  1. Seems that "personal gain" is the thing to examine here, how do you define it in relation to spreading the Gospel where it is illegal to do so? I can make arguments in several different ways about this, but they always come down to what personal gain actually is being sought and the motive behind it as to whether it would be right or wrong.
  2. Since some health concerns are related to race (i.e. sickle cell anemia) I would think identifying ethnic factors would be medically important for both treatment and research purposes.
  3. Yeah, but I was wondering which school district it occurred in. I don't know anything about how the overall State sponsored school system operates there, whether or not the different districts within it all follow the same agenda and have the same attitude toward parents speaking our about it or not.
  4. Likewise those who try to replace religion with science.
  5. I f you look back to my original post I said all social media. The young should not be allowed on them before becoming adults. No good comes from it and much bad does. That would be considered a challenge on social media today and the answer would be a rush to do it and try to prove you can do it better than someone else has. This is not the world of our youth, and it is a mistake to try to treat it as such.
  6. From what I'm hearing as of late the Cartels in Mexico have taken control of the border and are the de facto regulators of it.
  7. Shouldn't be a problem for most people if what we are being told about the economy by the current authorities on such things is true.
  8. Don't know exactly where this took place, but in some -and more than just a few- school districts speeches like that will get you thrown out of the meeting, banned from attending future meetings, and sometimes even thrown in jail for it. If you love your children, and in some places want to be sure they stay alive, keep them out of the public schools. The way I see it.
  9. I recall the prediction of a new ice age back in those days being at the forefront, those were the days when we read books like Silent Spring and called those concerned with the environment ecologists and started replacing worship of God with worship of Gaia.
  10. Oh, I know that TikTok is just a symptom of a greater evil spreading throughout the world, but is a symptom that is killing directing our children into it before they even reach the point of being solidly established in their personal identities and status among their peers (which is what growing up is about) and rapidly spreads self destructive standards of thought and behavior as the norm they are to seek while doing so. These "challenges" aren't like the days of our youth when it was things like swallowing a goldfish live on a dare was all the thing, and they are becoming encouraged among younger and younger children now, not among young adults inc colleges that have developed at least some degree of common sense that can control their recklessness, it has recently resulted in deaths and serious injuries spreading among even elementary school children. Sometimes when the symptoms immediately fatal it is necessary to treat the symptoms first before going after the disease itself.
  11. Even at this I end up questioning myself when I try to call events as fulfilling prophecies. Fir instance, I look at 1948 as being the fulfillment of the prophecy of the nation of Israel being reborn as a nation and called back to it land, but then I realize that a little over half of the Jews are still scattered throughout the world and have no intention of going back other than for a visit. Israel also occupies only a part of its historical land so there wouldn't be enough room for them now if the did. So what I see as a fulfillment when I look at the reborn Israel may be, in fact, just the beginning of a fulfillment and not a fulfillment in itself. It took WWII and the German inspired virulent antisemitism of the 1930's to convince the Jews who went back to Israel to do so, and to convince the world to recreate the nation of Israel for them to return to, so if something similar is required to get the rest of them to return maybe the current rising Judenhass we see throughout the world is setting the stage for the next stage of their return and the final fulfillment of that prophecy. I am always aware that seeing the fulfillment of a prophecy is subject to the Nostradamus effect where people make events fit into it so that they seem fulfilled by them when they are just interpreted that way because that is what the people doing it want to see to reaffirm their belief about it. There may be a bigger picture we aren't seeing yet and that will have to wait till more is brought to light to understand it.
  12. The systems work fine without digital currencies and have for thousands of years, what do those overtly pushing for them expect to objectively result from them (or is it possible their real intentions are covert and have nothing to do with what is being claimed overtly)?
  13. But what and where will that bottomless pit be? What will the beast coming out of it look like? So that we can recognize it for what it is without having to guess at it.
  14. Ya' know, that's a kind of good point to make, and one that could actually merit some carefully serious discussion based on its own merits. But that's just what i think, there may be those that think the opposite.
  15. But how long will this last as it is before then clock ticks forward again? 1 year? 1000 years? WE can't know these things as a certainty, only that the clock it ticking forward at whatever rate God chooses for it to tick. That's all I'm saying, we can know the season but we can't know exactly how long that season lasts is the way I see it.
  16. I think that should be considered on subject since that is a part of what is being discussed here and relates directly to what she was forced to go through by no fault of her own. Just an observation, not a judgment. May we all be blessed with an understanding of each other.
  17. So would you use "education" about alcohol, tobacco, and firearms in place of our current legal restrictions and bans on them for purchase and use by children? Do you actually think that would work in today's world where TikToc challenges have resulted in many injuries and deaths amd suicides and such among our children who have already been relegated to the government for their education in mores and values for the most part? I'm more of a mind to think it would actually make the problem worse for a number of differing children's psychological developmental reasons.
  18. If in doubt, don't. FWIW, TikTok along with other social media is having negative, even deadly, results on our children, I favor banning all social media -including TikTok to anyone under 18 the same way we ban alcohol, drugs, firearms and tobacco to them.
  19. What ever happened to that leftist "It's for the children" stuff? Is this what it has become now?
  20. Sometimes catching one disease gives us an immunity that prevents another one that is worse. But as for vaccines, I haven't had a vaccine in well over 50 years (had to have them to be discharged from the army, but nothing since) and I haven't caught anything that there is a vaccination for (only thing of any significance I've caught was from a mosquito bite and there wasn't and still isn't a vaccine for it anyway). FWIW, I've been around people dropping right and left from the flu but never been even slightly affected by it. I just don't catch things, I think that vaccines actually affect the immune system negatively by interfering with its natural response to the environment and initiating an artificial one in its place, but that's just my thinking and has no medical reasoning behind it. I neither recommend nor discourage vaccines for anybody, everyone should just think for themselves and make their own decisions is what I would prefer. There are certain nutritional substances that I take as well so I can't just credit it to a powerful immune system by itself. Hope you stay well and continue gaining liveliness.
  21. I am in agreement with you on this. The way I see it is that it is good to understand the prophecies only in relation to how I can practice their lessons in my daily life today and absolutely not good to study them to the extent we fail to understand that they are meant to give us lessons we can live by, not ones that distract us from being Christian in all of our activities. Take care of today and leave tomorrow to take care of itself. Concentrate on tomorrow and today goes untended with our lives as Christians becoming diminished in the present. Just my way of seeing it, not to discount the views of others.
  22. The real question here would, should, be centered around when a life actually begins. A Jewish view is that life begins at birth and that the soul is not involved in the developing fetus until 40 days after conception, A Christian view would be that life begins at conception and from that point on is a living human no matter the stage of development, and a secular view would be that it doesn't make any difference since convenience of the mother is all that matters and trying to ban abortion -at any point- is, as AOC says, trying to control woman's right to recreational sex without consequence. Removing a dead or dying child after a miscarriage is not abortion in any of these senses, there is not guilt, shame, or innocence involved in this. It is just an essential medical procedure to save the life of the mother after the child has been lost, I don't know of any medical personnel that would disagree with this or any laws anywhere that would prevent it. But the article has to do with forcing doctors and nurses to violate their religion by forcing them to perform abortions when they cannot do it and remain faithful to their religious beliefs which is something the Constitution guarantees as an inalienable right. It is best to keep this in mind before making enemies of each other.
  23. It would be good to keep in mind that when talking about "climate change" as a political issue we are talking about anthropogenic climate change, not natural climate change. The issue is not that the climate is changing (it is and has always been in a constant state of change) but whether or not is is caused or accelerated by man and his activities. There is really no way of knowing this, theories and predictions based on them have , so far, always failed to turn out as they were predicted to turn out. No sense in digging into you position and opposing each other the way soldiers dig trenches and shoot back and for at each other trying to kill their opponent, that makes no sense at all since logic goes out of the discussion as soon as emotion enters it.
  24. I said things a little unclearly, when talking about God's intentions I was mot intending to refer to the eventual outcome, which id definitely well shown in the Bible, but to his immediate intentions regarding the events of today and how they fit into the scheme of things in the sense of our experience of time sequences. An example of the way confusion can arise by using current events as an absolute for the timing of God's plan is shown by the sequential and non-sequential interpretations of the 70 weeks of Daniel (9:24-27) which have been used many times in different ways. Always. I keep in mind things like hearing a preacher on the radio around 30years back (during the Clinton administration) that was absolutely certain that the final 7 years had begun and we would see all fulfilled by around 2000 or shortly after. As always he turned out wrong, you can look back throughout history and see many, many people predicting with what they felt was absolute certainty that we were on the immediate edge of all the prophecies being fulfilled and the return of Christ, this is true over the last 100's or thousand's of years as even during the first decades after the ascension of Christ people were thinking this, yet we have a several thousand history of all of them being wrong. Trying to predict any prophetic fulfillment as imminent based on current world political, social and cultural conditions is not the wisest of things to be doing since it always seems to mutate form "this could be it" to "this is it" and when it turn out wrong it damages or destroys the faith of many who believed in it. The way I see it.
