    Veterans Day

A little late, but I thank you, too!
  2. Hi Nebula! Thanx, I can always count on you to fill me in!
  3. That's sad. I don't like to here about folks being alone for the holidays! That must be pretty depressing for him. You obviously can't help how the other relatives feel about your brother, but that doesn't stop you from visiting him! It might be best to just spend time with him separately, at least that's what I'd do... But then I'm the type that would do just about anything to avoid ruffling any feathers. Good luck, I'll pray for you & your family!
  4. What happened to the "quote" feature? I meant to quote AT, and somehow quoted myself! OOPS
  5. Ok folks, I'm a latecomer to this thread. Somebody please help me out. Is this thing from that "holy Observer" alone, or did Dan Rather actually report it? I mean, I know his reputation is a little shaky here of late, but this???????????
  6. Hi Heather, glad to meet ya! I haven't been on for a while, and just wanted to introduce myself. God Bless!
  7. Yep, both Joey and George have gone on to their "rewards". This thread is starting to make me sad. The Beatles and The Ramones were two of my favorite bands.(NOT FOR THE POLITICS< JUST THE MUSIC) I did hear that Alice Cooper is saved,so that's pretty cool.....still to hear George sing "You Are The One" to the One True God would have been a beautiful thing!
  8. Hey Joel! Welcome to Worthy Boards! It seems as if alot of us have experienced this kind of stuff! It happened to me, and when my son was in PS it happened to him, too. Your story actually reminds me of something that happened to my son. There was a "mean" girl in his class too, and everyone really liked her, and wanted to be her friend. You're right, it IS strange that everyone would want the friendship of someone who doesn't really know how to be a friend. My advise is to pray, talk to your parents, and just try to be as friendly at school as you are on here! I'm sure it won't be long until you have more friends than you can handle! I'll be praying that God would provide you with good , fun friends who really love Lord. I hope it all works out, buddy! Keep us posted!
  9. Hey Ericka! Give us an update. How's it going? How did you handle this situation? God bless you girl. We're praying for you! :t:
  10. you noticed that too, huh?
  11. * Edited out quote box * BJ, I know from experience that Dr. Luke gives good advice. I'm praying for you.
  12. Congratulations unbeaten! You took a stand for your faith, now expect a blessing! That must have really been hard to do! I'm sure that you're frightened. But you did the right thing!I admire your courage. You broke the cycle. I know God's proud of ya. I'm sure it will be hard at times, but I trust that you'll live up to your name! And The Lord will not let you down. If you'd ever like to talk, pm me- I'd love to hear from you.
  13. Hi Steve, The tricky part of all this is that you can't really "know" there's an afterlife until after you accept Christ. You can speculate, imagine, hope for, or fear one, but until you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it doesn't really mean much. You don't get "peace" about this stuff until you come to Him.But after you do, you'll be sure there's a heaven to hope for , and a hell to avoid, because you'll trust The Master, and believe what He tells you in His Word!
  14. I used to feel that way too, Steve. But if Jesus can save people like my husband and I, He can save anyone! It doesn't matter what you've done, or who you've been, because when you accept Christ, you truly are a new creation! The old things don't apply to you anymore! God bless you Steve.
  15. Let me see... rice is always good, and you can do a million things with it!
  16. It sounds like your "friend" is being pretty mean, and bitter. You don't have to play into it Ericka. Rise above it.
  17. Hi wordsower, Wow.. my heart is breaking for you and your kids. My very best friend is going through the same thing you are. Alot of the details are the same. Childhood neglect and abuse, the drug use, irresponsibility, jealousy of church and her relationship with God. Really sad stuff. His drug abuse caused him to loose a very good job that it took him 7 years of college to get, and then he abandoned my friend and their 2 girls to fend for themselves. I don't know how to advise you about your relationship with your husband, but I know that drug users are emotionally unstable, and unpredictable in every way, so I'd suggest that you go ahead and get your old job back for you and the kids' sake. You may also want to link up with an alanon group in your area. As I pray for my friend, I'll be praying for you! If you'd like to talk, PM me. God bless you!
  18. Hi Jaqueline! You've already done everything that you need to do to get the answer to your question. 1. You've read your Bible. and 2. You believe what your Bible says! I'm sorry for your pastor, and will pray for him. YES Jesus gave us authority to do so many things in His Name, healing is one of them. You just keep reading your Bible and believing what it says.
  19. As Christians, we submit to a Higher Authority than our own free will.
  20. Is this girl's dad in the picture? It may be that she's looking for a "daddy" to help with unfinished business...
  21. Just thought I'd let you know where to find it!
  22. Hi Wix. Look in Absolutely Positive, I think this might be the kind of thing you're looking for.
  23. I'm so sorry to get off topic here for a minute folks, but did you guys look at Obey's avatar? ROFL!!!!!! Good advice everyone.
