I really love his book, "Hells best kept secret" about evangalism; but I noticed that his books mainly focus on using logic and resoning to win people to Christ. You may say whats wrong with that? Well reasoning and logic only deals with the mind of the unbeleiver and not the their heart. I have no problem with people trying to reason with unbelievers, If done with good intentions, but you must understand no matter how well you present your argument or how well you lay out the facts before them, they will never come to Christ based only factual logical information and no matter how well you can explain it to them. Their hearts and minds are blinded by sin and demonic powers. It takes God breaking them down by fervent prayer, fasting and spirtual warfare. Once God has broken and peireced their heart you want need to debate about God or science with them, they will come to you seeking, "what must I do to be saved". God is not looking for lawyers or scientist with phd's who can persuade and debate the unbelievers. God is looking for simple people who will humble themselves and pray and seek his face and pray let your will be done. Jedi

Wisdom is to be sought. We are to be ready to give an answer. The most logical truthful and reasonable answers are out there and available... but God doesn't want us to use them? But sometimes it helps to break down the mind before the heart can be broken down. I know I've heard testimonies of people who had to have their reasoning questioned before they considered seeking after the Lord.
Guest
Jedi - I understand what you are saying. But sometimes it helps to break down the mind before the heart can be broken down. I know I've heard testimonies of people who had to have their reasoning questioned before they considered seeking after the Lord. Exactly. I was one of those people who needed to be confronted with the reality that my worldly thinking didn't add up. I only started listening to what the believers around me were saying when I began to realize that evolution didn't answer all the questions I had. That's part of the logic & reason part in Way of the Master. For some people, you have to get past all the logic and reason before they can "get it" that they are a sinner. The Holy Spirit does the real work, but we have our part too.
