i kinda know where you are coming from. not in a marrige but i went to a church before that believed similar to ur hubbys or what i think i have read he believes. it can be a difficult situation especially for you. here is what i have learned from listening to that belief and studying the word for myself. God is soverign. and we do have free will. God has chosen an "elect" however even the elect can turn from God. dont believe it? fall into sin and dont repent. free will is God basicly being a perfect gentleman. never forcing himself on you but allowing us to chose him or not to choose him. to choose life or death... This is backwards from the evolutionary theory of natural selection, which states that birds adapt and change in order to survive better in their environment. The bird with a half-size wing is placed at a disadvantage in its environment. Why would the bird continue for millions of generations to improve a wing stub that is useless? The theory of evolution is based on natural selection of the most adaptable member of a species, not the weakest. A bird with a useless wing is at a severe disadvantage. This is the opposite from natural selection. According to natural selection, the members of the bird species with the smallest useless wing would be the most adaptable and most likely to survive in the largest numbers. According to the theory of natural selection birds could never evolve to fly. Evolution is simply nonsense. The bird is said by evolutionists to grow hollow bones for less weight in order to fly. How would a bird pass this long-term plan to the millions of generations in order to keep the lighter bone plan progressing? The idea that birds or anything else has million-generation evolutionary plans is childish. The evolutionary concept of growing a wing over millions of generations violates the very foundation of evolution, natural selection. Birds aren't the only species that proves the theory of natural selection to be wrong. The problem can be found in all species in one way or another. Take the fish for example. We are told by evolutionists that a fish wiggled out of the sea onto dry land and became a land creature. So let's examine this idea. OK, a fish wiggles out of the sea and onto the land, but he can't breathe in air. This could happen. Fish do stupid things at times. Whales keep swimming up onto the beaches where they die. Do you think the whales are trying to expedite an multi-million generation plan to grow legs? That concept is stupid, but let's get back to the fish story. The gills of the fish are made for extracting oxygen from water, not from air. He chokes and gasps before flipping back into the safety of the water. Why would he do such a stupid thing? This wiggling and choking continues for millions of generation until the fish chokes less and less. His gills evolve into lungs so he can breathe on dry land, but now he is at risk of drowning in the water. One day he simply stays out on the land and never goes back into the water. Now he is a lizard. Giant dinosaurs literally exploded onto the scene during the Triassic period. The fossil record (petrified bones found in the ground as at the Dinosaur National Park in Jensen, Utah, USA) shows no intermediate or transitional species. Where are the millions of years of fossils showing the transitional forms for dinosaurs. They do not not exist because the dinosaurs did not evolve. The evolutionist will claim that the presence of many individual species proves evolution. This shallow statement is devoid of reason, logic and scientific proof. Evolutionists line up pictures of similar looking species and claim they evolved one to another. The humans "family tree" is an example of this flawed theory. Petrified skulls and bones exist from hundreds of species of extinct monkeys and apes. Evolutionists line up the most promising choices to present a gradual progression from monkey to modern man. They simply fill in the big gaps with make-believe creatures to fit the picture. This procedure can be done with humans only because there are many extinct monkey and ape species. They never do this with giraffes, elephants or the Platypus. The pictures are placed in all of the text books that evolutionists use to teach kids this nonsense. The pictures are simply a grouping of individual species that does not prove evolution. Charles Darwin admitted that fossils of the transitional links between species would have to be found in order to prove his "Theory of Evolution." Well, these transitional links have never been found. We only find individual species. Evolutionists try to form these individual species into a link according to similar major features, such as wings or four legs, but this simply proves the Theory of Evolution to be a fraud. Darwin was hopeful that future fossils would prove his theory correct, but instead, the lack of transitional links has proven his theory to be wrong. i could keep on putting this up here but just google it. how is evolution false. google it. now i ask you how can you prove evolution?

Pssst--science never "proves" anything. Proof is only for math and whiskey. A scientific theory by the way is not a "guess". It is the best explanation for the physical facts. you are just trying to twist words. theory- comes from the greek theoria-defined as a looking at, contemplation, speculation. or a speculative idea or plan as to how something might be done. key word here is speculation evolution is a theory. best explanation is still a theory. after all it is called, "the evolution theory" btw science proves lots of things. its why many people are locked up today. edited portion: also another way to say best possible explanation is, my "guess" is.... there is also a thing called scientific law opposed to scientific theory. the scientific laws are indeed something proven by science hence science proves stuff.

the title of this thread is: Richard Dawkins "The Genius of Charles Darwin" a comment? heres a comment. evolution is a theory. science calls it a thoery. science cant actually prove it. with science. charles darwin came up with theories. nothing, by science can be 100 percent concluded by his research, and yet men refer to him as the title of this thread, a genius. doesnt this reflect a little bitty bit upon the intellect? until science can prove something, such as evolution, the scientists shouldt be all gung-ho about trying to get everyone to believe their theories. and also to disprove God or any religon. if you notice nature shows will briefly comment about how its all a theory but then quickly run off with this theory as truth and speak as though evolution is matter in factly.

the Lord can and does deliver from addicitons. sometimes "bad things" have to happen in life for certian people to realize thier need for God. however as a taxpayer i dont want my money funding someones crack/whatever drug they do habit. or the ability to make crack babies. if you want to smoke crack you should at least work to fund your habit. not saying drugs are good if you work for them but its better than stealing, prostituting, and/or sucking up tax dollars. i didnt vote.

But I think it only points out my issue with the use of the term "Darwinism". The real issue that creationists have is with evolution, not "Darwinism". But throwing out Charlies name demonizes the concept and him. Scientists have many issues with the process that Darwin described. Look at Gould for example. But the theory of evolution in its broadest sense is one that 99.99...% of scientists accept. It is supported by every branch of science. darwinism is deception. therfore it is demonic.
