It took me many years and several serious defeates to learn this the hard way.

this is not a ministry you just decide to do on your own.

Amen Sam and Ilive4Him!!

Jacqueline,

I would venture to say, and this is just my opinion from observation etc...that there are not many called for "THIS" ministry.

Sure we all have the authority in Christ to rebuke the enemy, and should do so.

Even the most trained, equipped, mentored individual experiences back-lash. It is a ministry hazard if you will. You would need to be a part of some seriously dedicated intercessors, who would be covering you day and night.

Having said that if you feel a burden in this area, then bring it before the Lord for confirmation, and submit it to your leadership. They too will pray and seek confirmation.

Never forget that this is all done in GOd's perfect timing not ours. Even if you are called to this ministry. The biggest mistake we make is to step out on our own, and not with the Lord. This I believe is a direct result of an over zealous heart to please the Lord, but is also often a measure of our maturity in Christ, and definately a weakness that the enemy is hoping for.

Be blessed in your journey.

Karen

But even though I want to do this I've decided that the most important thing for me to do right now is to continue to learn about our father, Jesus. What good will it do me if I learn what Satan is allowed to do if I still don't understand so much about our Lord?

Bravo Jacqueline!!!! There is a time and place for all things. There is a season for all things. You never stop fighting in this spiritual war - even when you are learning. But learning who you are in Christ is very important!!! You need to understand the authority thru Christ that a believer has.

Acts 19

14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?" 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

Interesting that he said Jesus and Paul I know. Jesus never struggled with who he was, he knew his father and his father's heart and will. Paul, he had a radical conversion and sought to do anything to please God and do his will. So the believers in the bible who did great things, knew who their God was and where the authority and power was coming from. They did not wield it lightly. They asked for God to use them and trusted that his word was solid, trustworthy and absolute authority. So, I would say it is good for you to take some time to study the word. Hide it in your heart. Memorize it. For even Jesus when tempted responded with quoted the word. And once you have taken some time, God will begin to reveal more and more to you things that he wants you to help deal with and how he wants you to fight. Like spiritual warfare and your part to play in it. We are all called to be people of prayer. Nothing happens but by prayer, because thru prayer faith is exercised.

To many Christians believe their untouchable by Satan because they are Christians and I've found that that is not true

You know there are 2 sides to everything. People give him too much credit and elevate the snivelling creature to higher than he should be. BUT, there are so many times where people do not either want to see, or just can't see that he is a very real threat. We are however armed to fight him and we are told that the ultimate battle has been won. Jesus did that for us. So, in this knowledge we march out planning to defeat satan and all his tactics. But we should not be oblivious to him and that he does not like us. AT ALL.

Remember to not lean on your own strength. I hear your heart and I understand the desire within you. I have thought things like that myself. But even now, I am still learning that I must go into every battle prepared and in prayer. And you know when that is?? Every morning. I expect good things every day and I expect a rebuttle every day. So I pray. I seek God and ask for his strength and guidance every morning to get thru the day, and if there be someone I can help, then God give me strength, wisdom, and protection.

Every one has a calling, gifts and marvelous plan for their lives that God has designed. If you seek him daily, moment by moment to be in his will, you will find those answers, you will find protection and you will gain more understanding and knowledge then you could ever imagine. God will use those who are willing. He will be your teacher and he will guide you in all these areas you have questions.

Keep persuing Him and reading the Word. That is the best path to take always.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
