  1. I was merely responding the Adarian's post. Shalom 4 Given, Thanks for clarifying that, I appreciate it! I didn't understand and I HAD missed that part! Np. Funny thing is that when you asked me I wondered if I had lost my mind for a bit because I couldn't find Adarian's post. Shalom 4 Given, And I thought I had lost MY mind and backed out of the thread, thinking I had clicked on the wrong one! :24: Thanks for helping this old lady regain her brain!

  3. Shalom 4 Given, What does this have to do with "Good Friday"? What am I missing here?
  4. Shalom, The message of this video and song are excellent! It is a great witnessing tool, especially during this season. Pleasxe feel free to share it with your friends. Be warned though: the song says Jesus was crucified on a Friday. Please don't let this ruin the ministry of this song and video, there is more at stake here than the DAY He was crucified, but rather it touches on the bigger picture that He WAS crucified, for us.
  5. Shalom, This is a wonderful topic and I thank Revel for posting. I pray Revel will continue these posts! Here is a great website that gives excellent information and also resources for more study and for celebrating G-d's holy days: Biblical Holidays
  6. Shalom Eric, Thank you!!! That was very considerate!
  7. Shalom, Far from where I need to be, praying to be closer. Thank you for this awesome post and reminder challenge.
  8. Shalom Poster, Oh, you are a hoot dear. This is why I've been ignoring your posts of late and I guess I need to go back to doing so. "The poster" needs to disguise your condemnation and false accusations better!! And "the poster"all the time talking about acceptance and grace! The reason I posted the video is because it has wonderful redeeming qualities and is a HUGE blessing from a salvation standpoint, And Yes, I believe they are mistaken about the Friday thing, *DUH, of course I was aware* BUT, the day He died is not an essential to salvation, (the FACT He died is) so in these circumstances, we allow GRACE of beliefs. Something "the poster" might consider. There are people who call Resurrection "Easter" and who believe Jesus was crucified on Friday. We can share the truth with them, but in the end, it is NOT an essential of salvation and there is no wisdom in throwing out the baby with the bathwater. It's a shame "the poster" could not see the wonderful ministry and blessing in the video because "the poster" got offended by the use of "Friday." "The poster" missed out on the deeper message. Vickilynn it was not a personal attack on YOU, you didn't write the song, I'm assuming you didn't perform it either...I was merely speaking of what it did to me when I heard it....and being the mature Christian woman that you say you are I don't understand why you wouldn't appreciate someone not wanting to listen to untruth's about our Savior, even the "minor" errors such as the day He was crucified...if we know the truth then we should not spread the lies nor should we listen to them, regardless of how small they may appear. God bless you Vickilynn... Shalom Jackie, Your words ARE a personal attack on me, too bad you can't see in the mirror as well as you suppose you see others' flaws: This is why I am going back to ignoring your posts. So, please don't bait me any more. I'm don't appreciate the constant personal false accusations and attacks on my integrity. He does, mightily! I pray He blesses you as well Jackie. Shalom.
  9. Shalom Bubba, You're welcome. And for Jackie, ummm, just ignore the part about Jesus dying on Friday and look for the deeper message about His death.
  10. Shalom Poster, What a hoot!! This is why I've been ignoring your posts of late and I guess I need to go back to doing so. "The poster" needs to disguise your condemnation and false accusations better!! And "the poster"all the time talking about acceptance and grace! The reason I posted the video is because it has wonderful redeeming qualities and is a HUGE blessing from a salvation and ministry standpoint, especially to the UNsaved who don't care WHAT day Jesus died! They just need to know that He died for them! s they grow in the faith, they can undertake studying this issue. And Yes, I believe they are mistaken about the Friday reference, *DUH, of course I was aware* BUT, the day He died is not an essential to salvation, (the FACT He died is) so in these circumstances, we allow GRACE of beliefs. Something "the poster" might consider. There are people who call Resurrection "Easter" and who believe Jesus was crucified on Friday. 11. Shalom, This hits hard because I grew up there and know the places they talked about. What a sad, sad thing. I do pray the husband will find Jesus.
  12. Shalom Alan, I will, thank you!
  13. Shalom, AMEN. The same thing with the Internet. It is but a tool. For some it's good, and there are those who get into trouble using it. The problem is the heart, not the tool.
  14. Shalom, I love Toby Mac! One of my fav artists. Awesome ministry. As for the author of that commentary, well, you can find all sorts of kooky opinions on the Internet and that one is pretty kooky.
  15. Shalom Pearl, I sent you a PM with some resources. Let me know if I can help.
  16. ~~bump!!!~~~ This is too good to get buried. It's worth seeing.
  17. That's why I am going to marry him next month!!! :whistling: Shalom Afal, WOW! How cool is that?? Mazel Tov and congratulations! Blessings in Yeshua for your marriage and new life together.
  18. Shalom Alan, I think this is the best, most honest, humble, Scriptural answer I have seen to this question. Would that I too would think this way from my heart.
  19. Whoops! I hope that that doesn't happen to me!!!! Shalom Afal, No, it won't, because your name is not Vickilynn. Walking the walk is a daily, no... hourly, no... minute-by-minute option. We are faced with choices, to walk the walk or not. It is a constant, consistent choice to do things G-d's way, even when faced with the choice to satisfy ourselves and our flesh. We ALL stumble, and the Bible says that anyone who says differently is lying. But, our heart intent and our relationship with Jesus will allow us to ask for forgiveness, repent and get back up to the walk if we fall.
  20. Shalom Afal, I asked that same question in a thread recently and got verbally abused for it! Perhaps those people has stolen a Christian's identity? I looked at the tread and didn't see any abuse. People had differing opinions regarding making pronouncements about themselves, but I don't think that constitutes abuse. A saying I love is: A walk talks, and a talk talks, but a walk talks louder than a talk talks. Shalom Eric, With all due respect, you weren't the one being verbally abused. And Brother, even if we disagree, I AM entitled to my opinion concerning what was said to me. If you'd like to discuss my opinion, perhaps a private conversation might be better-suited to discuss it?
  21. Shalom Pearl, It depends on what size and what other ingredients you use. I encourage people to use all whole grain flour rather than all-purpose. Whole grains go farther, fill you up faster, contain fiber and are basically MUCH healthier than white. Someone will go through more white bread than whole wheat bread because of the fiber. So, if you are stocking up, try using whole grains, they are the healthier and better steward choice. I have some recipes to get you started if you want to start baking bread at home. It's easy! I gotta bake off my whole wheat bagels this morning. I have 2 batches rising, one is whole wheat and honey and the other is whole wheat, raisin and cinnamon. My family loves homemade whole wheat bagels, breads, tortillas, cakes etc. I only use whole grains in my cooking, no white products (flour, sugar, rice etc) and it's so easy to make your own things with whole grain flour.
  22. Shalom Afal, I asked that same question in a thread recently and got verbally abused for it! Perhaps those people has stolen a Christian's identity?
  23. Shalom, First off, I'm not the one who said his hair was dyed. That was LadyC. I know nothing of cosmetology and my gray hair is not covered by dye, so I wouldn't know anything to say about the process. Secondly, this thread is more about SECOND CHANCES than re-hashing all the man's mistakes. Bottom line there, he has publicly repented and met with people and leaders privately to ask for forgiveness for his mistake. He is a professing Christian and it is OUR responsibility to forgive. We cannot see the man's heart and know his intent. Here is a man, who says he loves Jesus, asking for forgiveness. WHO are we to withhold that forgiveness to him and give him judgment instead? Does Jesus do this to US? No. Don't we have a Biblical responsibility to forgive as Jesus forgives us our sins and mistakes? How can we justify NOT acting in a Biblical manner towards a Brother asking for forgiveness? Matthew 6 4 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
  24. This domestically challenged woman can only bow in homage to you, oh Queen! I can barely toast bread; if I HAD to grind wheat and bake it, if that's the only way I could eat, well, it's a safe bet I would starve to death and someone would eventually find me with a Pizza Hut phone menu clutched in one hand and my cell phone in the other. Shalom, Oh Glory!! What a hoot!! Well, what people do in Christian communities is they help each other. Someone may bake (like myself) and someone may sew (which I do not) and someone's husband may work on cars (which we don't) and they all pool their talents, gifts and resources and help each other. IOW, I would bake for your family and you all would help us out as well. At least, that's how it works sometimes with a good bunch of Christians. Anyway, making bread is easy. Getting high-quality grains for milling and cooking is easy too, but not cheap. It's worth it though not to eat at Pizza Hut. eeeeeewwwwww. Well, I think that sharing of talents and resources is a great thing! Our ancestors did that and it worked well for them. Do you think there are any such groups that are in dire need of process engineering? I can lay out and program a mean downhole wedge valve! Shalom Glory, I'm sure there's a need.
