my story is NOT catholic doctrine...I just discerned that ALL BY MYSELF from the scriptures this morning...so you still refuse to discuss it because you 'disagree' with it? Does my analysis have ANY merit? Why or why not? Do you believe that YOUR CHURCH teaches all truth? Or do you know ALL truth?

Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be of no advantage to you. Heb 13:17 . . . how do you comply with this, and don't tell me it's the POLICE...

ServingHim...I do feel as though I am beating my head against the wall. To answer your question simply, I believe that with my bible in hand and the Holy Spirit to guide me, I need no further instruction from any doctrine or human being for that matter. Now with that said, do I ask my pastor and other godly, mature believers for spiritual advice or their opinions on scripture? Yes. I believe God can use them to confirm what He is saying to me but I always verify it with the word of God and if it doesn't add up...I don't listen. And by the way...if the Bible wasn't part of God's plan then why don't we just disregard it alltogether?

No, ServingHim, I did not say that the Holy Spirit is guiding us all because He is not. (and that's not directed to anyone inparticular)

no one ever said it WASN'T part of God's plans; it is just NOT what Christ came to establish..He did NOT establish a 'BOOK'

Jesus quoted from the Scriptures constantly. He reminded the people to follow their instruction, constantly. So yes, God did give us a book. And he expects us to follow it, not our own rules.

Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Matthew 4:10

Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"

Matthew 21:13

"It is written," he said to them, " 'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den of robbers.'"

Matthew 26:24

The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born."

Matthew 26:31

This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: "I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered."

Mark 1:2

It is written in Isaiah the prophet: "I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way"

Mike, I was reading your post and thought you were making good points till I got to this part:

those seeking signs are those that will still be seeking them when the rapture comes and goes, and they will, again, fall victim to the deceipt of satan, and will be waiting for signs after church has been raptured..... of those left, there will be

The pre-trib rapture is one of those "signs" that people are seeking. I think the theory itself is one of those suble deceptions of satan. Catholic or protestant, a lot of people are looking for signs. People always have and Jesus Himself spoke of a wicked generation seeking a "sign".

Charlie, the Pre-Trib rapture is biblical,

the prophecies that lead up to the end times are pointing to the end times, not the rapture, for the rapture can take place before all the prophecies have taken place and 7 years is plenty of time for any and all the prophecies that are left to take place in......

there is no way for man to know just by the signs as to when the rapture will take place, in order to do that, there would have to be many many more things happen, but the problem is, the rapture is 7 years prior to the end of this earth as we know it, so, for us to pin point the date of the rapture, we would first have to have the 7 year peace tready that is broken at 3.5 years, and then uuuu lala.... watchout...

for some one seeking the sign of a pretrib rapture, they will miss the rapture and be left behind....... cause seeking the sign is not seeking the Lord.....

for those that chose to put off taking Jesus as their Lord and Savior until tomorrow, they are taking one whopper of a chance, those that are not ready, just wont go....... they can say they believe in God all they want..... satan believes in God...... they can say they believe in Jesus all they want, and that Jesus is the Son of God....... satan also believes it, fact is, satan knows it first hand, that aint nuff.... a person has to have Jesus as their LORD, now that is something satan aint done, and wont do..... a person has to follow Jesus, and that again, is something that satan aint gonna do...... there wont be any fence walkers..... there wont be any of those that are mixing religions..... remember what was written about Israel when some were worshipping idols and mixing it with God to try and look like they was doing good, they was condemned worse then those that were just worshipping idols and not mixing it with God....

I am not trying to make this an eschathology thread, just passing on a message.

figures that were made for the temple were made for a specific reason, those that were made with out the leadership of God were made by man and are idols.... the mercy seat has a specific design for a specific purpose, as does the alters and the tables and the lamp stands and and and and....... we no longer have a need for the mercy seat, even thou there are some that think they might know where it is at ( it is said that the ark of the covenent is under galgotha ) which was placed there for protection from thieves and such.... it is said that it will be brought back into view for the people when the anticrist shows his ugly face.....

do we need signs???? no, but it is nice to know that we have some to go on, so that we can use them for the Glory of God so that we can bring lost souls to Him...

I have yet to go chasing after some preacher that is claimed to have healed massive amounts of people, i am not in need of a healing, God provided my healing with out the aide of a TV preacher or some great revival, my healing came from the Lord God thru my seeking Him daily thru fasting and praying thru seclussion while seeking the Lord.... the healing i received is a complete healing for that which ailed me.....

yea, some people are chasing after shadows...... yes, God can use a jackass, God can use a bush on fire and not consumed, God can use anything He choses, satan can mimic...... God told us not to bow down to graven images, satan has gotten people to bow down to them..... God told us not to have any other before Him, satan has us asking other beings for spiritual things........ God wants us to be His children, we turn to worldly things for our comfort and needs.....God wants to provide all things we need, and what our heart desires, we choose to try and do this on our own....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
