  1. What are your thoughts, Brother? I would like to hear them ... OneLight
  2. It is a simple command to do........if you dont have neighbors like mine..... When it's hardest, it's the most important! The most important lessons we learn are from the hardest trials! Prepare to be taught by the Spirit, Wingwalker
  3. Yes. People can truly accept Christ into their hearts and keep Him in a very small box until their heart turns as hard as a rock once again. Does this mean that they lost their salvation? Were they ever saved in the first place? Nobody but God knows. All we can do is not judge them and love them as Jesus does. We are His people to do His will. This is one case where I would ask "What would Jesus do"? Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your actions and words when you are with these people. Do not start thumping them with Bible verses, but SHOW them love and acceptance. This does not mean that you agree with what they are doing, but accept them and love them as God has toward all sinners. OneLight
  4. There are 200+ churches, denominations, independents, etc. all claiming the Bible, all claiming to be disciples, all claiming to the Holy Ghost for interpretation, all teaching different doctrines all but one in error, how are we to know the truth??? untill the year 1500 there was one church, it taught the truth! Eph 4:5 One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism! Unity of Faith! Mark One God the Father, one God the Son and one God the Holy Spirit. Each has a purpose. One of the reasons we have the Holy Spirit is to teach us the Truth. Below is scripture that tells us so: 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (New King James Version) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man
  5. No wonder you are so wise! Life's best lessons are learned through trials and tribulations! You Go Mark!!
  6. And where do you think the church gets it from? The Bible. All you have to do is study His Word with the guidance of His Spirit. OneLight
  7. I agree. Pride hides the truth and blinds the eye. A simple statement that we are saved by grace through faith is drawn out to lengthly debates to prove that one understands more and is wiser then another. Where is the love? OneLight yup ... still at it ... this is how we are saved: Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith
  8. For real? WoW!! yup ... you keep good company!
  9. I never would of believe it if I did not hear it in his voice. God does answer prayers, even if it takes a lifetime! OneLight
  10. Funny thing then, for that was one of the statements that was said tonight! Verification from the HS!
  11. I also agree with what you said, but saw that you were standing on a platform with steam coming out of your ears as you spoke! I just wanted to try and calm you a bit. This nation has taken advantage of people not paying attention for years, a little at a time. When I was in my younger years, we could trust those in office. Sure, there were some who took advantage of their power, but never to the blatant degree that they are today. I have been waiting for a revolution since the 60's. Maybe I won't have to wait much longer? OneLight
  12. Sorry to my Brothers and Sisters ... I understand now ...
  13. Look, my teen years were in the late 60's early 70's. What can I say? If you are still here when you reach my age, you may also feel out of place with certain phrases?!?!?
  14. If we go by the Constitution, why are we debating the 2nd amendment? Why does the patriot act allow for search and seizures without a court order? A direct violation of the 4th amendment? or why are boston police searching every home for guns in kids bedrooms, this is an unreasonanle search. Our congress is continually passing laws that directly violate the Constitution. Under the patriot act, the president is allowed to implement martial law if theres a threat to American security. It's written that vague. There is a war on the Constitution and America as we know it. It is being done quietly. There is a conspiracy to form a North American Union and an amero. Most of these candidates are members of organizations that you DON"T get a vote, but plan our fate. "We the people" sounds like great rhetoric. Do you know you labor and then pay a tax on your labor? Why do you think Huckabee says the IRS should be abolished? And yes, Ron Paul. Article 1 section 9 says "we the people" are not to be directly taxed by the Federal government in property, wages, salaries, or earnings. Yet a 16th amendment was made to tax us. Though it was not ratified by 48 states. IRS cases have been won in court, finding the tax unlawful. But you may have to get a good lawyer and go to court to see justice. So you agree with my post? OneLight edited to say I am sorry for calling him John Paul and not Ron Paul ... my bad!
  15. OK You'll all get a good laugh with this, but I thought soul mates were what you had with someone you sex with, cared a lot for, but did not want to marry, as in the 70's??? Someone set me straight
  16. Were you listening to Focus On The Family???
  17. IF Olmert took a good look at the US, he would never agree to have Bush judge anything. What is he thinking? Israel IS a Nation, no matter what Bush chooses to call her. OneLight
  18. faith pleases God, you are voting for John Paul, aren't you? Remember that the biggest words in our Constitution are "We The People". If we forget this, it does not matter who is in the White House. OneLight
  19. When I first started to study the Bible, I discovered that I really didn't understand what feelings and emotions humans experience. I was introduced to a simple, but thought out book called Hinds Feet On High Places, by Hannah Hurnard. It is a simple read, and one I would recommend to any teenager or young adult. If a child is advance in maturity, I would recommend it tho them also. Here is a link to familiarize yourself with the book. http://www.amazon.com/Hinds-Feet-Places-Ha...d/dp/0842314296 OneLight
  20. There are many verses in the Bible that tells us to love each other. As you mentioned, many look for signs of Gods leading in our lives to do a great work for Him, while all the time, all we need to do is love one another as He loves us. That's it. Nothing more. It is so simple, we often overlook its simplicity for a another work that would require us to complete harder tasks with great sacrifices. Little do we know that the greatest sacrifice is for one to lay down their life for another. Love at its greatest. 1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. OneLight
  21. You left out all those nonbelievers that are here. They also make up Worthy. It seems that you are talking about the ideal behind the board, not the reality of it.
  22. All I can say in One World Religion. As for you suggestion, thanks, but no thanks. He can walk in his own shoes. OneLight
  23. If Worthy Boards is the sum whole of those who join, then it is even more then that. To me, it is evangelical. To another, it may be not. But be sure, it is the sum total of everyone here. A melting pot of Biblical discussion. OneLight
  24. The Federal government is not accountable to us. They borrow from foreign sources and the Federal Reserve and are accountable to them. In proverbs it states the borrower is a slave to the lender. We are in a impossible to repay debt. This was done by design. All debts are secured. Do you know what the collateral is on this debt? This is why I'm for smaller government. The smaller the government the smaller amount of damage that can be incurred. The larger the government, well..... we're just starting to find out. Those that are voted into office are accountable to the people who put them there. OneLight Yeah just like Bush is now, huh. He's really giving it to the people like they want it. He's representing, just not us. You pointed to a very bad example, or should I say an example of what not to do. With thinking like yours, we may as well keep our mouths shut and not even vote, cause all is lost. Sorry, but I don't feel that way. It is up to us, as a whole, to put pressure on those who we vote for to become accountable. If enough people stand together, it can happen. Give up and it never will and then we sill have the same ol' same ol'. Your choice fpg. OneLight
