  1. Would You Save Your Enemy's Life? Matthew 5:44 "But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you
  2. Marilyn Monroe because she was so lonely and alot of men abused and treated her badly. She deserved so much better, she never should of gone to Hollywood. Cleopatra what her life was like how far advanced was their civilization. What did she do all day. Moses what he was thinking and feeling on the mountain with God, how he felt with the power of God going through him when he parted the red sea, when all the plagues were going on. How he felt when he was told he could not enter the promised land. Noah how he felt building the ark with all the ridicule he had to endure, and what the people thought when it started to rain! And rounding up all the animals how did he do that and how could he possibly keep them from killing each other and feeding times must of been a riot!! :oww: And what about the smell! :x: How did his family feel on the ark, what did they eat for 40 days and nights! So many questions for Noah!! Where did he keep the cats!! :il: The sheperds watching their flocks the night Jesus was born and their reaction to God's heavenly host appearing in front of them!! WOW!! 3. If you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead who would it be and what would you talk about? Besides Jesus of course because one day soon we will all be sitting at His table in Heaven! Elijah would be my first choice, because I would like to know more about him and why God chose him to talk to King Ahab. What was it like to go up in a whirlwind to meet God. What gave him his uncommon courage? Did God appear to him from a dream or some other incredible way. Princess Diana would be next she was so beautiful and so insecure. She is one lady who needed a true friend that loved her for who she was as a person not a princess. She needed Jesus in her life in a big way. Things probably would of turned out differently if she had. Christopher Columbus I want to hear about his adventure and how tough it really was on the ocean. What he thought when he finally came to America. Wyat Erp what was it like to be a sheriff in a frontier town and to chase some of the baddest dudes around and bring em in. More Later Marilyn

  5. Hey Sing I to am part of a praise and worship in my church we have only been going for a couple of years now. I have had the same kind of comments from people about my voice, the first time someone complemented me I didn't know what to say. I never got alot of complements growing up so getting one was foreign to me. So I just mumbled a thank you and looked for a way to escape. But someone told me that I should take the commplement in the way it was given with love and joy, because I have a gift that was given to me by God. And to take that lightly is like slapping God in the face for the gift. When I sing now its like no one else is in the room with me except God and I sing directly to Him. Don't let anyone take that blessing away from you, not only are you worshipping God you sending a blessing out to the congregation and you never know who will be touched by the words you are singing. The ones that are jealous are letting self enter in and that is not of God. You need to rise above the pettiness of these people and give 110% every time you sing or worship, that is your gift to God and He rejoices when you use it. It doesn't matter where you go what church you attend there are going to people like that. The only alternative is to stop singing and that will not glorify God. God is the only one you have to be accountable to. So sing your heart out and make a joyful "noise" to Him. (not really noise, you get what I mean). What kind of music/artists do you sing? Sing a New Song Unto the Lord!! Marilyn
  6. My sister sneezes like a trucker, scares the crap out of all those within range, small animals run for their lives, people covered their ears, it registers on radar but I love her anyway!!!! Even though I could smack her when she sneezes like that!! :x: :baa: For Heavens sake please don't tell her Marilyn
  7. Attending a "4-Walled Church" that isn't DEAD!!! :suspect: Marilyn
  8. In Acts 13:36a Paul gives an "Epitath" for the Old Testament King David: despite David's errors and problems, "he served God's purpose in his own generation." Think now about what you Would Want to be written on your tombstone: This is what I want it to say, but have I really lived up to it yet? Marilyn sought to worship Christ with all her heart, to be a living example of His Love, Grace and Mercy. She strived to show gentleness and encouragment to those around her who were hurting and to be a friend to the friendless. But at this point in my life it would probably say: Marilyn tried to keep her eyes on Christ but she kept letting small things get in the way. She needed to spend more time in the Word and in Prayer. How can you, with God's guidance and help, accomplish that which you have just written. Do you have a sense of God's guidance and presence in your Life? What would yours say have you been living your life in His will, reading His word, praying, bringing encouragment to others, gone into the mission field, shown mercy and grace. Take some time to think what He would want to see! Prayer: Lord God, I confess that I have not always kept myself in your purpose for me. Lord, I desire not to be tossed about by the changing winds of culture or to live an aimless life. I choose today to affirm that you love me and created me for a purpose. I choose today to allow You to redirect my life to accomplish that which you have created me for. May that love of God the Father, the presence of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit enable me to live a more purpose-filled life, In Jesus, Amen! Jesus show us how to be more like You! Marilyn

    Is Hell ETERNAL?

God doesn't want to send anyone to hell. That's why He sent Jesus --- to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross (John 3:16,17). Unfortunately, not all people are willing to admit that they sin and ask for forgivenesss. They don't accept the payment of Jesus' death for them. So God lets them experience the results of their choice (see Luke 16:19-31). C.S. Lewis once said that in the end there are two groups of people. One group of people says to God, "Thy will be done." These are those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and will live forever with God in Heaven. The second group of people are those to whom God says, sadly, "Thy will be done!" These are those who have rejected Jesus Christ and will spend eternity apart from Him. Some believe the "fire" of hell is quite literal --- and that may very well be the case. Others believe "fire" is a metaphorical way of expressing the great wrath, of God. Scripture tells us: "The Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God' (Deuteronomy 4:24). "God is a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29). "His wrath is poured out like fire" (Nahum 1:6). "Who can stand when he appears? For He will be like refiner's fire" (Malachi 3:2). God said, "My wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done --- burn with no one to quench it" (Jeremiah 4:4). Whether the fire of hell is literal or metaphorical, it will entail horrible, horrible suffering for those who are there. There are degrees of punishment in hell and will commensurate with one's sin against the light which one has received. One good passage that indicates degrees of punishment is Luke 12:47,48: "That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked". Other verses on this issue include Matthew 10:15; 16:27; Revelation 20:12, 13; 22:12). Jesus affirmed that the wicked "will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life" (Matthew 25:46). Notice that the eternality of the punishment of the wicked quals the eternality of the eternal life of the righteous. One is just as long as the other. This points to the "forever" nature of the punishment of the wicked. It never ceases. The eternal nature of this punishment is emphasized all throughout Scripture. The fire of hell, for example, is called an "unquenchable fire" (Mark 9:43); the "smoke of their {sinners'} torment rises for ever and ever" (Revelation 14:11). Come Soon Lord Marilyn

  11. If Lucifer's fall is described in Ezekial 28 and Isaiah 14, are there any references in the Bible to the fall of numerous angels who became demons? I believe there are some hints in Scripture that help us answer this question. Many scholars believe the first five verses of Revelation 12 contain a mini-history of Satan. In keeping with this, it would seem that Revelation 12:4 refers to the fall of the angels who followed Satan: "His {Satan's} tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth." It has long been recognized that the word "stars" is sometimes used of angels in the Bible (Job 38:7). If "stars" refers to angels in Revelation 12:4, it would appear that after Lucifer rebelled against God, He was able to draw a third of the angelic realm after him in this rebellion. When he sinned, he apparently led a massive revolt against God. If you're wondering whether God's angels can still "fall" today, the answer is no. Following this angelic revolt, God "elected" or permanently confirmed the holiness of the angels who chose to remain loyal to Him (1 Timothy 5:21). God has apparently given them a special grace of perseverance to enable them to permanently retain their position as holy angels. In the Powerful Name of Jesus Marilyn
  12. Hi Sweety I totally understand where you are coming from I have felt that way many times. I even feel that way today a little. My situation is chronic depression, I was diagnosed a few years ago and I'm now on medication. It helps alot but I still have bad days and it doesn't take much to set it off, believe me! But because of the medication I'm on I don't go so far down into the pit of despair anymore. Thank You Jesus! I'm really not exactly sure when mine began, maybe when my marriage was breaking up but it did continue to worsen over the years. I actually attempted suicide a couple of times because I could see no way out of the blackness. But obviously God wasn't finished with me yet! And its never the answer anyway it leads to nowhere and alienation from God. And besides a half hour to an hour later you may feel totally different and by then its too late. It came to a head a few years back I was having a whole bunch of people over for dinner and I should of being feeling happy and excited but I felt miserable. I spent the whole day crying on and off, in my mind I was saying I can't do this anymore I want out permantly. But for some reason that day I got on the bus and went to the emergency department instead. I really don't know how or why I made that decision that day (I do now though it was the leading of the Holy Spirit) because I was completely on auto-pilot. Anyway I got to emerg. and I was crying so hard I was incoherent but thankfully the nurse was on the ball and she called a doctor and then they took some tests and then they brought in the on call psychiatrist and he took some tests. He spent alot of time talking to me about my feelings and then he wanted to admitt me, well inside I just freaked thinking oh know here comes the padded room and the restraints! :oww: And, I thinking I can't do this right now 'I've got people coming for dinner!!' The doctor said whats more important your health or your dinner? I finally was able to talk him out of admitting me promising to call my doctor and set up an appointment. He also asked me questions like 'What day is it?' Who is our Prime Minister, When is your birthday?' I guess I got the questions right cause he let me go!! So I went home and had my dinner party went to a club that night and hated every minute of it, because inside I was dying. I did make an appointment the next day with my family doctor by then she already had the report from Emerg. anyway. So she tried me on several different medications and strenghts before we found one that. Wow it made all the difference in the world to me I started feeling better, I could think clearer and I was able to cope with life around me. To me it was a miracle! Over the years though I've gone through some different anti-depressents because for one reason or another they stopped working. And man alive did I know when they stopped working I could recognize the signs now. Not I'm saying that you are clinically depressed sweety, but it sure would be worth checking it out with your doctor. There is help out there you don't need to suffer with this, it is an illness and its nothing to be ashamed about, millions of people around the world suffer with this. Also councelling is a real good idea whether its with a pastor, minister or someone from the hospital, it sure did help to talk things out with someone who is not involved in your life and can listen impartially. I found out alot about myself through those sessions and I'm so glad I went. So you see sweety all is not lost, there is help out there you just have to reach out a hand and asked for it. One of the first things I learned is that no one can help you it they don't know there is a problem or what the problem is, you have to make that first step. And I know you can do it Little Lamb I have every faith in you! You are precious to God and He wants to restore you to a healthy happy child of His! :t: And you have our prayers and our support, thats what we as Christians are required to do support one another in His love. You are a wonderful person Little Lamb and you are worthwhile and God has big plans for you soon, just reach out and and ask Him to lead you to the right place where you will receive the best councelling and medical help. Can you do that Little Lamb, make that first step? I am praying for you and if you need to talk further you can send me a PM ok? Jesus Loves More Then You Could Ever Imagine Marilyn

  16. I found some glorious Lilacs I just wish we had smellaputer :oww:
  17. I hope I've made my point.... You go girl!! There is NO way our God would keep an infant or mentally Challenged person out of Heaven! It is highly revealing that in all the descriptions of hell in the Bible we never read of infants or little children there. Only adults capable of making decisions are seen there. Nor do we read of infants and little children standing before the Great White Throne judgment, which is the judgment of the wicked dead and the pre-cursor to the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15). The complete silence of Scripture regarding the presence of infants in eternal torment militates against their being there. As we examine instances in which Christ encountered children during His earthy ministry, it would seem that children have a special place in His Kingdom. Jesus even said, "Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:3). He also said, "Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me" (Verse 5). I don't think there is any way someone could read through Matthew 18 and conclude that it is within the realm of possibility that Jesus could damn such little ones to hell! Another consideration that points to the asurance of infant salvation relates to the basis of the judgment of the lost. We read in Relelation 20:11-13 that the lost are judged: "according to what they have done".The basis of the judgment of the wicked is clearly deeds done while on earth. Infants cannot possibly be the objects of this judgment because they are not responsible for their deeds. Such a judgment against infants would be a travesty. These and other scriptural factors make it clear that babies and young children go straight to heaven at the moment of death. Only in His Name Marilyn
  18. Gardening is one of my passions this time of year its an addiction, I can't pass a nursery or gardening section without being drawn in. Lilacs are my favourite flower, their fragrance is unsurpassed. I just wish their season wasn't so short, ours here in Ontario are already fading. I could be surrounded by lilacs and be a happy camper! Have you seen the new yellow variety, they are a pale yellow really beautiful? You know if they can put a man on the moon, you'd think they could come up with a lilac that would last longer. Sorry don't have a lilac picture yet, but roses are a close second!! In Our Blessed Creator's Name Marilyn
  19. Christian UFO researchers have noted that individuals who claim to be contacted by (or become abducted by) UFOs often have a strong prior involvement in some form of ocultism, Brooks Alexander of the Spiritual Counterfeits Project said that "many of the reported cases show some kind of occult involvement prior to initial UFO contact." John Weldon likewise notes that "UFO contactees often have a history of psychic abilities or an interest in the occult." Christian UFO investigator David Wimbish has suggested that interest in UFOs can actuall draw one into the occult: "Many UFO investigators have followed a path that has taken them directly into the world of the occult. They believe they are rediscovering ancient spiritual truths and uncovering new realities about the universe. It's more likely that they are getting involved with some ancient deceptions." Indeed, the UFO phenomenon "has led many to experiment with astral projection, to believe in reincarnation, and to get involved in other practices that directly oppose the historic teachings of the Christian church." Is it possible that UFO citings are actually demonically caused? Yes. But let me qualify what I mean. Many UFO sightings have a natural explanation. Some sightings may even involve deliberate hoaxes. I don't want to imply that every time someone sees an unidentified flying object that Satan is at work. However, I think a case can be made that those UFOs that remain truly unidentifiable --- and especially those that make "contact", or communicate messages to human beings --- are rooted in the work of Satan. First, the messages communicated by the alleged extraterrestrials consistently go against biblical Christianity. The visitors are perfectly in tune with what has become known as "New Age" religion --- Eastern mysticism, astral projection, the harmonic convergence, and so on. They are not at all in harmony though with Jesus Christ, who said, "I am the way the truth, and the life." At the very least, they are more interested in steering us away from the truth of the Bible than toward it." Experts who have long investigated UFOs ---- both Christian and non-Christian ---- have noted the strong similarity between the UFO experience and typical manifestations of demonism. John Kneel, a respected authority on UFOs, said: "The UFO manifestations seem to be, by and large, merely minor variations of the age-old demonological phenomenon," and "the manifestations and occurences described in {the literature of demonology} are similar, if not entirely identical, to the UFO phenomenon itself. Victims of {demon} possession suffer the very same medical and emotional symptems as the UFO contactees." In support of the idea that UFOs may in fact be manifestations of satan or demons is the belief by some individuals that the UFOs themselves are alive. Brad Steiger, for example, said: "I have even come to suspect that in some instances, what we have been calling "spaceships" may actually be a form of higher intelligence rather than vehicles transporting occupants." Likewise, John Keel noted that "over and over again, witnesses have told me in hushed tones, "You know, I don't think that thing I saw was mechanical at all. I got the distinct impression that it was alive." Jesus clearly warned about religious deception in the last days. "At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people" (Matthew 24:10,11). Earlier, Jesus warned His followers to "watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ferociuos wolves" (Matthew 7:15). Could it be that the so-called extraterrestrials seek to appear as benevolent "brothers," but in fact are ferociuos demonic wolves who seek to lead us astray? The apostle Paul sternly warned: "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness" (2 Corinthians 11:14,15). Appearances can be deceiving. This is why we need to anchor ourselves in the absolute Word of God. We Declare His Glory Over All The Earth Marilyn
