1 John 1:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. I am not seeing it as dispelling that truth that the antichrist shall come. John is adding an awareness that even now, there are many antichrists for why we know it is the last time. 1 John 2:22-23 can be applied as towards a false prophet but 1 John 4:3 is about testing the spirits in the context of 1 John 4:1-4 1 John 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: John is not talking about anyone confessing that Jesus Christ had actually come in the flesh but where Jesus Christ is presently in verse 2 which is the same as what Paul is saying in the examination of our faith of Jesus Christ is in us per 2 Corinthians 13:5 . We can know this to be true by the following two verses. 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. To be clearer still; Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Apply that to Azusa Street Revival, holy laughter movement, slain in the spirit, being drunk in the spirit, Pensacola Outpouring, Toronto's Blessings, and even Ernest Angeley's Healing Crusade where he announces the coming of the Holy Spirit in falling on already saved believer to make them lose self control & fall backwards to get a miracle. That is the spirit of the antichrist which is in the world. So tying in John's warning about those who teach otherwise in denying Jesus is the Christ; this is how they say that is the Spirit of Christ moving here of there. Antichrist means "instead of Christ" or to be more precise "instead of the Son". The real indwelling Holy Spirit will always keep your eyes on the Son in worship whereas the spirits of the antichrist do not, by using their visitations of signs & lying wonders to take the believers eyes off of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, in chasing after them to receive by a sign or miracle. Keep your eyes on the Bridegroom for He will be coming soon & chase no more after those spirits for any filling or receiving whatsoever or risk being left behind for being out to the market. Matthew 25:1-13

Are we in trouble when we fast for our pleasure? What is the fast God has chosen? Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. 3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. 4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.

1 John 2:1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

For those that had responded to that call to repent from sin or sins or made a commitment to follow Christ to gain the assurance of salvation and find it too hard and thinks that Christianity doesn't work; you need to ask Jesus for help to stop looking to yourself in doing the best you can but rather rely on Him all the time for He is the power for living the Christian life in following Him. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:.... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. If we could do the best we can by looking to ourselves to keep the law or that commitment, it will be in vain and not of faith in Him. Galatians 2:15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. Galatians 5:1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.... 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. So speak no more of your commitment or you doing the best you can in following Him and just rest in Him as your Good Shepherd & Friend that He will help you to follow Him, because that is what a Good Sheperd does. Soi believe Him. Trust Him to do it. Then others, religious believers that are struggling and sinners may see your hope in Jesus Christ for all things, including resting in Him that you are saved for simply believing in Jesus Christ for eternal life. Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

You are assuming that the rapture event takes place at the end of the great tribulation. Do click on scripture references below to see the scriptures. Discern Zechariah 14:1-5 on how the Lord comes back as the King of kings at the end of the great tribulation to do battle with the world's armies marching unto Jerusalem. Note how He is touching down with his feet on the Mount of Olives verse 4, but He is coming back with the pre great tribulation raptured saints in verse 5. Granted, you will probably still see it as the raptured event where they turn around and then come back right then and there, but bear with me. Then discern that same event of Zechariah 14:1-5 is in Revelation 19:11-21 when He comes back with the armies clothed in fine linen, white and clean vs 14 as it cannot be angels but the saints coming back with Him as He defeats the world's armies & cast the beast & false prophet into the lake of fire. I'm sure you will agree on that. With me so far? Okay then, the world's armies are now defeated and we go into the next chapter for how Satan is in the pit for a thousand years. THEN AFTER THAT, that resurrection takes place where those that have died, having gone through the great tribulation, are resurrected. Revelation 20:1-6 Fathom that. Jesus came back with the saints and had defeated the world's armies & Satan is in the pit for a thousand years and then THAT RESURRECTION takes place. Jesus is on earth for when that resurrection takes place. He is not meeting those saints in the air. Rebuttal; But it says the first resurrection!!! Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. That was written to testify that this resurrection was to happen "first" before the rest of the dead are resurrected later on ( at the Great White Throne Judgment ). This "first resurrection" was not to testify that this was the rapture event of the firstfruits of the resurrection for when they meet Christ in the clouds. That is why Jesus is warning the 7 churches in Revelation to be ready or else be left behind as cast into the bed of the great tribulation as He will judge His House first as the Bridegroom coming for the abiding bride of Christ. He will be excommunicating those not found abiding in Him ( Luke 12:40-49 ) nor being willing to go from attending the Marriage Supper in Heaven. Luke 14:15-24

By our faith in Jesus Christ to help us to do this for why I shall thank Him for all that He has done not just for me but through me too. Luke 12:42-44 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. In light of this; for how he gives their portion of food in due season 1 Corinthians 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

You need to know that Jesus Christ came to save sinners from their sins to walk with God now and not just give you eternal life!!! Romans 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure..... 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Acts 3: 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. 2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

@Mr. M Plus there is this: 1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's; 23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. 1 Corinthians 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. I cannot see anyone bragging about having earn that crown at all for why all praises, thanksgiving, & glory is being given to God.

Right for why saved believers are to pray that they may escape what is coming on the earth that they do not get overcharged for the cares of this life that the day takes them unaware. In the case for Lot's wife however, Jesus gave her as an example as a warning against looking back when He appears as if that saved believer has something valued in mind to bring something with them. We need His help to leave everything behind. Luke 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 32 Remember Lot's wife.

I believe Paul said that with this truth in mind. John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. I see Paul referring to Him. 1 Corinthians 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 2 Corinthians 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. This is how we are to run that race.. by faith in looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily in walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son.

How can a Christian NOT believe in the Holy Spirit?
ChristB4us replied to debrakay's topic in Gifts of the Spirit
But it should be discerned that which was before Pentecost, is of the world since God would not mimic that which is of Satan's. John 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? There is a pagan supernatural tongue that is gibberish nonsense that was in the world before Pentecost had come with the real God's gift of tongues of another man's lips to speak unto the people. Now some members doubt Isaiah 8:19 is really testifying to that, but there are historical accounts of this existing in Roman idolatry. The History of Tongues: Pagan Practices Since we are to prove all things and abstain from all appearances of evil with His help, then we need to know God would not mimic the works of the devil that has been in the world before Pentecost, otherwise how can sinners & the church know that converted sinners have departed from those spirits and that kind of tongue? 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 25 Brethren, pray for us. -
Well as far as looking to Him to help you lay aside every weight & sin daily in walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son, there is that readiness to not value anything on this earth that you would be tempted to go back for as if you can bring it or someone you love with you. Luke 17:26-37 <---- Note the warning in verses 31 & 32 for going back to bring something with you. Like it or not, some saved believers will not want to leave to attend the Marriage Supper in Heaven in favor of their everyday lives. Luke 14:15-24 You cannot earn that place when we are hoping in Him to have us ready as found abiding in Him & be willing to go too which is why He exhorts us to pray that we may escape what is coming on the earth as He is able to keep us from falling & present us faultless. Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Where are the weeds being burned? Outside of his barn and thus in the world where the wheat & the weeds were prior as in the field. On the contrary.... both that which receives the rain but one that grew thickets & thorns, that earth is burned, but still that earth had received the rain. Hebrews 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. What is the rain? The same as that Whom is the seed. Christ Jesus. In the parable of the Sower, the one that had the seed eaten up by the crows, are the unbelievers. The two earth that were not fruitful that had not grown on good soil is the result of what was sown on the earth of thickets & thorns whereas the earth that had received the rain in growing good things prospered. It is akin to what a believer builds on that foundation per 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 as in what he sows towards; the works of the flesh still after salvation or looking to Jesus Christ to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily to let Him continue His work in us by Whom the fruits of righteousness comes from. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:.... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

@Mr. M & @R. Hartono Here is another kind of crown; the crown of righteousness. 2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. As for the crown being symbolic, I do not believe so since the crown(s) we shall receive are really His crowning achievements in us for why we would cast our crowns at His feet in giving that glory to Him also. Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

How can a Christian NOT believe in the Holy Spirit?
ChristB4us replied to debrakay's topic in Gifts of the Spirit
And One should consider apostate movements of the "spirit" like holy laughter movement, slain in the spirit, being drunk in the spirit, Toronto's Blessings, Pensacola Outpouring, & even Ernest Angley's Healing Crusade for when he announced the Holy Spirit is falling on already saved believer for a miracle that by touching their foreheads and saying "Whooooo! they fall backwards to get that supposed miracle. With all that confusion and signs and lying wonders, is it any puzzle why some Christians do not believe in the Holy Spirit when that was not the Holy Spirit at all? And you have to wonder about that report about the % of those that do believe, how much of that % is because of those apostate movements of the spirit? At Azua Street Revival when they had placed the emphasis on the baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of tongues, they had the same kinds of phenomenon like being drunk in the spirit happening there too, and yet modern tongues for private users would condemn holy laughter movement or being drunk in the spirit as not of God. Thus brings the baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of tongues for sinners to seek after has to be discerned & judged as well. What did Jesus say? Matthew 12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. If Jesus told Nicodemus how he can know one is born again of the Spirit, would He not say by them speaking in tongues? But no. He said that after His ascension vs 13 which is after His crucifixion vs 14 for whenever anyone believes in Jesus Christ, shall have eternal life vs 15 hence born again of the Spirit. John 3:6-15 Then Jesus said this that we would not be receiving the Holy Spirit the same way the world receives spirits by seeing it happen for why we are not to seek the receiving of the Holy Spirit by a sign when tongues are to serve as a sign towards unbelievers. John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. We shall know Him by Him dwelling in us. So the survey may be askew if the people that did not believe, were saying so in relation to those apostate movements of the spirit for why they do not believe the Holy Spirit is real since God is not the author of confusion as in all churches of the saints. Is it any wonder why that tongue for private use is gibberish nonsense & thus seen as confusion? 1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. The way that article is worded makes me wonder how that survey was presented and to what mindset the people that had answered. -
@FJK & @Alive & @R. Hartono & @Justin Adams If the field is the world and the weeds are not the ones collected into his barn hence Heaven above where the ones taken meet Christ in the clouds to be forever with the Lord , then the weeds are left behind to burn in the world. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 The calamity of fire takes place outside of his barn in the world. That is why Jesus is warning saved believers to be ready or else be cut off to be with unbelievers when that fire comes on the earth. Luke 12:40-49 <------ Note verse 49

Possibly but they managed to maintain the accepted scripture and so if their enemies had been able to get rid of the Book of Jehu in the manner that you suggest, then they would have succeeded with the rest of scripture. But then again, maybe it just has not been found yet among the Dead Sea Scrolls or some other area.

Maybe the Department of Education is to blame as they slip the evolution theory to be taught in school where some say it is true, for why I do not see bullying ending any time soon with this natural selection of weeding out the weak & the vulnerable and then teach kids it is okay to keep secrets from their parents and then expose them to sexual immorality by pornographic books and stories about children having sex with adults available in the school library, and then some berate the kids to have low self esteem and to hate themselves to cutting and then transgenderism on top of that. Time for Christian parents to teach their kids at home or at the very least go back to where school was held in church like on Little House on the Prairie.

What about Jesus in Luke 17:26-37 for why He is warning believers to be ready or else? What about what Peter said as a warning for believers to endure to the end to be saved from what is coming on the earth in 2 Peter 3:1-14 as he mentioned the global flood as a warning about that fire coming on the earth which will come from Jesus also? Luke 12:40-49

Asking someone on earth to pray for you to God in Heaven is a lot different than you praying to God in Heaven. When you are praying towards Heaven, pray to God. Why the round about way when it comes to praying to God? You should suspect that the only reason the RCC is doing this is to make moral compromises to idolators in Rome as if Jesus is not the only way to God the Father thereby avoiding ending up like Peter & Paul did in Rome. Did you know that the prophet Mohammud had come across some Mariologists that led him to believe that the Trinity doctrine was God the Father and God the Son, and Mary? On top of that, the title Queen of Heaven is an abominable offense to God in the past and so why would Mary be honored by that title? She would be offended. Jeremiah 7:18The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. So where did that title come from other than from among Roman idolatry? Go to Jesus Christ at that throne of grace for this reason of Him being our High Priest. For it is by Him, you can pray to God the Father by. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 3 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

When you read the first verse; Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The following verses is about how God did that in the first verse. You can know that by how it ended in Genesis 2nd chapter by the word "Thus... " Genesis 2:1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Scripture did not originally have numbered chapters & numbered verses, and so the first creation account actually ended in verse 3 of the second chapter of genesis.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
