I know many of you are saying, 'duhhhh!' but it really hit me today when I got on YouTube. On my page, two of the 'Featured' videos were those in direct combat with Christianity/theism, and one was some random video of a nude woman. Here I was thinking that YouTube was supposed to be somewhat of a decent site, bar the disgustingly rude community. Makes you really realize that you're not in God's world- this world belongs to Satan. It's really showing. Morality, in decline or otherwise, is subjective. I wouldn't go looking to YouTube as any sort of standard of human morality, or Christian morality. It's just another element of Satan's attraction, distraction, and usurpation. This is why we forbid YouTube links on Worthy. I have never understood this strategy. Isolation produces ignorant intolerance, not moral superiority. Hollywood has intentionally released more and more smut ("pushing the envelope") since at least the early '80's - perhaps even sooner (I was too young to notice then). The more smut they produced, the more it became acceptable. Or perhaps a wealthy conservative Christian autocracy has been "pushing the envelope" in its efforts to assert moral authority. This statement leads me to ask if you consider yourself a Christian. Do you? It is not the "wealthy conservative Christian autocracy" that "has been "pushing the envelope" in its efforts to assert moral authority", but Gods word. 1 Peter 1:13-16 (New King James Version) Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written,

Simply go down the Forbes list of the wealthiest Americans.

It's nearly impossible to turn on TV with out being deluged with trashy shows (and thats just the commericals advertising them). I shudder to think of what some of these shows are like in their full time slot. I like to watch the news and would like to watch it without some over the top sexual inuendo laden advertisement. I am scared to really get started on how awful things have become....not enough room to write it all I would think. But as Christians this should come as no surprise to us, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with at times. When I see all this stuff, I really do thank God that I am no longer "of the world", just in it!

There's no excuse to not be witnessing in one way or another, now that we can connect instantly and impersonally to anyone around the world!
