  1. Gotta love this Psalm! It proves (over and over and over again) that we should obey TORAH! So let's OBEY! blessings...
  2. Sin is TORAH-DISOBEDIENCE (Rom.3:20;7:7). STOP SINNING (1Cor.15:34) means OBEY TORAH!
  3. "Mercy Trumps Law." OOPS! MERCY and LAW coexist (Ex.20:6) "Did Jesus help Stone the Woman caught in the very act of Adultery?" That's not proper Torah protocol. And, Jn. 8 is a textual variant, not even appearing in many Greek manuscripts.... "Do you kill your Children when they show disrespect ?" We are still in diaspora (as in Jas.1:1)...thus much Torah is not observable while in diaspora. Don't worry! We WILL again obey 100% of all Torah (Dt.30:1-8). Moses did not lie. Dt. 30:1-8 WILL happen.....otherwise Moses is a false prophet. "Lets pray that God extends His Mercy to ModernDay Judaizers......" Agreed! Judaizers are BAD. Judaizers seek salvation by works without faith....and that's BAD. So be justified by WORKS (Jas.2:24) and FAITH (Rom.5:1) TOGETHER. Not law alone (Gal.5:4-5). Not faith alone (Jas.2:24). But BOTH. TOGETHER. ".Lets hope “ fallen from Grace” and “ severed from the Cross” and being caught in “ Unbelief” does not mean an Eternity in Hell" That IS the danger....so do NOT fall from grace! This means you should NOT seek justification by law WITHOUT FAITH (Gal.5:4-5). Do NOT be severed from the Cross of Christ (who commands all Torah, Mt.5:19). Do NOT be cause in "unbelief". BELIEVE (Ge.15:6) and OBEY (Ge.26:5)....just like our father Abraham. Walk by FAITH (2Cor.5:7) and in WORKS (Eph.2:10). Be justified by WORKS (Jas.2:24) and FAITH (Rom.5:1). BOTH. TOGETHER. And DO NOT DISOBEY TORAH! Otherwise hell is a risk (Mt. 13:41-42). blessings...
  4. FULFILLED does not prove ABOLISHED (otherwise Mt.5:17 is a self-contradiction!) So FULFILLED doesn't help your case. "After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now ACCOMPLISHED, that the TORAH might be fulfilled" FULFILLED does not mean ABOLISHED. You haven't helped your case. Moreover, NOT EVERYTHING IN TORAH is fulfilled! Dt. 30:1-8 is yet FUTURE. So again, ALL Torah is still in force (given Mt. 5:18) because Dt. 30:1-8 is NOT yet accomplished. Try again! "we could not keep or fulfill the TORAH (Law and Commandments)" Sure we can! Moses said it is NOT too difficult (Dt.30:11). Luke said that all Torah CAN be obeyed (Lk.1:6). Jesus said Mt. 5:19 is EASY! (Mt.11:30). "RESCUE US FROM IT so that we could be accepted by Him. " Wrong. Jesus saves us from our SINS (Mt.1:21), not from the TORAH! TORAH passes directly into the New Covenant (Jer.31:33). That's why we should OBEY! "which ABOLISHED THE TORAH, WITH RESPECT TO KEEPING LAWS AND COMMANDMENTS" WRONG. Eph.2:15 abolishes "δόγμα", not TORAH. The Greek word for Torah is "νόμος", not "δόγμα". Try again! " And in their place, He has created a NEW TESTAMENT, a "BETTER COVENANT"..." OOPS! TORAH passes directly into this NEW COVENANT (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16). NEW Covenant (Jer.31:31;Heb.8:8). SAME TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16). So OBEY! "It is the "law of GRACE".." Grace is given to the HUMBLE (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34;1Pe.5:5). HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ps.25:9;Zep.2;3;Ex.33:13). So BE HUMBLE (1Pe.5:6) means OBEY TORAH! ""Law, TORAH.......came by MOSES.......but GRACE AND TRUTH, (New Covenant), = CAME BY JESUS" That's only half the story! TORAH is also TRUTH (Ps.119:142). Grace is given to the HUMBLE (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34;1Pe.5:5). HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ps.25:9;Zep.2;3;Ex.33:13). So BE HUMBLE (1Pe.5:6) means OBEY TORAH! Jesus requires ALL TORAH (Mt.4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (given Mt.28:19-20). So OBEY! "He fulfilled all the requirements of the TORAH, in our Place, for our sake, " Yes. "and now we dont have to do it." NO. Jesus obeyed Torah, so we should TOO (Lk.6:40;1Jn.2:6), or else you are a liar (1Jn.2:4). "the Law and Commandments (Torah), then it was REPLACED by the NEW COVENANT..." Don't be silly. The SAME TORAH ("תּוֹרָה" Jer. 31:33) passes into the New Covenant. Jeremiah did not lie. "NEW TESTAMENT. GRACE... " New Covenant: TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16). After all, GRACE and TORAH go TOGETHER (Ex.33:13). "HE'S THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE TORAH....." No REPLACEMENT....you just made that up. "He wrote the NEW COVENANT in His Own BLOOD. " Lk.22:20 confirms He inaugurates the New Covenant in His Blood. And the New Covenant is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33). So obey! "we the born again, are "freed from the curse of the TORAH"" Exactly! We are free from the CURSE....not free from the Torah itself! Torah is not a curse! Torah is a BLESSING for those who obey (Dt.30:15-19)....and we OBEY God (Ac.5:32) who requires TORAH (Dt.1:3;5:27-33)...so OBEY TORAH! After all, Paul APPLIES Dt. 30 to you (Rom.10:8)....so OBEY! "JESUS is the NEW Covenant" No. Jesus is the MEDIATOR of the Covenant (Heb.8:6). "HE'S THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE TORAH.." No replacement. You just made that up. "The 2 commandments that Jesus gave, are not to be kept" WHAT? Of COURSE we should keep ALL Jesus' commandments (Jn.14:15), otherwise we don't love Him. And Jesus commands ALL Torah (Mt.5:19;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (given Mt. 28:19-20). So obey ALL Torah, to the extent possible in our present diaspora. "so that you keep yourself out of Heaven if you dont keep them." If you don't have eternal life, then you did NOT OBEY TORAH (Lk.10:25-28). Another good reason to OBEY! "They are simply a part of the New Testament, related to Discipleship......not RELATE TO LAW ." Torah requires obedience to Jesus (Dt.18:15) who requires obedience to TORAH (Mt.5:19), and Jesus requires obedience to ALL HIS COMMANDS (Jn.14:15), so Jesus' commands regarding discipleship are an extension of TORAH. Jesus IS the very substance of Torah (Col.2:17;Jn.1:14)....so OF COURSE we should obey! IF you are His disciple, then you CONTINUE in His word (Jn.8:31) which requires TORAH (Mt. 4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20). So OBEY! blessings...
  5. Yes, divine order is invoked (1Cor.11:3)...but that doesn't prove that additional considerations unique to that context (but distinct from ours) are not also at play. For example, if many of the 1st-century assemblies were SYNAOGUGES....then the whole female-head-covering issue may be a contextually-unique-to-synagogues consideration.... After all, James assumes that believers are meeting in SYNAGOGUES ("συναγωγή", Jas.2:2), whereas the VAST majority of Christians, today, do NOT meet in synagogues. That's another reason why the female-head-covering issue might not apply to today's non-synagogue churches. "Perhaps one of the functions of these Angelic beings is to attend services if they so desire where groups of Christians are gathered for (corporate worship). We concluded that they might be reporting back what they see. I personally believe they are present in corporate worship." Actually, Timothy Alberino set forth the interesting possibility that women should cover their heads because FALLEN angels are inclined to be attracted to FEMALE BEAUTY (Ge.6:2ff)....and we don't want to encourage another fallen-angel incursion! (although, the return of the Nephilim appears Scriptural anyway....but hey, we don't want to hasten that awful forthcoming episode...) "They seem to be very curious according to 1 Peter 1:12." Yes, 1Pe.1:12 makes me think that angels have their own "worthyangelforums.com" equivalent in the heavenlies....where they consult with one another, seeking to understand and know ever more deeply the things of God! blessings...
  6. PAUL required the DEATH PENALTY for sexual sin (1Cor.5:5). Do you oppose Paul?
  7. OOPS! We are still in DIASPORA (as in Jas.1:1) living in foreign governments whose civil laws do NOT uphold Torah..... So sorry....most countries forbid Lev.20:13 presently.... But don't worry! Moses PROMISED that we will again obey 100% of Torah AFTER we return to inherit the land promised to us (Dt.30:1-8) Until then, we do what we can.... Ok! Try again! This is fun! blessings...
  8. But we need to consider the context of that time as well.... I mean.... What do we do with 1Pe.5:14? Are we sinning if we don't KISS others? Or are we allowed to consider the CONTEXT of that time, as it's obviously DIFFERENT than ours? But then, how do we make sure we don't "explain away" things which SHOULD apply to us? We must be careful here....
  9. Hi there! It's because you've misunderstood the passages....be encouraged! The Bible is true! ""Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes." Matthew 10:23" COMES to do what? There are multiple COMINGS...remember? Jesus COMES to give His life (Mk.10:45). Jesus COMES to be betrayed (Mk.14:41). Jesus COMES with the angels in glory (Lk.9:26). Jesus COMES to save the lost (Lk.19:10). Jesus COMES to be glorified (Jn.12:23). So Mt. 10:23 obviously does NOT refer to Lk.9:26! It refers to the OTHER comings... Lk. 9:26 is obviously still FUTURE. ""Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” Matthew 16:28 Sometimes people have visions....look at John (Rev.1:7). John had the vision BEFORE it actually happened....after all, it still hasn't happened! And, those in Christ do NOT DIE (Jn.11:26)...so OF COURSE some will not die before they see the Son of Mon coming....because they will NEVER DIE (Jn.11:26). ""Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened." Matthew 24:34" The Greek "γενεά" also means RACE or NATION or TIME.....not always GENERATION. So again, you've simply got the wrong interpretation. Relax! The Bible is true.... You're good! blessings...
  10. Hi there! Lots of great points in there! I'd thought I'd chat about something, though: The LAND-PROMISE. So let's see here....you wrote this: "Land is not a part of the new covenant ." However, in the New Covenant, we all obey TORAH (Jer.31:33).... AND! We all obey Torah when we return to inherit the land promised to us (Dt.30:1-8). This confirms that the LAND-PROMISE is linked to the NEW COVENANT. Again, Paul affirms that all believers SHARE IN THE INHERITANCE (Gal.3:29).....that's the same LAND INHERITANCE promised to Abraham. Jesus agrees that His disciples will inherit the promised land (Mt.5:5). So, I just wanted to encourage you to realize that we DO share in the land promised to us, as Israelites in Christ. ".spiritual people inherit a spiritual or heavenly land the unseen." TORAH is spiritual (Rom.7:14). TORAH promises a PHYSICAL LAND INHERITANCE (Dt.30:1-8). So the "spiritual or physical" is a false dichotomy.....we share in BOTH! We have PHYSICAL bodies too....and Abraham WILL inherit the PHYSICAL land promised to him......otherwise God was a liar. ALL of us Israelites will inherit the PHYSICAL land promised to us....otherwise God was a liar. After all, Dt. 30:1-8 is yet FUTURE. It has NOT yet happened. And it WILL happen...otherwise Moses is a false prophet. Thus, we WILL again return to inherit the land and again obey 100% of all Torah (Dt. 30:1-8). And, since this same Torah passes into the NEW Covenant (Jer.31:33).....that's the link between New Covenant and the LAND! We will obey 100% of ALL Torah (Jer.31:33) WHEN we return to inherit the land promised to us (Dt.30:1-8). " Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world. " That's because Jesus has not yet returned to this PHYSICAL WORLD to set up His kingdom....but He will! And He will rule the nations of this PHYSICAL WORLD (Ps.2:8-9). Jesus will return to rule Israel IN THE PHYSICAL LAND (Jer.23:5). Jesus will return to restore the animal sacrifices IN THE PHYSICAL TEMPLE (Mal.3:4;Zec.6;Eze.40-47). "their is no distinction between Jews and gentiles anymore" Rather, Paul is STILL A JEW (not a Gentile). Ac.21:39. Ac. 22:3. "we're Israel if we believe in him " Yes! That's right! And Israelites obey TORAH (Mal.4:4). Israelites inherit the PROMISED PHYSICAL LAND (Dt.30:1-8;Eze.36:24;Eze.37:12-14,21-22,25). Jesus will come to fulfill the Davidic Covenant, which includes restoration of LEVITICAL SACRIFICIAL ACTIVITY (Jer.33:18-22)....that's PHYSICAL activity in the PHYSICAL TEMPLE in the PHYSICAL LAND. THIS is our great inheritance in the PHYSICAL land promised to us and our descendants! "I read that Judaism was made obsolete at the destruction of the temple." BIBLICAL Christianity IS a Judaism (Ac.24:5,14;28:22)....and it's not obsolete. "because its impossible to still observe the old testament religion after the temple was destroyed " Don't worry! WE will again obey 100% of all Torah, WHEN we return to inherit the PHYSICAL land promised to us as Israelites (Dt.30:1-8). But, we are still in diaspora (as in Jas.1:1)....so, we do what we can.... "The flesh cannot glory in decendence" Exactly! blessings....
  11. OOPS! Paul requires that we KEEP GOD'S COMMANDS (1Cor.7:192Ti.3:16)..... Not IGNORE GOD'S COMMANDS! Try again....
  12. "Speaking only for myself......I disobey every hour of every day" I truly doubt that, BB! And if that were really true, then 1 Ti.5:20 requires that we PUBLICLY REBUKE YOU (1Ti.5:20). But I REALLY doubt that you sin every hour of the day.... You're probably just being too hard on yourself. And Torah requires BLAMELESSNESS/PERFECTION (Mt.5:48 citing Dt.18:13), NOT sinlessness. Torah EXPECTS you to sin! That's the purpose of the Torah SIN OFFERING (" חַטָּאָת "), to ATONE for the sin. And you CAN obey all Torah (Dt.30:11). Moses did not lie. You CAN obey all Torah (Lk.1:6). Luke did not lie. You CAN obey all Torah (Mt.5:19). Jesus said it's easy! (Mt.11:30). So OBEY! "For the Blind Guides That espouse a “ weak” and “ useless” Torah" Rather, BLIND GUIDES DISOBEY TORAH (Mt.23:23-24), so OBEY! "the Grace of God , which is the Biblical Way to get to Heaven" And GRACE is given to the HUMBLE (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34). HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3;Ex.33:13;Nu.12:3). BE HUMBLE (1Pe.5:6) means OBEY TORAH! So OBEY! After all, ETERNAL LIFE is promised to those who OBEY (Lk.10:25-28). SO OBEY! "and choose to try to “ justify” yourself with your Delusional Law-Keeping Fantasy" PAUL said we who do the law will be JUSTIFIED (Rom.2:13). Paul was NOT "delusional". "the Law was given to show you that you can’t keep it" You CAN keep the law (1Cor.7:19). Paul was not joking! You CAN keep the law (Dt.30:11). Moses did not lie! You CAN keep the law (Lk.1:6). Luke did not lie! " this “ imputed Righteousness is the ONLY Righteousness you will ever know and it is the ONLY one God cares about" RIGHTEOUSNESS is also something we DO (1Jn.2:29;3:7) or else you are a child of the devil (1Jn.3:10) who will NOT inherit the forthcoming kingdom (Mt.5:20). So DO TORAH-OBEDIENT RIGHTEOUSNESS (2Ti.3:16;Dt.6:5,25). After all, Jesus APPLIES Dt. 6:5,25 to you (Mt. 22:37). So OBEY! "you need Jesus" Jesus requires TORAH (Mt.4:4;5:19-20,48;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). "the Standard for your pitiful performance is PERFECTION......how’s “ that” working for you?" Jesus says his yoke (Mt.5:19,48) is EASY (Mt.11:30). So it's easy! "I hope Newbies are not mislead by the subtle , Non-Biblical erroneous “ Leaven” of The Modern Judaizers here....... " AGREED! JUDAIZERS tell you to be saved by works without faith. And that's REALLY bad. That's why Paul requires TORAH (Rom.2:13) AND FAITH (Rom.5:1) for justification. NOT law alone (Gal.5:4-5). NOT faith alone (says Jas.2:24). But BOTH law AND faith. Both. Together. That's why Paul cites Dt. 30:14 as the very SUBSTANCE of the faith he preaches in Rom.10:8: TORAH-OBEDIENT FAITH! "Christ is the END OF THE LAW ( Torah) for Righteousness" Christ is the PURPOSE/GOAL/AIM of Torah. (That's what " τέλος " means in Rom.10:4: PURPOSE/GOAL/AIM, not TERMINATION. Same thing for "τέλος " throughout much of the rest of Scripture). So Christ is the PURPOSE of Torah. And Christ points us to OBEY Torah! (Mt.4:4;5:19-20,48;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). So OBEY! After all, just four verses later, Paul tells us that TORAH-OBEDIENCE is the very word of faith Paul preaches (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). SO OBEY! "REST in the Gospel Of Grace. " And GRACE is given to the HUMBLE (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34;1Pe.5:5). And HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ex.33:13;Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3). So BE HUMBLE (1Pe.5:6) means OBEY TORAH. So OBEY! "1cor15:1-4" RIGHT! You are saved by the Gospel IF YOU HOLD FAST TO THE WORD PAUL PREAHCES (1Cor.15:1-4) which is FAITHFUL TORAH-OBEDIENCE (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). So OBEY and so remain SAVED! "Add to it with works of the Torah and you will “ fall from Grace”" Obey Torah and prove your LOVE (1Jn.5:3;Dt.6:5,25;Jn.14:15 + Mt.5:19). Do WORKS and be justified (Jas.2:24). WALK IN WORKS (Eph.2:10). And GRACE is given to the HUMBLE (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34;1Pe.5:5). And HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ex.33:13;Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3). So BE HUMBLE (1Pe.5:6) means OBEY TORAH. And "fallen from grace" (Gal.5:4-5) refers to those who obey Torah WITHOUT FAITH. So do both! OBEY TORAH (Rom.2:13) AND have faith (Rom.5:1). Walk by faith (2Cor.5:7) AND in works (Eph.2:10). BOTH. TOGETHER. Not law alone (Gal.5:4-5). Not faith alone (Jas.2:24). But BOTH. TOGETHER. "Read all about it in Gal. 5" Ok! Let's check it out.... 1. Gal. 5:1 affirms freedom in Christ. So, Christ (who requires all Torah, Mt.5:19) gives us freedom to obey all Torah. 2. Gal. 5:1 opposes slavery (which is observance of pagan rituals, Gal.4:8-10). 3. Gal.5:2 opposes adult-male-Gentile-convert circumcision (because Torah does not require it...and because it would deny the proper role of faith in Christ). 4. Gal. 5:3 If you want to play the "obey all Torah without faith in Christ" game, then you must obey ALL Torah flawlessly, which nobody does (Rom.3:23). Bad game! 5. Gal. 5:4 We are not justified by law without Christ. Rather, we are justified by law (Rom.2:13)+faith (Rom.5:1) TOGETHER. 6. Gal. 5:5 affirms the Spirit who testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Is.59:20-21) "from now and forever". 7. Gal. 5:6 affirms that adult-male-Gentile-convert circumcision (or uncircumcision) is irrelevant. After all, Pro-Torah Paul knows that Torah does not require it! 8. Gal. 5:7 affirms we should obey truth. TORAH is truth (Ps.119:142). 9. Gal. 5:11 Paul OPPOSES faithless works of circumcision to attain God's favor or blessing in Christ. 10. Gal. 5:13 requires that we SERVE. And Paul models that we should serve TORAH (Rom.7:25). 11. Gal. 5:14 Love fulfills (not replaces!) Torah. After all, Lev. 19:18, in context, requires that we REBUKE sinners (Lev.19:17). So Paul says Torah should REBUKE and CORRECT and TRAIN your behavior (2Ti.3:16). 12. Gal. 5:16 affirms the Spirit who testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21). 13. Gal. 5:16 OPPOSES the flesh. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). So OBEY Torah! 14. Gal. 5:17 requires the SPIRIT against the FLESH. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). The Spirit helps us to STOP DISOBEYING IN THE FLESH (Rom.8:13). 15. Gal. 5:18 affirms the Spirit (who testifies we obey Torah Heb. 10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Is.59:20-21). 16. Gal. 5:18 says we are not under the law. "Under the law" refers to being "without faith", given Gal. 3:23. Thus, Paul requires Torah(Rom.2:13) AND faith (Rom.5:1), TOGETHER. 17. Gal. 5:19 confirms the flesh is bad. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). We should NOT be in the flesh (Rom.8:13). So we should OBEY Torah! 18. Gal. 5:22 affirms LOVE. Love requires TORAH (1Jn.5:3;Dt.6:5,25). 19. Gal. 5:22 affirms PEACE. We have great PEACE if we obey TORAH (Ps.119:165). 20. Gal. 5:22 affirms FAITH. Faith is of Torah (Mt.23:23;Ps.119:30,86,138;Dt.32:20). 21. Gal. 5:22 affirms JOY. Our joy is in TORAH (Ps.119:162). 22. Gal. 5:22 affirms GOODNESS. Torah is good (Rom.7:12). 23. Gal. 5:24 affirms Christ (who requires all Torah, Mt.5:19). 24. Gal. 5:24 opposes the flesh (which disobeys Torah, Rom.8:7). So STOP disobeying Torah! Obey! 25. Gal. 5:25 affirms the Spirit who testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21). Cool! Thanks for giving us another 25 reasons to obey Torah! These are encouraging words. "Follow the Legalists and this is what you will get" Do NOT follow the Legalists...because Legalism is BAD. Legalism is seeking justification/salvation by works WITHOUT FAITH. That's bad. Scripture requires FAITH (Ge.15:6) AND OBEDIENCE (Ge.26:5). FAITH (Rom.2:13) AND LAW (Jas.2:24). FAITH AND LAW (Rom.3:27). FAITHFUL TORAH-OBEDIENCE (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). FAITH AND LAW (Mt.23:23;Dt.32:20;Ps.119:30,86,138). FAITHFUL OBEDIENCE (Rom.1:5). FAITHFUL OBEDIENCE (Rom.16:26). Faith (2Cor.5:7) and works (Eph.2:10). BOTH. TOGETHER. "some believe these two scary descriptions pertain to those that are Lost. Why gamble?" GREAT point! Why risk the SCARY consequences of DISOBEYING TORAH? (Mt.5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42). So OBEY! "Pray to God" Yes! And the PSALMS are prayers (Ps.72:20) and Psalms require TORAH (e.g., Ps. 1;19;119) and Psalms are REQUIRED (Eph.5:19;Col.3:16). So offer TORAH-OBEDIENT prayers to God! Otherwise, God won't even hear your prayers (Pr.28:9). And Paul and Peter uphold the Proverbs too....so Pr.28:9 applies to you too! "He show you how to REST in the Gospel Of Grace" Excellent. We are saved by the gospel IF WE HOLD FAST TO THE WORD PAUL PREACHED (1Cor.15:1-4), which is the word of FAITHFUL TORAH-OBEDIENCE (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). And GRACE is given to the HUMBLE (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34;1Pe.5:5). And HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ex.33:13;Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3). So BE HUMBLE (1Pe.5:6) means OBEY TORAH. So REST in the Torah-obedient Gospel of Grace. "If you refuse that Command Of God, you will be in an even MORE scary state— the State Of UNBELIEF" Yikes! We must therefore BELIEVE (Ge.15:6) and OBEY (Ge.26:5)...just like our father Abraham. Let's BELIEVE (Jn.3:16) and OBEY (Jn.14:15) all Torah (Mt.5:19), as Jesus requires. Let's have FAITH as Paul requires (citing " אֱמוּנָה " from Hab.2:4 at Gal.3:11). And what is this way of " אֱמוּנָה " by which Paul says we must live? Answer: TORAH! (see " אֱמוּנָה " in Ps.119:30,86,138 for proof). "now THAT is REAL Scary! ( Heb 4 )" True! Heb. 4:7 tells us to HEAR GOD'S VOICE. And those who obey God's voice are those who OBEY TORAH (Dt.13:4,18;15:5;26:17;30:20). Heb. 4:11 tells us to NOT DISOBEY TORAH as happened before. So OBEY! Heb. 4:12 upholds the WORD OF GOD which includes TORAH (Dt.1:3;5:27-33). So OBEY! Heb. 4:14 upholds JESUS who requires all TORAH (Mt.5:19) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20). So OBEY! Heb. 4:16 upholds GRACE. GRACE is given to the HUMBLE (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34;1Pe.5:5). And HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ex.33:13;Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3). So BE HUMBLE (1Pe.5:6) means OBEY TORAH. Heb. 4:16 upholds MERCY. MERCY is given to those who obey TORAH (Ex. 20:6). So OBEY! Wow...that's another 6 reasons to obey Torah. These are encouraging words. Thank you.
  13. Haha! Then 1Cor.7:19 is a self-contradiction! That's why you're WRONG. Torah does NOT require adult-male-Gentile-convert circumcision. The ongoing mark is for INFANTS (Lev.12:3;Ge.17:12), NOT adult-male-Gentile-converts. Try again! (this is fun!) blessings...
  14. 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine "It was a misunderstanding of scripture. " 13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. "saints are free from the Law. " 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. "If a saint backslides, they backslide into the Law. " 6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Thus backsliders do NOT OBEY THE LAW. "Dont backslide" 3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. Obey the gospel. The O.T. was your schoolmaster to bring you to Christ. Time to graduate from the Law. MY RESPONSE: Of COURSE prohibitive laws are not for a righteous man (1Ti.1:9)! Because a righteous man is ALREADY OBEYING TORAH! (Dt.6:25;2Ti.3:16;Mt.5:20) So be righteous and OBEY! After all, that SAME PAUL requires ALL TORAH (2Ti.3:16). So OBEY! That SAME PAUL condones a vow to prove he "walks orderly according to the law" (Ac.21); so IMITATE Paul's Torah-obedient model (1Cor.11:1;Php.4:9). Paul affirms the New Covenant includes Torah being obeyed "from now and forever" (citing Is.59:20-21 at Rom.11:26-27). Paul says we are justified by law (Rom.2:13). Paul upholds the New Covenant (1Cor.11) which is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33). Paul says you are saved IF YOU HOLD FAST TO THE WORD HE PREACHES (1Cor.15:1-4) which is FAITHFUL TORAH-OBEDIENCE (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). So OBEY! The OLD COVENANT (2Cor.3:14;Heb.8:13) fades away...NOT TORAH! The SAME TORAH OF MOSES passes into the NEW Covenant (Jer.31:33), or else Jeremiah is a false prophet (Dt.13:1-5). NEW Covenant (Jer.31:31;Heb.8:8). SAME TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16). So OBEY! Saints are not free from law....they are free to OBEY ALL TORAH (Mt.5:19) as required for ALL disciples of ALL nations (given Mt.28:19-20). Disciples CONTINUE in Jesus' words (Jn.8:31) which include ALL TORAH (Mt.5:19). So OBEY! James 2:10? Good point! So OBEY! Otherwise you're guilty of disobeying it all! We are delivered from WHAT LAW (Rom.7:6)? We are delivered from the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH (Rom.8:2)....NOT from the law of OBEDIENCE (2Ti.3:16;1Jn.5:3;Jn.14:15 + Mt.5:19) and LIFE (Mt.4:4;Dt.8:3;30:15-19;32:47). After all, Paul APPLIES Dt. 30 to you (Rom.10:8). So OBEY! The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life! So do NOT obey Torah without the Spirit...but obey Torah IN THE SPIRIT! We serve in the Spirit (Rom.7:6). Serve what? TORAH! (Rom.7:25)......NOT in the oldness of the letter without the Spirit.... So OBEY Torah in the SPIRIT! After all, the Spirit testifies that you obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21), even ALL Torah ordinances (Eze.36:27). Jesus' words are SPIRIT (Jn.6:63) and they include Mt.5:19. So OBEY Mt.5:19 (Torah) in the Spirit! Obey the GOSPEL by which you are saved, IF YOU HOLD FAST TO THE WORD PAUL PREACHES (1Cor.15:1-4), which is FAITHFUL TORAH-OBEDIENCE (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). So OBEY! "The O.T. was your schoolmaster to bring you to Christ." That's NOT the only purpose of Torah! Torah passes into the NEW Covenant (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10), so OBEY! Torah is GOOD (Rom.7:12); do good! (Gal.6:10). So OBEY! Torah is holy (Rom.7:12). Be holy (1Pe.1:16). So OBEY! Torah is righteous (Rom.7:12). DO righteousness (1Jn.2:29;3:7) or else you are a child of the devil (1Jn.3:10) who will NOT inherit the forthcoming kingdom (Mt.5:20). SO OBEY! Torah is spiritual (Rom.7:14). SEEK and PURUSE the spiritual (1Cor.14:1). So OBEY! Torah defines SIN (Rom.3:20;7:7). STOP SINNING (1Cor.15:34) thus means OBEY TORAH! The fruit of the Spirit is LOVE (Gal.5:22-23) which requires TORAH (Dt.6:5,25;1Jn.5:3;Jn.14:15 + Mt.5:19), so OBEY! The fruit of the Spirit is JOY (Gal.5:22-23) which is in Torah (Ps.119:162), so obey! The fruit of the Spirit is PEACE (Gal.5:22-23) which is in Torah (Ps.119:165), so OBEY! The fruit of the Spirit is GOODNESS (Gal.5:22-23) which is TORAH (Rom.7:12), so OBEY! The fruit of the Spirit is FAITHFULNESS (Gal.5:22-23) which is TORAH (Mt.23:23;Dt.32:20;Ps.119:30,86,138), so OBEY! "Time to Graduate from the law" OOPS! That's not Bible! Look at the SCARY things that can happen to YOU if you oppose Torah: Mt.5:19 Mt.5:20 Mt. 7:21-23 Mt. 13:41-42 Why would you want that? That's crazy! SO OBEY! blessings...
  15. Thanks for your answer....but you didn't fully answer.... I asked if you OBEY or DISOBEY...and you said: "I don't worry about it". But you SHOULD! Jesus said: "If you love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS" (Jn.14:15). Jesus did not say: "Don't worry about my commands..." So, I guess I need to be more specific! DO YOU KEEP ALL JESUS' COMMANDS? (Jn.14:15) blessings... PS Yes, I am not under the law of sinful disobedience and death (Rom.8:2), but under the law of righteous obedience (2Ti.3:16;Dt.6:5,25;1Jn.5:3;Jn.14:15+Mt.5:19) and life (Mt.4:4;Dt.8:3;30:15-19;32:47). I walk in love which required obedience to Torah (1Jn.5:3;Dt.6:5,25;Jn.14:15 + Mt.5:19) I walk according to the Sermon on the Mount which requires all Torah (Mt.5:19). I do not need to go beyond the requirements of the law....because Jesus IS the very substance of the law (Jn.1:14;Col.2:17)...and that's enough! I follow Jesus who requires all Torah (Mt.4:4;5:19-20,48;7:21-23;13;41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). I walk in the Spirit who leads us to SERVE (Rom.7:6). Serve what? TORAH! (Rom.7:25) I walk in the Spirit who testifies we should OBEY Torah (Heb.10:15-16). I walk in the Spirit who leads us to obey all Torah ordinances (Eze.36:27). I walk in the Spirit who affirms we obey Torah "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21). I walk in the Spirit given to those who obey God (Ac.5:32) who commands Torah (Dt.1:3;5:27-33) I walk in the Spirit which is Jesus' words (Jn.6:63) which includes Torah (Mt.4:4;5:19-20,48;7:21-23;13;41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28) There is no condemnation for us in Christ who walk in the Spirit in obedience to Torah. I do not walk according to the flesh (Rom.8:1) which disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7); that's why I OBEY Torah. I do not walk according to the law of sin and death (Rom.8:2), I walk according to the law of righteous obedience (2Ti.3:16;Dt.6:5,25;1Jn.5:3;Jn.14:15+Mt.5:19) and life (Mt.4:4;Dt.8:3;30:15-19;32:47). I do not walk according to the flesh (Rom.8:4) which disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). So I walk in the Spirit which (by contrast) leads us to OBEY Torah! Living in the flesh is BAD (Rom.8:6) because the flesh DISOBEYS TORAH (Rom.8:7). So obey Torah in the SPIRIT! The Spirit opposes the flesh (Rom.8:13); the flesh disobeys the Torah (Rom.8:7); so the Spirit OPPOSES Torah-disobedience; so the Spirit leads us to OBEY Torah! So OBEY TORAH in the Spirit!
  16. REDEMPTION BY THE BLOOD: Eph.1:7 OBEDIENCE TO TORAH REQUIRED BY CHRIST: Mt.5:19 That's BIBLE.
  17. "The reason Jesus spoke to the Jews, was because he was sent first to the "lost sheep of the house of Israel" as was commanded by the Father. But when he died he told his disciples, "teach all nations....teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you"." That's because BELIEVING GENTILES from anywhere in the world are accepted as formerly lost (but now saved!) ISRAELITE SHEEP! That's why Paul identifies believing Gentiles as ISRAELITES (citing Hos. 1 at Rom.9:24-26). And Israelites obey Torah (Mal.4:4). So obey! blessings...
  18. The New COVENANT is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16).
  19. "Which commandments? those of the Decalogue. " WRONG! The CONTEXT is the entire TORAH (Mt.5:17)...not merely the "Decalogue". "The Decalogue was provided by the mouth of God, whereas the ordinances of Moses were mediated by Moses between the people and God." And the DECALOGUE requires obedience to ALL THE REST OF TORAH! Otherwise GOD is not your GOD (and, thus, you'd be in violation of the 1st of the 10 Commandments). "In the ensuing passage of Matthew 5, verses 21-30, Jesus affirmed and expanded the scope of two of the 10 Commandments. " No. He merely expounded upon the SAME PROPER MEANING that a good systematic theology of OT data would contain. "Then in the following verses 31-48, He annuled ordinances of the Torah of Moses." He annuled NOTHING in Mt. 5:31-48.... The "but I say to you" expressions are simply ELABORATIONS of Torah truth....NOT an annulling of Torah. After all, Jesus requires ALL Torah (Mt.4:4;5:19-20,48;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28)....not merely the Decalogue. And this applies to ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20). "Then you go on to repeat your original deceptive claims about Eph. 2:12" It's just Bible, buddy! You are NOT excluded from Israel (Eph.2:12). Israelites obey TORAH (Mal.4:4). So obey! You are NOT excluded from the covenants (plural! Eph.2:12). The Covenants are given as TORAH (e.g., Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16). So obey! " The whole intent of Galatians is to address and refute the claims of Judaizers like you." Judaizing is BAD. Remember Peter's hypocrisy? And why do you pretend Galatians opposes Torah? Read and learn! 1. Galatians is written by Paul who requires ALL Torah (2Ti.3:16). 2. Galatians is written by Paul who requires ALL Torah (1Cor.7:19). 3. Galatians is written by Paul who condoned a vow to prove he obeys Torah (Ac. 21); YOU should imitate that model (1Cor.11:1;Php.4:9). 4. Galatians is written by Paul who affirms the New Covenant (1Cor.11) which is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33). 5. Galatians is written by Paul who says we are justified by Torah (Rom.2:13) and faith (Rom.5:1) and by grace (Rom.3:24). 6. Galatians is written by Paul who affirms the legitimacy of Torah-obedient Gentiles (Rom.2:27). 7. Galatians is written by Paul who says STOP SINNING (1Cor.15:34), which means OBEY TORAH (given Rom.3:20;7:7). 8. Galatians is written by Paul who believes (not opposes!) EVERYTHING in Torah (Ac.24:14). 9. Galatians is written by Paul who believes (not opposes!) EVERYTHING in the Prophets (Ac.24:14); the Prophets require TORAH (e.g., Jer.31:33). 10. Galatians is written by Paul who affirms the New Covenant (Rom.11:27 citing Is.59:20-21) consists of Torah obeyed "from now and forever". 11. Galatians is written by Paul who says Torah (Dt.30:14) IS the word of faith he preaches (citing Dt.30:14 at Rom.10:8). 12. Galatians is written by Paul who says even Gentiles are NOT excluded from Israel (Eph.2:12), and Israelites obey TORAH (Mal.4:4;Jer.31:33). 13. Galatians is written by Paul who says even Gentiles are NOT excluded form the covenants (Eph.2:12) which are given as Torah (e.g., Jer.31:33). 14. Galatians is written by Paul who says believing Gentiles are ISRAELITES (citing Hos.1 at Rom.9:24-26); Israelites obey TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10). 15. Galatians is written by Paul who says we should NOT SIN (Rom.6:15), which means OBEY TORAH (given Rom.3:20;7:7). 16. Galatians is written by Paul who says Torah is good (Rom.7:12). Be good! OBEY Torah. 17. Galatians is written by Paul who says Torah is holy (Rom.7:12). Be holy! OBEY Torah. 18. Galatians is written by Paul who says Torah is righteous (Rom.7:12). Be righteous! OBEY Torah. 19. Galatians is written by Paul who says Torah is spiritual (Rom.7:14). Be spiritual! OBEY Torah. 20. Galatians is written by Paul who says he CONTINUES to serve Torah (Rom.7:25). 21. Galatians is written by Paul who says Torah-disobedience is of the flesh (i.e., it's BAD! Rom.8:7). 22. Galatians is written by Paul who says we should mortify the flesh (Rom.8:13), which means STOP disobeying Torah (given Rom.8:7). 23. Galatians is written by Paul who tells us to abhor evil (Rom.12:9); Torah-disobedience is evil (2Ki.17:13). So OBEY Torah! 24. Galatians is written by Paul who affirms the Father (Gal.1:3) who commands Torah (Dt.1:3;5:27-33). So obey Torah! 25. Galatians is written by Paul who affirms Jesus (Gal.1:3); Jesus requires Torah (Mt.4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). So obey Torah! 26. Galatians is written by Paul who affirms the Spirit (Gal.3:14); the Spirit testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Is.59:20-21). So obey Torah! 27. Galatians is written by Paul who requires Psalms (Eph.5:19;Col.3:16), and the Psalms require Torah (Ps.1;19;119;etc.) 28. Galatians is written by Paul who is an apostle (Gal.1:1); apostles include Torah-teachers (Mt.23:34). 29. Galatians is written by Paul who makes disciples (Ac.14:21) in accordance with (Mt.28:19-20) which includes Jesus teachings (e.g., Mt.5:19-20;23:2-3,23;Lk.10:25-28). 30. Gal. 1:6 affirms grace. Grace extends to the humble (Jas.4:6). Humble people obey TORAH (Ex. 33:13;Nu.12:3;Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3). 31. Gal. 1:8 affirms Paul's gospel, which is of fatih (Gal.3:11). And faith, for Paul, entails TORAH (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). 32. Gal. 2:3 opposes adult-male-Gentile-convert circumcision....because Torah does NOT require it. (It's for INFANTS: Lev.12:3;Ge.17:12). 33. Gal. 2:4 affirms liberty in CHRIST (who requires Torah, Mt.4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). Christ's liberty AFFIRMS (not opposes) Torah. 34. Gal. 2:9 affirms John who requires all Torah (1Jn.2:3;5:3). 35. Gal. 2:11-12: Peter was condemned for OPPOSING Torah (Torah does NOT require that he not eat with Gentiles). 36. Gal. 2:13: Peter was a hypocrite. Torah does NOT require hypocrisy. Thus, Peter was wrong for OPPOSING Torah. 37. Gal. 2:14 affirms Paul's gospel, which is TORAH-OBEDIENT FAITH IN JESUS (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). 38. Gal. 2:15 speaks lowly of "sinners", because sin is bad! Sin is violation of Torah (Rom.3:20;7:7). So, Torah-disobedience is bad. So be good and OBEY Torah! 39. Gal. 2:16: Of COURSE we are not justified by law without faith. Agreed! We are justified by law (Rom.2:13) and faith (Rom.5:1) TOGETHER. 40. Gal. 2:19: We are DEAD to the law (of sin and death, given Rom.8:2). But we obey the Torah of obedience (2Ti.3:16) and life (Jn.6:63). And SPIRIT leads us to OBEY Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Is.59:20-21). 41. Gal.2 :20 affirms faith in JESUS (who requires TORAH, Mt. 4:4;5:19-20;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). 42. Gal. 2:21 affirms GRACE (which is given to the HUMBLE, Jas.4:6). Humble people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ex.33:13;Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3). 43. Gal. 2:21 Of COURSE righteousness does not come through law without Christ. Thus Paul requires law (Rom.2:13) AND faith (Rom.5:1) for justification. 44. Gal. 3:2,5 Of COURSE we do not receive the Spirit by works without faith. Paul requires works (Eph.2:10) AND faith (Eph.2:8-9) TOGETHER. 45. Gal. 3:3 Paul OPPOSES the flesh, because the flesh DISOBEYS Torah (Rom.8:7). 46. Gal.3:6 Paul AFFIRMS Abraham, who ALSO OBEYED GOD'S COMMANDS AND LAWS (Ge.26:5). Thus, we should too. 47. Gal. 3:7 Paul affirms FAITH. Faith is of TORAH (Mt.23:23). 48. Gal. 3:8 Paul affirms FAITH. Faith is of TORAH (Ps.119:30). 49. Gal. 3:9 Paul affirms FAITH. Faith is of TORAH (Ps.119:86). 50. Gal. 3:10-11 Of COURSE we are cursed if we obey without faith. After all, Torah requires FAITH! (Dt.32:20). 51. Gal. 3:12 Of COURSE anybody who plays the "let's obey Torah without faith" game will lose! Because Dt. 6:25 without faith is a contradiction. Dt. 6:25 REQUIRES faith (given Dt. 32:20). 52. Gal. 3:13 We are redeemed form the CURSE of Torah (not from the Torah itself!) 53. Gal. 3:14 affirms the SPIRIT (who testifies we OBEY Torah, Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21). 54. Gal. 3:18 Of COURSE inheritance is not based on law without faith in the promise. 55. Gal. 3:19,25 Of COURSE the tutor function of Christ is no longer in force. But that's NOT the only function of Torah! Thus Paul still requires it (2Ti.3:16). Jesus too (Mt.5:19) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20). 56. Gal.3:21 TORAH and God's promises are NOT inconsistent. So accept BOTH! (STOP trying to get the promises without God's laws...) 57. Gal. 3:21-22 Of COURSE life and righteousness are not by law without faith in Jesus. Paul requires BOTH law AND faith (Rom.2:13+Rom.5:1) for justification. 58. Gal. 3:24 The Torah leads us to Christ. And Christ points us straight back to Torah (Mt.4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28) for ALL (Mt.28:19-20). 59. Gal. 3:26 affirms FAITH in JESUS. Jesus says FAITH is of TORAH (Mt.23:23). 60. Gal. 3:27 affirms Jesus. Jesus requires TORAH (Mt. 5:19). 61. Gal. 3:29 affirms we share in Abraham's land-inheritance....which will occur when we again obey 100% of ALL Torah (Dt.30:1-8). 62. Gal. 4:6 affirms the Father who requires Torah (Dt.1:3;5:27-33;etc.) 63. Gal.4:7 affirms God who requires Torah (Dt.1:3;5:27-33;etc.) 64. Gal. 4:9-10 condemns observation of pagan seasons, months, days, and years. (Paul REQUIRES Torah feast, though....e.g., 1Cor.5:7-8). 65. Gal. 4:21 condemns being under the law. Under the law means WITHOUT FAITH (given Gal.3:23). Paul requires faith (Rom.5:1) AND law (Rom.2:13) TOGETHER. 66. Gal. 4:31 We are of the New Covenant, not Hagar (the Old Covenant, Gal.4:24). Paul requires the NEW Covenant (1Cor.11), which is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10). 67. Gal. 5:1 affirms freedom in Christ. So, Christ (who requires all Torah, Mt.5:19) gives us freedom to obey all Torah. 68. Gal. 5:1 opposes slavery (which is observance of pagan rituals, Gal.4:8-10). 69. Gal.5:2 opposes adult-male-Gentile-convert circumcision (because Torah does not require it...and because it would deny the proper role of faith in Christ). 70. Gal. 5:3 If you want to play the "obey all Torah without faith in Christ" game, then you must obey ALL Torah flawlessly, which nobody does (Rom.3:23). Bad game! 71. Gal. 5:4 We are not justified by law without Christ. Rather, we are justified by law (Rom.2:13)+faith (Rom.5:1) TOGETHER. 72. Gal. 5:5 affirms the Spirit who testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Is.59:20-21) "from now and forever". 73. Gal. 5:6 affirms that adult-male-Gentile-convert circumcision (or uncircumcision) is irrelevant. After all, Pro-Torah Paul knows that Torah does not require it! 74. Gal. 5:7 affirms we should obey truth. TORAH is truth (Ps.119:142). 75. Gal. 5:11 Paul OPPOSES faithless works of circumcision to attain God's favor or blessing in Christ. 76. Gal. 5:13 requires that we SERVE. And Paul models that we should serve TORAH (Rom.7:25). 77. Gal. 5:14 Love fulfills (not replaces!) Torah. After all, Lev. 19:18, in context, requires that we REBUKE sinners (Lev.19:17). So Paul says Torah should REBUKE and CORRECT and TRAIN your behavior (2Ti.3:16). 78. Gal. 5:16 affirms the Spirit who testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21). 79. Gal. 5:16 OPPOSES the flesh. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). So OBEY Torah! 80. Gal. 5:17 requires the SPIRIT against the FLESH. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). The Spirit helps us to STOP DISOBEYING IN THE FLESH (Rom.8:13). 81. Gal. 5:18 affirms the Spirit (who testifies we obey Torah Heb. 10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Is.59:20-21). 82. Gal. 5:18 says we are not under the law. "Under the law" refers to being "without faith", given Gal. 3:23. Thus, Paul requires Torah(Rom.2:13) AND faith (Rom.5:1), TOGETHER. 83. Gal. 5:19 confirms the flesh is bad. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). We should NOT be in the flesh (Rom.8:13). So we should OBEY Torah! 84. Gal. 5:22 affirms LOVE. Love requires TORAH (1Jn.5:3;Dt.6:5,25). 85. Gal. 5:22 affirms PEACE. We have great PEACE if we obey TORAH (Ps.119:165). 86. Gal. 5:22 affirms FAITH. Faith is of Torah (Mt.23:23;Ps.119:30,86,138;Dt.32:20). 87. Gal. 5:24 affirms Christ (who requires all Torah, Mt.5:19). 88. Gal. 5:24 opposes the flesh (which disobeys Torah, Rom.8:7). So STOP disobeying Torah! Obey! 89. Gal. 5:25 affirms the Spirit who testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21). 90. Gal. 6:1 affirms it is good to be spiritual. Torah is spiritual (Rom.7:14). So be spiritual and obey Torah! 91. Gal. 6:2 affirms the law of Christ (which includes Torah, Mt.4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). 92. Gal. 6:8 opposes the flesh. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). So OBEY Torah! Don't be in the flesh! 93. Gal. 6:8 affirms the Spirit. The Spirit mortifies the deeds of the flesh. The flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). So the Spirit leads us to NOT DISOBEY. So OBEY TORAH! 94. Gal. 6:8 affirms eternal life. Jesus confirms Torah-obedience is sufficient for eternal life (Lk.10:25-28). So obey! 95. Gal. 6:9 affirms we should do good. Torah is good(Rom.7:12). So do good in obedience to Torah! 96. Gal. 6:10 affirms we should do good. Torah is good (Rom.7:12). So do good in obedience to Torah! 97. Gal. 6:12 confirms that the circumcision pushed by Christ's opponents was NOT consistent with Christ (who requires all Torah, Mt.5:19). 98. Gal. 6:13 confirms that those requiring adult-male-Gentile-convert circumcision are anti-Torah (because Torah does not require it...and because Torah requires FAITH, Dt.32:20, not circumcision without faith). 99. Gal. 6:14 We boast in the cross of Christ, whose blood inaugurates the New Covenant (Lk.22:20) which is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16). 100. Gal. 6:15 Gentiles may get circumcised or not....it doesn't matter...;.because Torah does not require it.... 101. Gal. 6:16 affirms peace. Those who obey Torah have peace (Ps.119:165). 101. Gal. 6:16 affirms mercy. Mercy extends to those who OBEY Torah (Ex. 20:6). 102. Gal. 6:18 affirms grace. Grace is given to the humble (Jas.4:6). Humble people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ps.25:9;Ex.33:13;Zep.2:3). 103. Gal. 6:18 affirms Christ (who requires Torah, Mt. 4:4;5:19-20,48;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28). Wowzers! Thanks for giving us 103 BIBLICAL reasons to obey Torah! These are encouraging words. blessings...
  20. Hi there! Of course you are a beautiful saved sister in Christ! Agreed! No worries there..... But either we OBEY or DISOBEY.... "Righteousness does not come by the law" So do you OBEY or DISOBEY the law? blessings...
  21. "Rightly dividing with the help of the Holy Spirit is required to arrive at Truth." Yes. And the Spirit testifies we obey TORAH (Eze.36:27;Heb.10:15-16;Is.59:20-21;Rom.8:13 + Rom.8:7). And Torah is truth (Ps.119:142). Let's keep this in mind as we study together. "Jesus was an OT prophet and He was addressing Jews and speaking in terms that they understand being under Moses" And ALL those teachings/commands of Jesus apply to YOU (Mt.28:19-20). "That something greater is what the Holy Spirit began to teach after Pentecost when He unveiled the reality of what the Father accomplished in Christ with the cross and blood." Yes! We are cleansed by Christ's blood with zeal for Torah-obedience (Ac.21:21-24). After all, Christ requires Torah (Mt.5:19). The Father requires Torah (Dt.1:3;5:27-33). Torah passes into the New Covenant (Jer.31:33). So we obey! blessings...
  22. DOGMA is not TORAH (go ahead and look up every last instance of "δόγμα" in the entire Bible (LXX AND NT). AND, the TORAH is not a CERTIFICATE OF DEBT (which is the MEANING of "χειρόγραφον" in Col. 2:14). So the "χειρόγραφον" is cancelled....NOT the Torah itself. THAT is the point of using the Greek terms here....it exposes your confusion between Torah ordinances and "δόγμα". That's why ORDINANCES is "κρίματά " in Eze.36:27 LXX, not "δόγμα". And again, that's why "δόγμα" is NOT used in 1Ki.2:3 LXX. After all, that same Paul upholds the NEW COVENANT (1Cor.11) which is given as TORAH! (Jer.31:33). So Paul would OBVIOUSLY not cancel the Torah in Col. 2:14. "Ordinance in Old Testament Lev is מִשְׁמֶרֶת" No....that's CHARGE...not ORDINANCE..... The Hebrew term for ORDINANCE (or JUDGMENT) is routinely "מִשְׁפָּט" or "חֻקָּה" or the alternative form "חֹק".... And not δόγμα !!! Torah ordinances are NOT δόγμα. A "διαταγή" is an act of ordaining.....NOT a Torah ordinance itself. It only appears thrice throughout the entire bible (once in Ezra, NOT referring to Torah)...and twice in the NT (referring to the act of ORDAINING). And besides, Col. 2 does not cancel "διαταγή" anyway....so it doesn't help your argument. "The New Testament uses the word ordinances in place of commandments and literal ordinances interchangeably" The NT routinely uses "νόμος" to refer to TORAH (e.g., Mt.5), and Jesus requires ALL TORAH (Mt.5:19) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20). Let's not pretend "νόμος" is canceled! It passes directly into the NEW COVENANT (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10). " As Jesus said when satan tried to use scripture out of context to deceive him, "Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." " Then OBEY Jesus who (in Mt.4:4) cites Dt. 8:3 referring to TORAH! Jesus expects you to OBEY AND LIVE! So OBEY TORAH AND LIVE! "Now if you wish to call Jesus a liar so you can continue in your traditions of man, you are welcome too, you have free will." Honestly, your "usury" argument doesn't compute. Try it again, please. And here's what Scripture says about liars: YOU ARE A LIAR IF YOU DO NOT KEEP JESUS' COMMANDS (1Jn.2:4). And Jesus COMMANDS that we obey all Torah (Mt.5:19). So please! STOP opposing Mt. 5:19. Let's uphold the TRUTH. TORAH is truth (Ps.119:142). " we need to obey the commandments and be righteous" Great! Then obey Torah and be righteous! (Dt.6:5,25;2Ti.3:16) " we must live for God first and foremost." Awesome! LIVE for God and obey the Torah God commands (Dt.1:3;5:27-33;etc.) "Again Jesus says to keep the commandments, but welcome to call him a liar if you wish." Then KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS! They are found in the WRITTEN TORAH OF MOSES (1Ki.2:3). " The works is proving our faith by following the commandments and doing works. " Great! FOLLOW THE COMMANDS. THEY ARE IN TORAH (1Ki.2:3). "For the final time as we are judged by our works, you can call Jesus a liar if you wish." Don't be silly. Jesus is not a liar. Jesus speaks TRUTH. Torah is TRUTH (Ps.119:142). We are sanctified by the word of truth (Jn.17:17). So be sanctified by Torah truth! OBEY! blessings...
  23. "You twist this to meet your wrong doctrine. " Rather, 2Ti.3:16 requires that ALL SCRIPTURE (thus including TORAH!) must REBUKE and CORRECT and TRAIN and TEACH your behavior in righteousness. Jesus agrees: you must DO Torah-obedient righteousness GREATER than that of the Pharisees (Mt.5:20), or else you will NOT inherit the forthcoming kingdom (Mt.5:20). "Nowhere does Paul say that law obeying is a requisite of salvation." True! Law-obeying is a SUFFICIENT CONDITION (Lk.10:25-28)....not a NECESSARY condition (Ac.15:1,11) for obtaining salvation. AND! Paul says that we remain saved IF WE HOLD FAST TO THE WORD HE PREACHES (1Cor.15:1-4) which is FAITHFUL TORAH-OBEDIENCE (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8). Jesus says we are His disciples IF WE CONTINUE IN HIS WORD (Jn.8:31) which includes TORAH (Mt.5:19). "Imagine if your tenacity and energy was focused on teaching the Gospel of Grace alone for salvation." Who said grace alone? Justification is by LAW (Rom.2:13) + WORKS (Jas.2:24) + FAITH (Rom.5:1) + GRACE (Rom.3:24) + THE BLOOD (Rom.5:9) + the SPIRIT (1Cor.6:11) + the Name of Christ (1Cor.6:11). ALL. I'm the Bible Guy. STOP the picking-and-choosing. ALL Bible is true. AND! Grace is given to the humble (Jas.4:6;Pr.3:34). HUMBLE people obey TORAH (Nu.12:3;Ps.25:9;Zep.2:3;Ex.33:13). So OBEY! blessings...
  24. And you ignored my question... I'll try again! Does Paul require ALL SCRIPTURE (thus including TORAH) to CORRECT and TRAIN and REBUKE you? (Hint: 2Ti.3:16) Hopefully you can answer my question this time! thanks!
  25. "Brought near to whom or what? Brought near to God, not to Moses, not to Israel." God commands what? TORAH! (Dt.1:3;5:27-33) God's commands are found where? THE WRITTEN TORAH OF MOSES! (1Ki.2:3). God's family is named what? ISRAEL! (Am.3:1-2) You are NOT excluded from Israel (Eph.2:12); Israelites obey TORAH (Mal.4:4). The Torah of MOSES (or else Jeremiah 31:33 is a false prophecy, given Dt. 13:1-5). "When you read into verse 12 your beliefs, your beliefs are what you will see." Forget about my beliefs.....go with the BIBLE! Eph.2:12 upholds CHRIST who requires TORAH (Mt.5:19) Eph.2:12 affirms we are NOT excluded from ISRAEL (Eph.2:12); and Israelites obey TORAH (Mal.4:4;Jer.31:31-33;Heb.8:8-10). Eph.2:12 affirms GOD who requires TORAH (Dt.1:3;5:27-33). "But you are only deceiving yourself and others." No deception.... Just Bible. blessings...
