a 'Holy' picture of Christ Jesus?
  17. As a born-again Christian, I understand this to be "In Jesus" and "Not in Jesus". Basically, Christ is the fulfillment of the law, and by not being in Christ, calamity falls upon me. The word seems to be telling me...I dont think I have truly accepted Jesus Christ. Either that, or I did accept him, but for some reason, my heart never changed. How should I understand these verses? ------------------------------------------- Basically all that The Old Testament is doing is asking you to Love The Lord your God.
  18. Basically all The Old Testament is doing is asking you to Love The LORD your God...
  19. Romans 5:14 "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." John 1:17 "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." So since the time from Adam to Moses, there was no repentance of sin or the knowledge of repentance. After Moses, following the Law began and the Law prescribed what was and what was not acceptable to God. And after Christ, came the grace and truth to add to The Law.. which means that grace and Truth was offered. There were now forgiveness without formal sacrifices and there were explanations (truths) so that we could understand The Holy Bible.
  20. predestination: God's appointing on man.. Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Psalm 139:13 "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." So why might anyone think that God does not want them in His Kingdom? It is rejection by the individual that keeps them away from God, not God. Ideas such as predestination and such come from people who focus only on the New Testament with no references to The Old Testament.
  21. following is the wrong word. a better way to word it might be: it is not a burden to do them. And it is a joy to know of them and to apply them given I have the means to do so... It is when i don't have the means, either by not having knowledge to specific details or not being in a place where I have the option between the pure things and the impure things. If I am living in an area that only sells unclean fish but I desire to eat fish, i will not be able to eat fish so I would have to learn of how to rearrange my desires so that I can remain within the 'purity laws' as you put it. And this process can get a little tiring and wearisome. It's like being in a tropical weather when you desire cooler weather. I just have to deal with the tropical weather because I have no choice. As well as dealing with sicknesses and pains and grievances because I have no other option.. And so you might be able to see how it can become wearisome, toilsome and a pain... But still a joy... The rest of the daily evils... well... noone is perfect..
  22. Sounds like a bit like The Day of Pentecost with The Apostles of Christ and everyone hearing their own native tongues, over 3,000 people from all around from surrounding places heard the Gospel being spoken in their native tongues by the Apostles who were of Israel. Acts 2:1-12 http://biblehub.com/kjv/acts/2.htm
  23. it's an awesome thing that you can see what continual darwin teachings would lead to..
  24. Was Jesus stripped completely bare or did they leave on his inner loin garment? I do believe that they had loin garments... Jeremiah 13: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah+13&version=KJV
