  1. Just before your posting...I had edited my post taking away part...so I must agree that my original was too harsh.
  2. Related story... Fatherhood came late for me. At 50, I am helping out in my daughter's 2nd grade classroom overseeing a group of kids. I notice this one little girl staring up at me intently. Then she says in the most innocent voice.. "why do you have zebra hair?" Lol... The girl had never seen partially gray hair. ....... Would you rather vacation at the mountains, or the ocean?
  3. Actually it's not and is very straight forward. And interesting to me is your comment just a page or two later...... JOSHEB It has often occurred to me that several sections of scripture cover a common event or period of history and puzzled me that many don't understand a history, a psalm, a prophesy, a gospel, and an epistle can and do speak about the exact same event or concern - in differing ways! And they do not all do so literally. Sometimes none of them do. They speak of literal events in non-literal ways. Hmmm?
  4. In thinking about your reply, my take away from your words is that the Jesus is there during conflict resolution when all parties are praying together on the same page.....is that what you mean?
  5. Couple of questions.. 1. What is daystar? 2. Who is "they" that wants the entire black community to get it first? 3. What is your source for your statement in question #2?
  6. I am aware that we should be nice to strangers.. In Matthew Jesus points out how how even tax collectors and sinners greet each other so no big deal but greeting those we don't know, or don't agree with is important however where in scripture does it say be kind because you may be talking to an Angel? Thanks.
  7. It occurs to me that many may see this before Waggles has a chance to see and respond so here is a copy and paste from the other thread that started this.... "Before Adam (Genesis 2) God created other human beings (Genesis 1). There is a great deal of evidence in archaeology and anthropology to indicate 40,000 is the history of "modern" human beings. So the first peoples of creation were hunters and gatherers and of different racial types. Thus the diversity of humankind is not a story of evolution. "
  8. Don't be sorry about being wrong on this...you just didn't know that a TOOL ( gun ) has nothing to do with the bible but more so the heart and intention of the person holding that tool.
  9. This is a question that was being addressed in another thread and so as to not hijack that thread, it was suggested to start a new conversation so here it is. Waggles has stated that there was earlier man than Adam and history goes back 40k years. Several asked how he came to that conclusion and we were just starting to get some answers when Waggles suggested a different thread for this so Waggles if you would expand on this..thank you.
  10. Since I asked this question, and he answered. I too would like to hear more on this but I understand his not wanting to sidetrack the OP...I will start another thread.
  11. You have stated an absolute... When actually it is your assumption. Actually it.. Can.. Be the case, but you think not probable which I understand. Be cautious in making definitive statements based on assumptions because it can shut out avenues in the thought process when trying to think through a subject.
  12. Curious about this. Do these churches just don't feel it's necessary so they don't offer it or are they actually against it and tell their people not to do it?
