  1. In a nutshell, to answer your question easily these 2 witnesses (Prophets), as some would say either Elijah or Enoch, and others Moses and Elijah were born BEFORE the term Christian was ever mentioned! Before Christ was ever born! Do you call Samuel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, or Daniel .... Christians now? Or are they prophets? Honestly, this discussion has a bit of name-calling and personal inuendos that need to stop. Simply answer questions straightforward and logically. Be blessed, George
  2. Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” This unique passage in Revelation has a warning and a blessing. The first part of this verse was a warning about the suddenness of the Lord’s return as He is coming as a thief to the world not anticipating His return. The second part of this passage was in reference to the duties of the priesthood in the days of the Temple. The Levities were in charge of keeping the Temple holy, day and night. Throughout the evening, the captain of the guard would make his rounds to make sure that those who were assigned watched attentively so that no one would defile the Temple during the night. If a watchman was found sleeping, he was beaten and his garments were set on fire so that he had to return home naked in his shame! It’s hard to imagine any believer sleeping at this hour! We are seeing events unfold with such clarity, there is a sense of urgency as the days grow darker. Let us seize this time, and recognize the great opportunity we have to share the gospel to a world more ready to receive it. To even the most hardened person … they can clearly see that the world has radically changed in ways like never before. You are one of today’s watchmen! As the world gets darker … continue to shine His light — in His love, for you shall truly reap if you faint not! So be blessed … as you continue to watch! Never miss a devotion again! 3. Honestly ... I've shared truth ... I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I just imagine what you could do if you actually were empowered by the Spirit of God! Most people are not "spirit-filled" because they don't even know to ask for it! I pray for a fresh anointing EVERY single time I preach. I ask for a fresh filling of His Spirit every single morning ... I'm a leaky vessel ... and I know I need to be constantly filled with His Spirit! Charles Finney, in his book, "Power from on High" talks about the "baptisms' of the Spirit! Trying to play Bible ping-pong is not my objective ... just real power-filled faith is the goal. if you're not interested in studying the revivals before you ... then I'm not going to waste my time. Be blessed!
  4. Numbers 14:9 Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them.” Yesterday, we learned the root-related Hebrew words for “bread” (lechem), “fight” (lehilachem), and “war” (milchama); three words which share the same Hebrew letters, “Lamed”, “Chet”, and “Mem”. When the twelve spies were sent out by Moses into the land of Canaan, ten came back with a bad report. Joshua and Caleb, however, returned with a good report, saying in essence, “If God is for us — then who can be against us?” The two courageous spies expressed their confidence in a way that was quite cool: “Do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us.” [Numbers 14:9] Now recall the “literal” connection in Hebrew between BREAD, FIGHT, and WAR. Joshua and Caleb were using the Hebrew language to utterly assure the Israelites of YHVH’s power to give them victory in battle. In modern language, one could say, “Don’t worry guys, we’re going to eat them up in this fight, we’ll make mincemeat out of them!” Whether they grasped this linguistic encouragement and the spirit behind it or not, the Israelites allowed fear to paralyze them — and ended up sacrificing an entire generation 40 years in the wilderness. Let’s not make the same mistake, but rather, listen to the clues of the faithful. There is almost a lightheartedness in the language and attitude of those who really trust their God. Fear is alien to them. “We’ll eat them for breakfast!” is their battle cry. “Our enemies are our ‘bread’ and the “war” has already been won!” The nations rage, the rulers take counsel together against YHVH and against His Messiah. YHVH sits in the Heavens and laughs, before He derides, vexes, and finally dashes them to pieces.[Psalm 2] If we’re walking closely with Him there is an authority in our faith because “the righteous are bold as a lion.” [Proverbs 28:1] God has truly provided in every way — our substance, our victory, and our protection. So, do not fear them. Never miss a devotion again! Sign up for our Worthy Briefs! We're being CENSORED ... HELP get the WORD OUT! SHARE!!!View the full article
  5. Probably not a place for this ... but you are ignoring simple timelines of Scripture. Read Acts 2 then Acts 4. Act 2:2 Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. Act 2:3 They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. And then just a few chapters later ... Act 4:23 On their release, Peter and John returned to their own people and reported everything that the chief priests and elders had said to them. Act 4:31 After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Would you do me a favor and read one of the Baptist preachers on the Power of God whose fruit remains today? DL Moody's book on "Secret Power" or R.A. Torrey's book, "The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit" or John R. Rice's Book, "The Power of Pentecost".
  6. In Hebraic thought, a day could also be a 1000 years as a 1000 years is a day in the presence of the Lord. You could easily have a resurrection for those to life before the Millennial reign starts ... and then when the 1000-year reign is completed, a resurrection of those to death at the Great White Throne judgment and that could be as a day in the sight of God. Honestly, time is one of those things with the Lord that is different than our comprehension of it. Since He's eternal, what are 1000 years in light of eternity? Be blessed, George
  7. Honestly, keep praying for him and encouraging him! Love usually springs out of nowhere and when it truly happens -- you know it! The problem usually arises when people go looking for love in all the wrong places. It doesn't sound like it's an issue for him ... and the Lord will provide when the timing is right! Be blessed!
  8. Well, our interest payments are skyrocketing right now. It looks like they will "inflate" their way out of the debt!

  10. Jas 4:1 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? Jas 4:2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. Jas 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
  11. And the irony is that Paul said this about governments and authorities as the Roman Empire that was imprisoning and killing believers ... Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Rom 13:2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, Rom 13:4 for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Rom 13:5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. Rom 13:6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Rom 13:7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
  12. Rom 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Rom 13:9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Rom 13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
  13. Another amazing thing is how people try to read the END of the book without genuinely understanding the BEGINNING of the book. Isa 46:9 remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, Isa 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ Isa 46:11 calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it. Isa 46:12 “Listen to me, you stubborn of heart, you who are far from righteousness: Isa 46:13 I bring near my righteousness; it is not far off, and my salvation will not delay; I will put salvation in Zion, for Israel my glory.”

  15. Well, from a Biblical standpoint ... 1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1Co 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
  16. It's good to see lots of discussion using the Bible as their talking points without it getting personal. Job well done! One thing to remember in discussing prophecy ... none of us have fully comprehended it and if you think you've figured it out ... then you've stopped listening to the gentle moving of the Spirit as prophecy is still unfolding as we speak! I'll give you an example ... just this week, on Worthy Watch I posted a video from Yuval Harari discussing the advent of a coming Ai Bible with a new Ai religion within 5 years. We really could have imagined this idea 20 years ago. The book is still being unsealed ...
  17. Honestly, I believe that free will works with God's predestined plan ... and in one sense, the church can control the speed of His Return. Remember that this gospel must be preached to the ends of the earth ... who preaches the gospel?
  18. Honestly @warrior12, I really believe that this happens because of burnout. I really believe this becomes less of an issue if you dedicate a day or two a week ... ON HIM! Literally, a Shabbat so to speak of reminding yourself of your role in this world and dedicating it to God. Personally, I check out so to speak from my phone/emails/anything online from Friday Evening until Sunday evening. Just that time of disconnecting from the world so to speak and spending some real quality time worshipping just re-aligns the soul to prevent bumps down the road.
  19. The Lord helps those who help themselves ... is a common saying. The thought comes in ... a farmer can't expect to receive a harvest if he doesn't plant seed in his field!
  20. Just so you know @bdavidc ... I went to your site and since you run a WordPress site, you can get our syndicated Worthy News articles posted on your site for free. https://worthy.support/demo is how its shown on your page. Be blessed. Do you have a Statement of Faith on your site?
  21. Incredibly, this story and related Biden stories are completely ignored by the press. It's a sad day in history when the biggest scandals are LITERALLY swept under the rug. Freedom of the Press was to keep the government in check and act as a watchdog ... and when it doesn't ... then what does that say about where we are in history?
  22. Shalom everyone, Just so you know, I added some functionality to the forums to allow contributors the ability to change the way they view the forums. It's default is the traditional format that we've had for 20 years. However, I added some features to allow you to customize your view. You can view the functions on the main page ... With these 3 options you can change the view of how the forums appear to you. The 4 lines (hamburger) ... is the traditional format. The second option ... the GRID format allows you to view it in a grid type setting. But the exciting view is the one that allows the reader to view the LATEST topics on ALL the forums instantly. You can also choose which forums you want to view in this format by checking boxes to the far right in a desktop setting. Be blessed, George
  23. Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” The Hebrew language contains numerous words that have the same root yet vast differences in meaning. On deeper examination however, these words can be related in illuminating ways. For example, the three Hebrew letters –“Lamed”, “Chet”, and “Mem”– which spell, “lechem”, or “bread” in English, are also the root letters for “fight” (lehilachem) and “war” (milchama). For centuries Rabbis have discussed and debated the connection between these three words. Some Rabbis wrote that ancient wars were primarily fought over bread (economic/sustenance). Others wrote that in order to make bread, you have to beat or kneed the dough. Still others suggested that man first has to sweat and struggle for his daily bread from the ground [Genesis 3:19], and then again, struggle with his fellow man to keep it. These explanations begin to establish a possible connection… Interestingly, the book of Exodus contains these root-related words within a span of three chapters. As the children of Israel were leaving Egypt they found themselves surrounded, with the Red Sea before them and the army of Egypt behind. At this critical point Exodus 14:14 declares, “YHVH will fight for you (yilachem lachem); and you will be silent.” Then, Moses and Miriam’s victory song in chapter 15 exults, “YHVH is a man of war”, “YHVH Milchama.” Further on in Exodus 16, we read that God provided bread (lechem) from heaven! We can begin to observe that the root letters of words in the Hebrew language are not haphazard or accidental. And while it may seem obscure, what we find in these chapters in Exodus, words derived from the the same root, (“lamed”, “chet”, “mem”) actually foreshadow a New Testament reality in the life, identity and work of Yeshua the Messiah, who is the perfect image and expression of YHVH. John 6:48 reveals Yeshua’s (Jesus’) identity as our bread (“lechem”) of life; then, Revelation 19:11 reveals a “rider… called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war (milchama”). Know that the Lord has you covered in every way! He is the one who FIGHTS for you, and the one who PROVIDES for your every need. The “root connection” between these two words can be no accident when we realize that the Living Word Himself gave them as a testimony to these essential aspects of His love and care for us.
