Yes, I remember Ted! Maybe he won't even have to go over there. Last time I looked, CNN looked like it's been repeating the same broadcast for about 4 days. I turned it off. I wish they'd show some other news (what, is NOTHING else happening anywhere?!) while there is no 'real' news in the war. Sad about their museums. Those people have no idea what they have destroyed.

Tanks, cat. Looks like it's winding down. I heard that 20,000 troops who were about to deploy were instead sent home!

Hi everyone- I've been a little out of circulation the past few days! (i'll explain that in another post!) Last I heard, there was speculation that Saddam had been killed in the bunker-buster bomb attack. How is that for the name of a bomb?! Anyone else think it a bit cutesy? (I expect to see a commercial on TV for the "Bunker Buster from Ronco" any day now ) Is there any news? Is he dead? Who's running the country? I tried CNN a little bit yesterday but can't get any real update. Anyone else got the real bottom line for me? I missed you guys, BTW!

I don't see why we would witness to believers? Doctors heal the sick, not the well! Do you mean 'witness' or 'fellowship'? They's totally dif'rent.

Kingsheir, I am sorry to be obtuse, but what was your point? That there is a battle for our souls going on every day? We know this, but our souls are safe in the arms of Jesus! Our job is to help those still being fought over; the lost, and get them safely to Christ with us!

Hey, I STILL love Bugs and Road Runner. My faves since I can remember--much better than that old Hanna Barbera stuff! WB forever! Beep beep! That wascawwy wabbit won't get away fwom me dis time! Ooh, "killed da wabbit, killed da wabbit, killed da WAAAH-bit"... I thank my Lord I never had to use an outhouse at home. Only at grandma's out in the country. It scared me to death.

Ted, God Bless you and keep you safe in His arms until you return home. You are an American hero. Please tell the soldiers that we love them and pray for them every day. My dad also served in Viet Nam--2 tours. He was a pilot until glaucoma took that priviledge away from him. He was once shot down in a copter and woke up in mid-air on the side of a MASH copter. He said that was a trip. He was sent right back to the front. He told me enough Army stories to know that though America has not always shown the face of the 'knight in shining armour' that most Americans choose to believe, EVERY soldier is doing his or her duty to God and country and obeying orders. Protecting our Freedom. Protecting our children's future of freedom. Protecting our right to worship the Lord. Enabling others to also enjoy these freedoms. God bless you all.

And there's a store in Knoxville, Tn where you can STILL buy candy cigarettes. And cigarette shaped and colored bubble gum. Red tip and all. :x: And BTW I was on the "Bozo" show on tv as a tot and won a Hi-Ho Cherry-o game for guess what? HULA HOOPING! Does anyone remember an old game where you chant "I'm going downtown to smoke my pipe, I wont be back till Saturday Night", then I forget the rest--I was REALLY little but I remember playing it on my grandma's front porch, the game involved pretending something about someone sneaking in the house while she was gone??? Did anyone mention "Red Rover"? or Wax lips?

Is this serious or a joke? 'Cause a French Mickey D's would be owned by...a FRENCHMAN, and the people working there for a living would be...FRENCH, and if anyone got hurt, it would be a FRENCH employee or a FRENCH customer-- Hard to see how that would hurt the good ole US of A in any way whatsoever-- :uhh: French fries are terrible for us anyway. And I prefer California chardonnay! truffles? Gag! We will survive just fine without them... And Americans will be vacationing there again in another few months--this too, shall pass. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose!

Christian t-shirts and bumper stickers
For Him Alone replied to Ovedya's topic in General Discussion
I own many many Christian T-shirts and wear them out alot. I sometimes forget I have one on until someone else says something about it! I have a bumper sticker that says: "The Big Bang Theory: God Spoke And BANG! It Happened!", but my "Hang Up And Drive" sticker gets much more comment. I wear my Christian logos because I'm proud to be a Christian. I wear my music t's for the same reason--I am proud to be a musician. My Christian logo shirts have opened several conversations with unsaved people! It's a very non-threatening way to witness. And anything that makes it more comfortable to witness to a stranger? O'tay by me, 'panky. -
That was great! Thanks for the link, Lana. I wonder why they didn't have any kids whose mommy was overseas? Your kids did great!

Did she not pay any attention during their courting months? Stuff like this doesn't just "happen". He didn't just "Become" his mother's slave--she should have known who she was marrying... They never discussed her not being "allowed" to work? This just doesn't make sense to me, but oh well, lessons learned and time served and all that... Fortunately I got a great mother-in-law--the SECOND time around. :x: Hope she's enjoying her room in Heaven now... -
Yes, brother! thank you! :il:
