Hopefully I'm wrong but there seem to be a lot of hatred in some of these posts. No I did not vote for President Obama but like it or not he is our president and as such yes I may disagree on a lot of issues with him but as long as he tries his best and doesn't go against God's Word (Acts 5:29), he will have my support and my PRAYERS. I know the man is anti-life on abortion (please don't use the other term for his side, as I don't believe they are pro at all), but as a register republican I think I've heard the right answer given by the Republicans but no action token. King Saul disobey God and lost his kingdom, for his descendants. Yet David words and actions were these "Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm." (I Chronicles 16:22; Psalms 105:15) Please this is still the United States of America we have a right to criticize anyone, but remember most of us are Believer in OUR GOD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. Paul wrote "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, BUT THAT WHICH IS GOOD TO THE USE OF EDIFYING, THAT IT MAY MINISTER GRACE TO THE HEARERS." (Ephesians 4:29) "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice." (Ephesians 4:31) I guess what I'm trying to say is before you criticize our President please make sure you prayer for him and our country. "(1) I Exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be may for all men; (2) For kings and for all that are in authority; THAT WE MAY LEAD A QUIET AND PEACEABLE LIFE IN ALL GODLINSEE AND HONESTY." (I Timothy 2:1-2) "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers, FOR THERE IS NO POWER BUT OF GOD: THE POWERS THAT BE ARE ORDAINED OF GOD. " (Romans 13:1) see II Peters 2:10-

He was not my choice, either. I think we should pray for all our leaders. He is our President and as such needs prayer that God will lead and direct him to do His Will. Hatefulness and spite are such negative and hurtful emotions - I pray for our country every day. All this may sound simple, but that's how I feel. God Bless. Guest LadyC
i hate his policies, but i don't hate the man. he will have my prayers, but does NOT have my support, and frankly shouldn't have anyone else's either as long as he continues on the path he is on. give him a chance? he's been in office almost three months and has already firmly directed our country farther down the path of financial and moral ruin than we've ever been. God tells us to be subject to the governing authorities, and we are to pray for them. nowhere in scripture that i am aware of does God instruct us to support his actions or policies. He also doesn't appear to be a Believer, despite his claims to be a 'Christian'. To tell the truth about what we see is not hate. He recently signed a bill rescinding the ban on fetal stem-cell research. (This Monday I believe) Are we supposed to pat him on the back? Only God can change his heart. I pray God will do as He has purposed with Obama.

Many of the post on here about Pres Obama are very hateful Is unadulterated hatred of Bush allowable then?

The "hatred" of Obama pales in comparison to the hatred that was constantly spewed forth for Bush, from all sides. The Dems weren't bashful about saying they wanted Bush to fail. And no one has said they wanted Obama to fail, unless his policies would destroy the country, and they will.

I pray that Obama's Socialist Agenda and Ideology fails. It will make people poorer and take away Liberty in America. I also pray that God opens his eyes to Life and how important it is to God. I pray that if he is not Saved that God would Save him. I pray that God would Liberate him from Black Liberation Theology as he heard it in Reverand Wrights Church for years and years. I pray that Gods Mercies would be new and tender every day towards our Nation and our Leaders. However, I also pray that Righteousness would rule the land and I pray that this would begin with the House of the Lord so that God will hear our voice and heal our Land. We can disagree with him and his policies and Ideological agenda. We can also point this out and that is not hatred. Peace, Dave

That is VERY true. The O.P. does have a point though; the hatred of Obama, and anyone considered 'liberal', comes through loud and clear in some posts I read here. That isn't good for anyone. I didn't vote for him either but, like it or not, he's the President and we have to try to work with that and try to influence our government in any way we can. Especially since, unless someone really great steps up to the plate from the GOP, he'll be relected in 2012.
