:)

No wonder this country is doomed.

Christians can't even agree together in prayer, nor encourage each other to get on our knees.

Pretty amazing ain't it? You make a thread about praying for someone and it turns into a "Once Saved Always Saved" vs. "Can you lose salvation?" argument. Hasn't this been done to death by now? Sheesh...I think some people live their lives for the sake of arguing their side of this debate or something.

No he claims to have had a born again experience and claims Christ.

So given that works do not save us and so if he was saved once, regardless we have to go by his words right?

I am being somewhat sarcastic here and I have to apologize a little. I don't know if he is a Christian or not, I do not make those sorts of judgments, I don't understand how any Christian could support abortion so this would be very questionable for me. But are we not being a little hypocritical here, we claim to hold to a once saved always saved idea, and also that we do not have to repent and worry about hell for individual sins, all future sins are forgiven, well if Obama has had the born again experience and trusts Jesus as his Lord, than his sin of supporting abortion would be forgiven, correct?

Actually i dont believe the OSAS idea too. Accepting Jesus and trusting him are only the first steps of being a " Christian". Jesus told peter " leave everything and follow me". Obama can shout to the Lord all he wants but unless he follows Him he cant qualify to be what he claims to be-- and neither can anyone else for that matter. The Bible further states " and we shall know them by their fruits", so someone who supports abortion is showing the fruit in him. I dont think anyone who follows and bears the fruit of Jesus can support abortion or anything that contradicts God's word. and hence one can make his own judgement or opinion on that.

Sister Nebula: You are right on.

:deadthread:

We don't know what is going on behind the scenes. We don't know about anything we hear - it could be true or false. Who cares. We just need to pray. I do believe that's what God would have us do.
