Again, I have to admit I've not seen the scripture/verse but it is my understanding that satan (no caps) hears and knows what comes out of our mouths or when we speak to others....even a whisper under our breaths. But it is my understanding that satan cannot read our hearts or minds or souls...That is only Gods priveledge! great question!

Litmus test for Presidential candidates...Christianity?
MeCajunboy replied to Ddavid from NC's topic in General Discussion
Not being a Christian alone, although it is a mandatory factor for my vote. But should there be some consideration for the Candidate's track record (what he/she has accomplished thus far) and what about INTELLECT? Things of that nature? -
Is it a sin to drive to drive a SUV?
MeCajunboy replied to Ddavid from NC's topic in General Discussion
Come on now Dave, please.....May I suggest another church? If you can see already that you pastor is harping on rediculous rhetoric as this? I would have thought you originally bought the SUV because you are conservative to begin with. I have one and that was my original purpose. NO, I think your pastor is splitting hairs. Much like the hundreds of thousands who threw their TV's to the roads many years ago and then found out they still have to deal with the "foul mouthed" public. Cajunboy -
God's Laws have not changed! Just clarified by the Christ. We are still commanded to "Honor God the Father with all our hearts, souls, and minds. and to Honor or neighbors as we should honor our own lives. And SIN is not honor. It is questioning the "HAND" of God.

Vicki, if you don't want us to debate anything, Simply don't ask the question! Just make a statement and give the support with scripture as you did! Thank you for scriptural support! Cajun

Matt 24:26-50 Jesus tell us about HIS return and the signs to look for and whom to ignore! 29. Immediately after thos horrible days end, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. Another words, if you have to be told that the "end time" is upon us, then it's a pretty good clue that HE HAS NOT! 30. And then at last, the sign of the coming of the Son of Man will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the nations of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. (read on through and into Matt24:26-50 to get the full thought and impact of what and how Jesus' return will come upon us.) Blessings What a great day! And what a great day today can be when we invision HIS coming! So blessed be today to make preperation to complete us getting prepared for the marriage of the great wedding and feast to be with HIM in Heaven forever and ever! Amen ! and Amen! Peace and blessings to all who are prepared and await patiently Cajunboy

Then you don't want to hear from me! Because that's exactly what I would recommend to someone who feels that the got "all religious" lately. Until you are sure in you heart and mind that this will not affect your relationship with God and fellowman....DON'T GO! Let me ask another way...........Why do you feel compelled to Go? If you know the LORD's word on this type of function, there should be no need for discussion. This is much like me saying, "I'd like to attend a convention of Gay,Lesbian Conference just to see what they do there and talk about. I'd be doing it in the name of God! I guess this is all to say, It would depend on the reasoning behind it. If your fellowship took you into this field where you'd be testifying to these lost souls, I might even could understand.

Isn't that a form of "judging" the person you are mourning Carol? I mean, do we really know if "We" are even definately saved, let alone someone who has kept their beliefs hidden or only between themselves and God? Or does the "funeral home" or "Christian Church" proclaim who is or isn't Christian? Not sure how you're coming by that conclusion? -
Remember Monny, God made you just the way you are, and it would be wrong to want to be like anyone else, or to change yourself into what other perceive you should be as. It is good to be compassionate, and have a sensitive side to you. Any good woman you meet later in life will appreciate that later in life. I do enjoy building things with my mind and hands, and I do love gettin greasy working on my automobiles. And I'm an all around fix-it guy around the home. but I also have a very sensitive side to me , especially for God's people and people who are searching for God. And I would not change one iota of my personality now because, this is one trait that many have enjoyed of me. So go and enjoy life and don't try to be what other might feel you need to change of you in your life and enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! In God's love Cajunboy

Blessings Kris, Most of us are all too familiar with you demise. And it's good that you recognize it for what it is and are already making the effort to kick it. We can tell that God is working with and in you at a very young age. And if HE is already I dare say the great man you will become in your life if you can conquere these types of sin now. This is what will show you and others just how strong you can become in God's name. You are pretty much falling into the same patterns that I did and many others, so I will hope to speak for many when I say, this is one of the most comfortable traps that satan catches so many men in and the hardest to steer from , though not impossible! With God, you can do anything! One thing I began doing at a very young age Kris, is to imagine all these young girls as I did my sisters. This should knock those desires right out of the ballpark. I can't imagine too many young people imagining doing anything with their siblings or sisters in that realm! You know? The remainder, you'll have to place in God's hands and every time you have these impulses, GO TO GOD! And let HIM do HIS wonders. But you were right to bring your testimony foward before this grew into more servere problems like porn, as once you've hit this low, it's difficult to not repeat it, although not impossible. Just remember, anytime you feel trapped into any sin or even something you're not comfortable with.........GO TO GOD and let HIM work in YOU. You may even find that when you come out of these kinds of sins, that God will use you to work with others if HE feels you're stong enough! He as many. I'm convinced that that's one method God uses our past sins because after we have learned control, God can use us through HIM to help so many others! Prayers Kris Cajunboy

If someone you love says to you they reject God because...
MeCajunboy replied to Emily~Anne's topic in General Discussion
I would remind you and all who doubt that we are encouraged to look beyond this life if for nothing else, the lessons alone should teach and support the premise that God DOES exist and HE promises us an ETERNITY of bliss and happiness for an ETERNITY. For me, that is enough to get me through a mere 80+plus years of what LIFE and people can dish out in misery and disbelief. For me, there is no question that God is not responsible for what man has bestowed in the way of misery and pain that is being inflicted on man. Each year that goes by proves to be a sign of the times that man is repeating his same mistakes and also proves what God has told us from the beginning of time......"The gates are as narrow as the path for those who struggle along their way to something and Someone who provides so much happiness for an eternity with God forever and ever... Stay focused and never lose sight of the Promise In God Cajunboy -
Sorry, but I have to disagree in part. I believe that God is Jesus incarnate. God used Jesus as the Human Symbol for mankind because many would not be able to comprehend or understand the God of Heaven. I don't think God is of Human Flesh, although HE is quite capable of producing Human flesh of man so man has something tangible to relate to. I believe we will all be as spirits/angels in a sense in the hereafter. But the one or two sitings that have described God in the Bible only spoke of "a brilliant bright light that was viewed a pure as driven snow. Or as when God appeared in the "burning bush." I also believe that the many script/versus you propose are merely synonyms or terms we can use to ascimilate that God is real and present.

You may have a good point there Lady C, I just don't see any point in ignoring someone most of your life, for those who have done it, and because someone is passed, having to show your respect suddenly. Seems to me, if you respected someone you might want to proove that by showing it when they're alive? Wouldn't you think. And how much respect is that for the close "loved one" of the newly departed to have to listed to people giggling and cackling not knowing or understand what other's are laughing about. At least that's what I've noted the few times I've done visitations here at the wake of a relative. -

I don't believe that Chipper. I have to know for a fact that God held your hand through it all. Even when you doubted yourself, HE never doubted you! And look at you now. All shiny and clean and new! That's God shining on you Chip! Luv you brother Cajun -
In agreement KL, But I'm going to go out on a limb here and make an asusmption; something I don't normally do. One of the reasons if a person's lack of committment to learning and gaining wisdom in God's Word. Another reason is perhaps that they have much work to do still in their own lives in gaining grace and peace with God and their not serious enough to willing to make the total committment. Hope I'm not offending anyone, but sometimes you just have to step out in a leap of faith and speak the truth.

I'm going to assume that your final statement is the question you are asking from us. Andrew has never stated that satan is a god in his own right. Only you have assumed that! You stated: (By the way, Plato coined the terms omnicient, omnipresent, blah blah blah. God didnt label himself with those words or terms. ) And I reminded you of synonyms that define the same words you claim to be , "blah, blah, blah." For me and many others here , that doesn't add up to Blah, blah, blah. That adds up to the same thing that Andrew originally posted and you tried to disclaim. Just because you think you can make a claim that one is "misrepresenting" a term or scripture, does not factuate your claim. Others can be just as right as you are. Now I have given you credit in past post from you and you have even taught me a few things that I even thought could be found in the Bible and were not. But this is not one of those cases. Thoughtful, YOU and only you have come up with the premise that satan and God are "two supernatural powers in one religion , and I don't even know who resurrected the term "dualists." But no one else here has made the claim of "two supernatural powers in one religion but YOURSELF! Not Andrew and certainly not myself. So it's quite possibe that you may have to answer your own "made-up question." IN God Cajunboy
