yes - the books of moses !!! LOL (before they could be written, that is)
-
things will surely change when you get to know God. i do agree that you only fully know God when you have listened to His entire word.
-
it's funny you said that !!!! i recently heard a prophetic sermon by david wilkerson that stated something similar. mainstream church will become powerful and influential and practice tolerance and be devoted to social reform. the real church will be underground but will be very poweful spiritually. already, christians in america face persecution. not physically, but we do face much ridicule. those in the lower or lower middle class that are non-professional are left alone more than others. how many lawyers, business executives, doctors and scientists have to hide their beliefs? i think you'd be surprised at the number. another thing for you to ponder, though: some say the falling away happened when islam broke off. muhammed the false prophet, started a new religion then. so, perhaps, the real apostasy has already occured.

if i had a muslim neighbor, i would live in peace with them. one of my daughter's friends is muslim and i do live in peace with her. i would stand up for my beliefs, however, if it came to that. and perhaps they would not find that so peaceful.
-
What do you recommend...another crusade? i recommend we protest against sharia law in whatever form it wants to enter america.
-
of course it don't think it's better not to get along. but i don't think they WANT to be friends. i have studied about this, btw; it's not an impulsive declaration. the islamic agenda is to rule the world.

i do not want to read anything into the post. just being informative.

This really is not stated anywhere in scripture. It is a logical deduction (as is the reformed position that God's glory was the reason He did not save everyone). What is interesting is that people on both sides of the argument agree that there was something more important to God than saving everyone. One side says it was free choice. The other, God's glory. Both sides use a specific set of verses to arrive at their conclusions and seem to ignore others that don't quite fit. It's more than that, Eric. What I mean is, is God's will being done when a person shoplifts? Is God's will being done when some is raped? Murdered?, Robbed? People like myself cannot accept that God's Sovereignty means that God's will is always done especially when acts AGAINST the revealed will of God are being committed. How can God's will be done by someone violating God's Will? Why would the will of God be found in that which God has told us He hates and commands us not to do in the first place? God is sovereign, and God is in control of this world and the universe, but I don't think there is scriptural support for the notion that every action, every choice is God's Sovereign Will being done. I would also find it hard to accept that it glorifies God for someone to die in their sin. God is glorified when people are saved, not when people die without Christ. maybe this will make sense to you. i think of it this way: it is the will of God that presently, the world is given over to the destroyer, the prince of the power of the air. we can't know all the reasons; some, i'm sure, have to do with the angels and the war in heaven. so, although God desires that 'nothing be hurt or destroyed', He has given over that decision for now. this makes me thankful that, for God, a thousand years is as a day. otherwise, how could His grief be endured? (or how could we, weak dust that we are, endure our grief for Him?

He has launched a new era of engagement with the world, including committing the United States to a new partnership with Muslims around the world

Question to those who reason the things of God
Fraught replied to traveller's topic in General Discussion
50/50 for me. i want to let others know if they are looking at something the wrong way and i want to get others' opinions if i have run across something that's new for me or that i don't fully understand. i think that positive reinforcement would be a good thing here. for instance, if i am wrong about something i have posted, i would like to see someone say "yeah, i can see how you might read it that way but have you considered such and such?" know what i mean? -
Then where's the heir? Nebula's Anyone that denies Christ, whether Jew or Gentile, is of the antichrist spirit. Telling the truth about the Jews is not antiSemetic, it's what the bible says. You're misinterpreting scriptures. Nebula's All is antichrist, and we were discussing bible truth and that is one of them. If you're offend because I'm defending bible truth, So be it. The fact of the matter is that the idea of Christ returning to a people that denied, and still do deny him, is anti the bible and is of the antichrist spirit. Nebula's Into the tree of Christ or the original branch that they departed from. Nebula's You're contradicting yourself, you said that they weren't "cast away". What is meant by them being "cast away"? Nebula's Let me guess, you think it applies to a one man to one woman marriage law? BlindSeeker's

thanks for this short post where i could reply directly to it . so . . . i got through the first 2/3 of the first one (stopped where you began about Christ's 1000 yr reign. i am unsure of your reasoning about the 2 churches that are left but will certainly investigate it further. everything else, though, i found extremely thought-provoking and am excited to look at it in more depth when my mind is more rested. am i right that you hinted at a connection between islam and antichrist? i've been studying that myself recently. it's interesting, to say the least.

i hope to read more about this - the first thing that came to my mind was 'miracle'.

What is in a name? Matthew 28:19 " Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, If we don't take anything else away from this post, let us please take this: Revelation 2:13 'I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. -
God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not Allah
Fraught replied to Fraught's topic in General Discussion
God has called Himself the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Here He has made a clear separation. He does not say the God of Abraham, Ishmael and Esau. I think we will be able to easily recognize those christians who name their God Allah. They will be professing their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with the other nations and tribes and languages in the body. If it's the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, all is well. -

I suggest to anyone who will listen that they read the Qu'ran; maybe not the whole thing but enough to know who 'allah' actually is. It's very obvious that 'allah', aka, Ba'al, is satan and mohammad the False Prophet. another aka - the moon god. -
I can tell you that they have nothing to do with the scripture you gave. The locusts that you mention are the number of the people, so many that they are like a swarm of locusts. The book of Revelation is giving a description that I can not totally understand. Some have said that they represent some sort of aircraft of today using some sort of new technology. Others say they will be real insects. I have no idea what the truth really is here. Revelation 9:1-12 (New King James Version) Fifth Trumpet: The Locusts from the Bottomless Pit Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like women

what in the world are the locusts in the book of revelation? look at this scripture: Judges 7 (New American Standard Bible) Judges 6:5 For they would come up with their livestock and their tents, they would come in like locusts for number . . . and Judges 7:12 Now the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the sons of the east were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts . . . I should add this one also: Proverbs 30:27 The locusts have no king,Yet all of them go out in ranks;

This week, I have heard the teachings of both Rico Cortes and Walid Shoebat. I've only begun on the extensive teaching they have available but so far I do know this: There is hardly anything more important for Christians right now than in making sure they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that YWYH is not Allah. I see the seeds of a strong delusion coming that will convince many that they are one and the same. If others could add to this discussion the things that they see and hear around them in the media and, especially, in their own communities that serve to advance this false idea, I think it would really help to keep us on the correct way.
