  1. Lex Luthor's plan in Superman the movie, is beginning to sound like a good idea!
  2. Well, I really didn't wanna throw another scripture to the mix, but this one has always been a fave of mine. 1 Timothy 3:16 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
  3. Well, I've read some or the replies. Interesting points. This is what I have to say It's obvious some of us "christians" are picky as to who we would consider "worthy" to be "christianly " to. I think Yeshua put it this way in Matthew 23:13-33 13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. 14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. 15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! 17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? 18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. F44 19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? 20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. 21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. 22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. 23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise F45 and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. 25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Do you see any difference to those offended by this outreach? I don't. The so-called subcultured need love too.
  4. They are not unifoed because there are to many people who rely believing that it is more important for Unity to equal our belief in Christ than our belief in Christ and the Gospel. Go back to the beginning - sorry still learning how to post. Cardcaptor, I really wasn't asking, I guess it was a rhetorical question. My point was that we do have a heck of a lot of denominations because many of the people that started them put there 2 cents in, instead of God's wisdom. If we try to reach for unity, than like someone said, someone has to give in. If we all did that we end up an ecuminical society which will really water down any truth.
  5. This 1914 business is taught in Jehovah Witness circles. They are taught Christ returned in 1914 invisible and that we are in the thousand year reign.
  6. OK like I promised, compare 1 Tim 3:16 in the KJV, NAS and Living Bible Luke 24:52 KJV , NAS I also came across a scripure in the KJV. It was the first verse in a book, when i looked in the NIV, verse 2 was verse 1. I'm don't remember the book, when I find it I'll tell you which 1 it is. More to come if ya want em.
  7. KJV for me. Why so many versions? Well, like some have already said, the devil's tactic. Water down the truth somewhere. If you were to compare some versions side by side, you will find stuff omitted and/or changed in meaning or structure. I'll give you some examples in my next post.
  8. I'm sure I see things greekafied, but I have been leaning toward hebrefying my outlook. After I look at your link I'll have a definite answer.
  9. wow, i'm sorry but those post were too long for my tired eyes to read. can someone condense a comment or 2?
  10. I am of the beleif that Yeshua was born on an important Hebrew holyday.
  11. There are a lot of replies to read, but I did like the way cardcaptors first entry explained it.
  12. Exodus Decoded was very interesting. I enjoyed the fact that it was slated to support The Exodus.
  13. I always thought that boiling a kid in it's mother's milk was kinda like a genetic abomination.
  14. I have always thought Mystery Babylon is/will be an ecumenical world religion.
  15. The Balaam story is proof of God using animals.
