a few months ago at my church, our pastor asked all young people, age 29 and younger, to come to the front of the church to be prayed over. one thing he said while we were up there really struck me. he mentioned that our generation is the first that has the capacity to fulfill the "great commission": "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." (matt 28:19).

that's true. just 30 years ago, it wasn't possible to take the gospel to every nation and every people of the world. with our generation, it's possible.

i have been noticing especially over the past year just how much satan is attacking today's young people. there's so much apathy, depression, bitterness, self-mutilation and sin among young people today, even among those who know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. now i know why: the enemy knows that WE have the potential to fulfill the great commission and he's going to great lengths to throw us off track.

satan's doing a good job of it, too. i think that one of the reasons he's so successful is because most of the Church (in the western world, anyway) isn't very much aware of the spirit realm. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (ephesians 6:12).

i believe that satan is going to have a stronghold until the Church becomes fully aware of and prepares to do battle in the spirit realm.

God bless the young people. May they see through the deception of the spirit of the age. May they reject nihilism.

I agree with you pamjane 100%. I just started going back to Church last September and I see it. It's so clear to me. It feels as if somehow the Church has fallen a sleep and the enermy has walked in right through the front door and we're so busy living in this world that we don't see it.

God Bless

As a person under 30 and a youth leader I see it more and more. Satan is after the youth of this world more than ever. Also it seems he is very actively trying to destroy young Christian married couples who minister together as well.

I fully agree, and have seen this going on for some time. I have a background in the military, and the way I see Satan at work is right along the lines of pyschological operations. He's hitting in ways most people wouldn't think about and they don't know how far he's progressed. Mainly in the families, with seperation and division. Divorce is at an all time high, single parents are too busy to raise their young, and fundamental morals are at an all time low. God is being persecuted across the media (another one of Satan's tools), and removed from the fiber of what America was created for. Basically, anything is acceptable in the name of being "politacally correct". The good thing is, people are seeking a sense of peace and fullfilment. They are willing to listen, they do know the world is in a state of confusion and they are beginning to realize they feel "lost". Sometimes they find the right path, other times they get even more lost by taking anti-depressants that are improperly prescribed by a doctor, or fall into other recreational drugs or addictive acctivities (sexual) seeking fulfillment. Which only embeds them deeper in their hole. The best way to combat this is to keep your life right with God and be an example for the world to follow, God will bring you people to minister to once you have everything in order as his desciple. Expect to come under attack yourself because Satan doesn't want you in a pro-active state ministering for God. Now is the time to be as strong of a Christian as you know how to and ask God for help. Don't give way to any grey areas of temptation, as these can lead to bigger and worse things to lead you astray from the life God has for you. I'm sure alot of you already know this stuff, but I just felt led to type it, because I've been living it, and often wondered if some christians out there have sensed the same things.

If Jesus is the prodical son who is the dutyful son? it has been 2000 year since Jesus came and i believe gods plan for the new jerusalem to decend too the earth is presently in hand.

Read revelations and link the 7 churchs with two icons (the lamp stand which is the bride of christ and the star which is the angel sent by the father)each with the 7 trumpets and the 7 seals then read the synoptics mathew, mark, luke, and john

and believe there was a Prodical son sent to save from blood guilt so there has to be the dutyful son to save us from eatting foods sacrificed to idols which is the devils food and causes us to sin.

We are booth spirit and physical and have a stomach in our soul and physical body. Our feeling are the spiritual food that we eat and share.

So if you feel gelous of some one for likeing someone more than you, you may give off a feeling which may hurt someone.

So if Jesus died physicaly to save us os sins such as theft or murder, who will save us from our spiritual sin when we hurt each others feelings? how will the dutyful son save us as in death to be rezzurected?

I agree completely. Today's society is based around sin. We see it EVERYDAY on t.v. Homosexuality, sex, murder etc.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
