May 24,2017 CBS Minnesota MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — There are growing concerns about the arrest of two brothers with ties to the Middle East who authorities say had an arsenal with bomb-making materials, guns and ammunition in their car. Full Story CBS Local Thank God for the good Samaritan that reported these men. God protect him. The brother Majid is released! He's facing low level weapons charges. low level ? There was a hand grenade and bomb making materials in this car! And his brother is still being held on one charge with a 200,000 bail. Which means all that someone has to come up with is 10% with equity to secure the $200,000. One brother is free. Does that mean he can't act alone in Minneapolis? Or wherever their car load of weapons and explosives materials were headed? What is wrong with these officials?

Pew Research Fact Tank JULY 19, 2016 5 facts about the Muslim population in Europe (SIC)"...The latest impending wave of Muslim migrants (al hijrah) comes from the same region (North Africa) as the Manchester mass-murdering Muslim who bombed the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester. And the EU will “not hesitate” to fine member states over migrant quotas. The EU machine is hellbent on the destruction of the continent it ought to serve. Is the command in the Titus scripture made void if he's not a "ruler"? Titus 3:1-2 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Absolutely. What can cause people to arrive at a judgment someone hates that one whom they're speaking of is in how they speak of them. And lack of respect isn't an example of liking someone. Promoting gossip, falsehoods, isn't respect. And it isn't evidence of liking someone either. Some people think hate is a strong word and they are opposed to its use. But when disrespect and promotion of gossip about someone, falsehoods, in order to fracture someones credibility in their job, or their image, occurs is that an example of like and respect? Maybe if someone doesn't like a behavior to be judged as hate that individual actor should maybe not act hatefully. Or disrespectfully, or unkindly toward another by promoting falsehoods and gossip. Just a thought.

We Are Told Not To Question Someone's Faith But...
PlanetChee replied to LadyKay's topic in General Discussion
Just because you wrote it doesn't make it true about Americans. And God help that which thinks American's are wimps because they're not acting insane as Muslims are in dying for Allah. And taking as many innocent people with them as possible in the process. So that American Christians reading of the horror pray for the loss of life. Because in this country we don't have to die to defend our faith. Nor to uphold it as having a right to exist here. Our forefathers and fore-mothers died to give us that inalienable right! Is that enough? If not, that's too bad. Because the first amendment is an inalienable right to be Christian in America. To be Mormon. To be Catholic. To be Hindu. To be Wiccan. To be free to worship anything someone wishes, even Satan himself. We Christians don't have to die for Christ in this free country. Our forefathers and mothers already did that. They weren't wimps. They were patriots. And God knew their name. -
New law will make it legal to kill hibernating bears in Alaska
PlanetChee replied to MorningGlory's topic in U.S. News
How does a bill sponsor defend the cowardice of killing a sleeping bear and her cubs? I'll make my voice heard too. This is absurd. -
That would be a great exercise for hand eye coordination. However, under stress, the adrenaline rush makes for an entirely different neuro-muscular response. If you have a gun range near you like we do here that is owned by a retired police officer, that's a great place to get advice on how to train in high stress situations. Police are highly specialized marksmen as are soldiers. There's a huge difference between cold practice and adrenaline fueled reality.

Arkansas woman to be banned from Walmart for racist remarks - what?
PlanetChee replied to MorningGlory's topic in U.S. News
One nation under surveillance. She was in the over the counter medicine aisle. I can't judge her as a person being she could have been in incredible pain and wasn't thinking straight. But that this woman thought to take out her cell phone and capture the incident says a lot about what we're becoming as a society. Our brothers peeper. I don't think Walmart can enforce this ban on a national level, being the report claims every store will be off limits if they identify this woman. But I think with a good lawyer should she be found she may have a chance at defending herself. Plus, we don't know her side of what happened to cause her reaction. We have one side that started filming once the reaction started. Obscuring her , if any, responsibility for this incident. -
A shot to the groin or the face is a really effective deterrent with small arms. Head shots are difficult under stress if not use to targeting small range areas. But shoot in the groin or in the inner thigh area where the femoral artery is, and your good. They'll bleed to death for loss of blood from that artery.

Responsible gun owners rarely make the news. The media hopes to craft the image of crazy people with guns so guns can't be trusted with people, using the worse examples that are allowed to make the news. Responsible gun owners carrying concealed will deter crime. Can you imagine a terrorist just starting with their salutation to Allah before pushing a button on a hidden explosive being shot dead? Explosives don't detonate. Innocent lives don't blow apart around him or her. And it sends a message to the cell that were looking for their buddy to make martyrdom status in the news. Enormous fail instead! Thanks to an infidel who was a crack shot. And happened to have a ham sandwich in their backpack that they put down the dead guys throat so as to send the message to that cell that with contact with forbidden meat their buddy didn't enter paradise after all even when killed in Jihad mode. Dear God, thank you for pigs and Muslim superstition that makes swine a weapon too.

Do You Ever Question Your (or Someone Else's) Salvation? Cindi McMenamin Author -
I know what you mean. I check my library to see what they have. And they have a loan program that borrows from libraries around the country if a patron requests. You might check the books you like at Christian audiobooks and see if the library near you has a copy. Or can borrow from another donor.

We Are Told Not To Question Someone's Faith But...
PlanetChee replied to LadyKay's topic in General Discussion
If we are to question someone's faith I don't think it would be against the rules here to do that to one another. Or to those who are our leaders or public figures. James 4:11-12 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor? -

How did Jesus Christ behave? Everyone of us is less than able to stand side by side with his perfection. Are we to boast ourselves greater than he when we think to ask how fit, qualified, anointed, we are to judge the sons and daughters of his Father? Look to the example set by that which asks why can I not judge you? And by that standard example shall they be judged. All of us qualified for being weighed and measured by what? Others ideal? Are they living that? When they think to judge another? How did Jesus Christ behave? When we say we are Christ-like=Christian, are we upholding a name of a savior? Or a standard for ourselves? -
British authorities warn of 'damage' to investigation from leaks
PlanetChee replied to SavedByGrace1980's topic in World News
The enemy is everywhere. Lending to leaks in Britain, in America and to sabotage our government and President. Technology just gives the enemy of Christ one more weapon to use against righteousness and decency. Very dark times we live in. -
I know. I wish more authors would have that format available.

An innocent child - heaven or hell?
PlanetChee replied to FollowerOfTheWay's topic in General Discussion
Yes, that last paragraph of your response is copied but not credited to Got Questions. While this that you omitted I believe explains a lot. Many Christians who practice infant baptism do so because they understand infant baptism as the new covenant equivalent of circumcision. In this view, just as circumcision joined a Hebrew to the Abrahamic and Mosaic covenants, so baptism joined a person to the New Covenant of salvation through Jesus Christ. This view is unbiblical. The New Testament nowhere describes baptism as the New Covenant replacement for Old Covenant circumcision. The New Testament nowhere describes baptism as a sign of the New Covenant. It is faith in Jesus Christ that enables a person to enjoy the blessings of the New Covenant (1 Corinthians 11:25; 2 Corinthians 3:6; Hebrews 9:15). Question: "What does the Bible say about infant baptism / paedobaptism?" -

I've not encountered anyone who thinks the Pope represents any but the Catholic members of the Roman Catholic church. I have met Catholics who, when referred to as Christians, correct the speaker with, "I'm not Christian, I'm Catholic."

I don't think it appropriate for a Christian to play the victim. You were wrong about Trump and John the Baptist and Harod. Sticking with scripture is noble. Being wrong about scripture and not accepting correction is not.

I liked The Case for Christ. It is also in DVD form and audiobook. Which is great if you travel a lot as something to listen to on the road. I journeyed from Canada down the east coast that way and the miles flew by.
