  1. Titus chapter 2 verse 11-15: 'For the grace of God that brings salvation, has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, EAGER TO DO WHAT IS GOOD. These then are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.' In general, what is the meaning of grace? Grace means favour, or favoritism. When someone does something for you out of his love or preference for you. So, what does it mean to have the grace of God? That means God has chosen you above everyone else, to offer you salvation. To offer you a way out of your sins. That is the meaning of God's grace or favour upon your life. In John chapter 14 verse 6, Jesus says, "No one can come to the Father except through me." That means that if Jesus does not favour you above others, to call you towards himself, and his Father, you can never obtain salvation. You can never come out of your sins. Salvation means being saved from sin and its consequences. An excellent example of God's grace or favour can be found in the book of Acts chapter 9, where it talks about the story of Saul on the road to Damascus. When you start reading from verse 3, that is Acts chapter 9 verse 3, it says, 'As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. And he fell on the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul who do you persecute me?" "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting." Jesus replied. From this short conversation, we learn that Saul was not aware of his sins. He did not know that what he had been doing, that is, attacking the Christians or followers of Christ, or believers of Christ, was a sin. Saul was brought up in Judaism. and to him, that was the only way to God. However, when Jesus encountered him, he let him know, or made him aware that what he had been doing was a sin! So, Jesus favoured Saul for salvation. He granted him his grace, in order that he would be free of sin. When the grace of Jesus, or the grace of God comes upon you, it makes you aware of your sin. And once you gain that awareness, once you realize how dirty you appear, once you realize the burden that you have been carrying around all your life, your next step would naturally be to accept Jesus as the one who can remove that burden of sin from you. You would want to be clean! You would want to be free! You would want to be born again! Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 says that, 'We are saved by grace - not good works.' That means, it is God who calls us out of our sins, not our own good deeds. We cannot obtain freedom from sin if we simply do good things. Good things such as donating food items or money, being respectful of people, especially those older than us. Even being a good wife or husband, cannot help you obtain salvation. In Romans chapter 3 verse 22, the Lord lets us know the kind of righteousness that can lead to salvation. It says, This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe. Therefore, the only way to be saved, is to be righteous in the way of God, by believing in Jesus Christ. Now, how do you believe in Jesus Christ? You cannot believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, unless he first calls you. It says that no one can come to the Father, except through Jesus. And you cannot come to Jesus, except he calls you. Remember that Saul could never have become a Christian if Jesus had not met him on the road to Damascus and called him out of his sins. Now, when Jesus calls you, he makes you aware that you are a sinner. Once you become aware of your sins, that is when you will want him to heal you of those sins. Jesus is a doctor! He is a great physician who can cure every kind of disease, that is sin. You cannot be made aware of your sins, your disease, and ask for Jesus to heal you, and then return to that disease again. lThe grace of God does not mean continue to sin, and God will have mercy on you. The grace of God means, God has chosen you for salvation, and once he has made you aware of your sins, you need to follow his path, alone. Romans chapter 6 verse 1 says, 'What shall we say then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?' By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?' In Galatians chapter 2 verse 20, Paul says, "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Romans chapter 10 verse 9 says, 'if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.' Most people believe that this is all it takes to obtain salvation, and a ticket to heaven. In James chapter 2 verse 19 the bible says, 'You believe that there's one God, good. Even the demons believe and shudder!' When you confess that Jesus is Lord, you admit that you are a sinner and that he is the one who can set you free from sin. Your journey to being redeemed starts with you confessing that you are indeed a sinner. If you have confessed your sins and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that God raised him from the dead, then the next step will be to follow Jesus by obeying his teachings in the bible. In Galatians chapter 5 verse 22, we learn about the fruits of the Spirit of God. That means the things that show that the Spirit of God is within us, after we have confessed and believed in Jesus. Self-control, Patience, Kindness, Faithfulness and Gentleness are some of them. The opposite of the spirit of God, is the spirit of the devil which produces things like Sexual Immorality, Fits of Rage, Drunkenness Discord, Witchcraft, and Orgies. The bible lets us know in Galatians chapter 6 verse 7, Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, whatever a man sows so shall he reap. Verse 8 says that, The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction. On the other hand, the one who sows to please the Spirit of God, will reap eternal life. In Romans chapter 12 verse 1 to 2, it says, "Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship." In verse 2 it says, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing, and perfect will." What does this mean? It means that you need to make a consciousness decision to change the way you think, in order to be able to truly accept the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to change how you think about sin. Don't say, it's okay if I dress this way because I have accepted Jesus in my heart. And the bible says that it is by grace that we are saved. So Jesus does not require me to change my way of life. In reading Romans chapter 12 verse 1 again, it says, Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy." If God has favoured you for salvation, then you need to abstain from sin. 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 says, 'If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, and the new has come.' Therefore, you cannot claim to be saved and on your way to heaven, just be confessing with your tongue and believing that Jesus is Lord. You need to change your ways! Romans chapter 8 verse 14 says that, All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. If you are being led by the Spirit of God or the Lord Jesus, then you will naturally abstain from the desires of the flesh. Some of which are fornication, lies, swindling, evil thoughts, greed, envy and jealously. In conclusion, the grace of God calls you out of sin. It makes you aware of your sins and when you become aware of the filth or darkness that you are living in, you would naturally want to come into the light. You cannot come into the light of God, and then want to remain in sin. If God's grace makes you free to sin, then why does it says in 1 Corinthians chapter 6 verse 9 to 11, "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor the idol worshippers, adulterers, male prostitutes, or homosexual offenders will inherit the kingdom of God."
  2. How well have you learned to hear your Father’s voice? God really does have a voice and currently speaks to anyone who can hear Him: Jer 7:23 (God)…Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people… that it may be well with you. Joh 10:27 (Jesus) My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. Heb 3:7-8 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His (God’s) voice, do not harden your hearts…” Who is your real Daddy, the Father of your spirit – Do you always recognize His voice? Heb 12:9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits (and the Father of my spirit) and live? Jam 1:17 …The Father of lights…(are you one of the Father’s lights?) John 8:12 (Jesus) "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." (how does His light get into us?) 2 Pet 1:19 …The prophetic word…which you do well to heed (hear) as a light that shines in a dark place…(Jesus, the word of God, in our hearts is our light) Mat 5:14-16 You are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matt 23:9 And don't address anyone here on earth as 'Father', for only God in NLT heaven is your spiritual Father. (Don’t you know your own Father’s voice? What kind of a child doesn’t know his Father’s voice? Only a prodigal child) Perhaps you have a major (or minor) decision to take, perhaps you are facing a crisis, or perhaps you are troubled by some habit or a relentless pattern of thought – the first question will always be: What does God say? What does your own Father have to say? Matt 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God (in your heart) and His righteousness (His word is righteousness) and all these things shall be added to you. Every Christian has personally heard God’s voice at least once. Otherwise they couldn’t have been born again as a Christian: Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door (of a person’s heart) and knock. If anyone hears My voice (My word) and opens the door (by believing Me), I will come in to him and fellowship with him…That’s how we’re born again 1 Pet 1:23 Being born again…by (hearing the voice of) the word of God… KJV Some Christians can recall the very first time God spoke directly to their hearts through a scripture and they were born again – others may not have such a recollection but virtually every Christian has experienced, even if just very occasionally, a scripture seeming to come alive to them, to jump off the page and resonate deep within them. And the words of that particular scripture became to them extremely precious and different from the rest of scripture. That was the voice of God speaking personally to them. Sadly, this hearing God speak, which should happen every day, is for many Christians only a very rare occurrence. With what part of me can I hear my Father’s voice? Matt 11:15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (and they all had natural ears) Jesus repeats this statement about 14 times in the New Testament, more than any other statement. It must be important. What type of hearing was He talking about? What kind of ears was He referring to? Four times in scripture this answer is given: Heb 3:7-8 …Today, if you will hear His (God’s) voice, Do not harden your hearts So, we can only hear God’s voice with our hearts, meaning we can only hear God, who is a spirit, with our own spirits – which is the part of us that He is the Father of. 1 Pet 3:4 But let it be the hidden person of the heart…the beauty of a meek (hearing) and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. Prov 20:27 The spirit (God uses spirit and heart interchangeably in scripture) of man (or woman) is the lamp (place of illumination, the entrance of His words spoken by His voice brings light) of the LORD... Jer 24:7 (your Father speaking) I will give them (you) a heart to know Me… But even then, we will only hear Him with our hearts if they remain tender and we haven’t allowed them to become hardened. When our hearts become hardened we become dull of hearing or spiritually deaf – we cannot hear God: Heb 5:11 Concerning this we have much to say which is hard to explain, since you have become dull in your spiritual hearing… AMP And what is it that we do that makes us dull of hearing and unable to hear the voice of our Father? Only one thing, which is why our Father wants to keep us from it – sin. Heb 3:13 Speak to each other about these things every day… so that none of you will become hardened against God, being blinded by …sin. TLB Is My Father’s voice audible to my natural ear? We hear God’s voice only with our hearts. The Holy Spirit is the living voice of God. He may speak through the word of God, through another person or directly to me. When He speaks through the word of God, I may be at the time reading it with my natural eyes or hearing it audibly with my natural ears, but the only important question is; are these words silently speaking to my heart? God will always speak to a heart that is tender and meek toward Him, that therefore can hear His voice. All Christian growth, and all Christian ministry, depends on hearing, believing and obeying the voice of God. Ps 89:15-16 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound (of God’s voice)They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance (the light of the words you speak). In Your name (your word) they rejoice all day long… You and I will also face many critical moments in life, the outcome of which will depend entirely on whether we heard and then held fast to what God said to us. These pivotal moments can alter the course of our or other people’s lives. Our loving Father wants us always to hear the wisdom of His words. He even invites us to ask Him in prayer: Ps 143:8 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness (Your loving words) in the morning, For (because) in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For (because) I lift up my soul (my will) to You. If I can’t hear God speaking to me, am I listening to other voices, completely unaware? John 10:5 (Jesus) Yet they (My sheep) will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. If my heart is hard because of sin it is likely that I will not hear the voice of my invisible Father – recognizing it doesn’t have to stay that way one moment longer, for receiving God’s forgiveness will immediately soften my heart. But while it stays hard, there will be other voices from equally invisible beings, called strangers, speaking to me through thoughts. Thoughts, contrary to God, suggesting what I should do and say. I will likely assume that these thoughts are my own, but they are not, they are from evil spirits. Hearing and knowing God’s voice is something a son or daughter must constantly learn. It takes time to learn to hear our Father’s voice. But if we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit, who is the voice of God, He will teach us. His “still small voice” is not burdensome and driven. He teaches us with a comforting gentleness, feeding us our daily bread through the words He speaks to our hearts. Initially it will be only at live meetings (where the Holy Spirit is leading) of the Church, then through inspired writings and audios that all teach me how to hear My Father’s voice, both from the Bible, by His Spirit, and directly from the Holy Spirit, all through the day. John 8:47 (Jesus) He who is of God hears God's words; … John 18:37 (Jesus) …Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice Rom 8:14 For as many as are led (because they hear His voice) by the Spirit of God, these are the sons (and daughters) of God. Are you getting to know the voice of your Father? Do you hear Him, through scripture and in direct conversation, better and more clearly this year than last year? Are you, by faith and under His teaching, constantly allowing Him to improve your daily communication with Him? Praise the Father of our spirits, we have ever increasing faith in Him as we hear His voice speak to our heart through His words! Amen
  3. Ephesians 6:16,17 - "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God". Some are willing to spend hours in prayer asking for a miracle instead of planting the Word of God in their hearts, which in time would produce the miracle. Prayer is what water and fertilizer are to a seed. They help the Word release its life. But if you haven't planted the seed, it doesn't matter how much water and fertilizer you apply, the soil still won't produce fruit. It's the seed that has life! Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT I WEAR MY SALVATION TIGHTLY AROUND MY MIND LIKE A HELMET. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW HARD THE DEVIL TRIES TO HACK AWAY AT MY MIND, I STILL STAND STRONG BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT JESUS' DEATH AND RESURRECTION PURCHASED FOR ME! Hebrews 4:1 = "Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it." "What is rest? -- It is abandoning the need to control -- The worries whichincite you to control keep you from resting. When you try to make everything happen your way, you have no rest. The worries which make you doubt other people multiply in your imagination as you think about all the things they might do wrong. Even when you curtail your activities, you find no rest when you worry. Resting is not a matter of physical stillness; it is peace in the inmost being, which comes from trusting Him with all your circumstances. Change the way you think in life-giving ways. It won't work if you do it on a performance basis because it's a lifestyle change. Think of it as changing your style to receive life – a lifestyle. You're not at the mercy of your emotions; your emotions are subject to your righteousness. You are a righteous person. (2 Corinthians 5:21). You can do this. Learning to rest is a process. Pick one thing that you struggle with and make an effort to commit it to Him. Then, whenever you find yourself failing to do that, recommit it to Him with greater fervor. Gain one victory like that and the others will become simpler.Hebrews 4:3,11 - "For we which have believed do enter into rest...Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest...." Song of Solomon 1:2 - "Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth." Observation: GOD UNITES HIMSELF WITH MY SPIRIT, AND I AM ABLE TO BEGIN TO EXPLORE THE FULLNESS OF GOD. THE JOURNEY TOWARD THIS COMPLETE UNION IS A PLACE WHERE MY SPIRIT IS COMPLETELY POSSESSED BY GOD. CONSIDER THAT JESUS IS CALLED "THE WORD." THE "KISSES OF HIS MOUTH" IS NOTHING LESS THAN THE VITAL COMMUNICATION OF THE WORD OF GOD TO ME. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRYhttp://afministry.ning.com

  5. Hey everyone! I have another question to ask that I can't seem to get out of my head. When it comes to preaching the gospel or sharing with others in a conversation with someone else. Why do they suddenly assume we are forcing it down their throats? When we as Christians don't even invite them to church or tell them "You have to accept Jesus or else!" I mean, I've shared the gospel with people in conversations without bringing up the church or forcing them. I don't understand why they have to assume things when the conversation is just reflecting off of a story a disciple went through. I hope my questions make sense, I see the world differently due to my Autism. Feedback would be appreciated.
  6. Romans 4:17 - "Even God who quickeneth the dead, and called those things which be not as though they were." Many people know what it means to have "common sense", which is sound, practical judgment. "Christian sense", on the other hand, involves seeing adverse circumstances through the eyes of faith and exercising your God-given authority to change those circumstances. Jesus taught His disciples how to change negative circumstances. The Bible tells us that He cursed a fig tree with words and with 24 hours it dried up from its roots (Mark 11:12-14; 20,21). In verses 22 and 23, Jesus explains how to achieve these kinds of results. In today's language He would probably say, "Have the God-kind of faith. Declare what God's Word says about your circumstances, no matter how great they are, and then expect results." Mark 11:22-24 - And Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours." Affirmations: THERE IS NO ADVERSE CIRCUMSTANCE IN MY LIFE THAT I CANNOT OVERCOME WITH THE GOD-KIND OF FAITH. WHEN MY WORLD IS OUT OF ALLIGNMENT I CAN GET IT BACK INTO ALLIGNMENT. ALBERT FINCH MINSITRY
  7. "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever." - Ephesians 3:20-21 Our very best days are right before us, not behind us! Consider the Message Bible's version of this Scripture: "God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us." God can do anything. And what's more, our mighty King has outstanding plans for each and every one of us, plans that are more wonderful and sure than we could "ever imagine or guess or request"! The Lord assures us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 that, "No man has ever seen, heard or even imagined the wonderful things God has in store for those who love the Lord." BELIEVE FOR A STRONGER ANOINTING God's spectacular plans for you are only for your good (Jeremiah 29:11). Even if you are facing great hardship, take heart! We have His precious promises as our comfort, joy and security. No matter what trial you are experiencing in your health, finances, marriage, children or with your loved ones, God has unimaginably great blessings in store for you as you simply turn to Jesus, to His Spirit within you and His living Word. We know that each and every one of His promises are true and His Word promises a certain, divine turnaround. All of Heaven and earth may pass away, but God's Word never fails us. God desires to take us to new levels of victory in every area of our life. The Lord Jesus Christ wants to give us more of His wisdom so we can make better decisions (James 1:5). He longs to give us a stronger anointing so we can advance in His purpose for our life (our DESTINY in Christ) (Psalm 92:10). The Lord also wants to bless us financially so we can be a blessing to others (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). LIFT OUR VISION UP We need to avoid the old ruts of fear and unbelief. Submit to the God of peace, resist these demons and they will flee from you (James 4:7). Instead of receiving fear and unbelief, receive His precious promises as rock-solid truths and begin to act accordingly, CONFESSING OUT LOUD and giving thanks that your Father is certainly doing "exceedingly more" than you can even imagine. The Lord Jesus Christ is inviting us to lift our vision up, above our circumstances and situations, to fix our eyes on Him and His Word. As we do this we can expect to see the glory of God fill our lives and those who we touch. We accept His invitation to come up higher (Revelation 4:1-2) by focusing on Christ our Redeemer, Deliverer and Healer, not our difficulties. God has new frontiers of the spirit for us to explore and higher mountains of faith for us to climb. There is so much more to life in Christ than we can ever imagine! In His Presence we find true fulfillment and lasting joy (Psalm 16:11). ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. The Word of God is a must-read for any Christian. It's words are basically life for me and you. But I really want to know how to apply it, since I'm struggling (hence the name) to apply it. For this reason, I've felt that I'm getting nowhere. So please reply and help me! I've been facing this for months now! I thought it was simple to apply it but I was wrong. Just please help me.
  9. Often times, I find the Bible hard to read and understand and I know that many New Christians have the same problem. So to all those experienced bible readers, pastors, evangelists, ministers, disciples and generally those who served our Lord Jesus Christ for a long time, how do you read the bible? I'm brand new to the faith so bare with me. I'm still a "babe in Christ" if you understand.
